Home of 1116 SEN's best AFL coverage from across the week, including expert analysis from the likes of Nathan Buckley, David King, Kane Cornes, Gerard Healy and more!
How Boring are these two? I last about 5 minutes. It's like two Dad's just chatting about current topics. Not really providing any of their Skills, Study, etc. Atleast with Cornes, King, etc - They have their own opinions, and discuss things that may happen, etc.. Instead of just waiting for the things to happen, and then talk about them or wait for others to come up with things and just feed off that. We all can do that.. Classic example of why American Sports Broadcasting will always be the best
Got to 30 seconds into the video before I looked to the comment section to find this. I’m not sure about others but I don’t care about Tyson stengles contract negotiations at round 14, I care about footy analysis.
American broadcasting is sensationalist and narrative driven. People in the US are sick of it for a reason. It's more about entertainment than analysis
Go blue boys big test for both clubs , lots to be taken out of the result of this game for both clubs win or lose it’s more a question if the game is tight , and only lose by a kick , you would be happy sort of 🫣
Kane is right, taking his stats from the last 5 games when 4/5 of them he's been pretty injured and probably shouldn't have even been out there is a bit silly
blah-blah If you went to the doctors with Petracca's symptoms (before the "symptoms changed") they would not send you home for half an hour and look at a "list" of symptoms to check
What I’m curious about regarding Brisbane is the fact that in the last 6 weeks, bar 1 game, they’ve always looked in control and dominated games for most parts, and the results show that. The danger to playing slingshot footy is being exposed the other way, but when it works it’s can’t be stopped either. The problem with all these stats, and you use them to “deep dive” into the last couple of weeks to paint the picture you want over all. What’s their profile for the season? And you could say that about any team. Over all, what are the numbers that you cherish so much? I’m probably biased but my take is that they’ve proven, and you’ve agreed, that when it’s needed, they can clamp a game down and make it terrible to watch. But now out of necessity of needing results, they’ve decided to play the footy that has made them so successful and lo and behold, they start winning. Key injuries don’t help and that dictates how you play, but all things considered they’ve recovered pretty bloody well. Still a lot of footy to play out, so I won’t write them off just yet…
You need statistics to tell. us port adel have been unable to do it this yr. I just had a turkey tell me port adel have done nothing since 2004. Can Kane Cornes ask Ken Hinkley for a pre match forecast goal result for the upcoming games? A proper coach should be able to predict an outcome with some accuracy before the game. As they should know their strength and weaknesses and that of the opposition. Wouldnt it be hilarious to measure this as a coaches stat.?Maybe that's a coaching stat we need to start to measure. Too many deviations from mean will be calculated as clueless.
Hahahaha “some would say he’s in the best 22 players” in the afl 🤣🤣🤣 Where does Kane have the proof? Ppl can hate hoyne at times but I’m sure the math never lies, he said he’s not even rated top 60 players because of statistics accumulated but then again Kane is always right!!! It’s like Caro with her sources ‘everyone at club land thinks the same way’ she never reveals her sources but tells us she has got her stats from every individual she spoke to behind the scenes, it’s like me saying I’ve got my Ferrari in my garage but never opening the door 😂
It’s an interesting observation of Fremantle’s stats and it pretty well explains what’s happening with their season. If the midfield get first grab the pressure is off the backs from getting that fast ball in. Any team getting first hand at the bounce will show up the lack of one-on-one abilities. Both Pearce and Ryan came off for treatment during the Demons game so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve lost some explosiveness with injury.
Also give a chop out to Draper. Made his rushed debut at age of 21 and held his spot because we have nobody else (Cox and McDonald injured). Defence is a unit so when you have one key defender creating a hole is upsets the whole ship. Cox coming back will plug that hole and then some. He doesn't just defend he intercept marks. Something Draper is yet to develop.
@@JGFormentin, yeh, Draper is a smart player but doesn’t have the strength yet to impact some of the contested stuff. He’s done we’ll in a short time though.
Nrl 3x state of origin prime time grand final Sunday night prime time why do afl give free kick to nrl and play grand final in the world move forward 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Not there with you and as scathing against the PA captain - what an absolute shocker Kane. What happened to just calling it how you see it and calling it on what they're doing now? The complete bias and double standard is where you lose all credibility
Zero admission it was a bad call all round by docs, player and the AFL for petracca. Clearly trying to protect the game more than the players. If your going to hold the boys on the field as accountable as you are, its time to up the anty on clubs, docs and the AFL for lack of care.. not to mention they get more time on their decisions unlike the split second ones on field
Are umpires accounts and the accounts of family and friends watched for betting profits? That seems like the next step that media people going crazy about umpiring decisions every week. Everyone working in defence or the government with a security clearance expects their bank acct to be monitored. Perhaps umpires neeed to sign up for that sort of monioring too, in order to get paid for one days work a week.
I'm sick and tired seeing these ridiculous suspensions in the AFL. No continuity, and heart break for players missing finals. Time for a sin bin or a soccer card system.
