Yellow is the color your brain reacts to the fastest (alongside green) because it’s in the middle of our visible spectrum, making yellow stand out to us more. Red gives us better reaction time because it displays a sense of urgency in our brain, making us faster and stronger. Note: some of this might not be accurate, as I’m not exactly the best at color psychology or whatever, however I’m pretty sure most of it is true
I'm nearsighted (literally just makes my vision really bad) so when i hold angles i simply don't see the enemies at all, I don't react, I don't see them, PLEASE HELP
I'm sure you've tried before but if you're using Windows 10 or 11 (100% 11 has it) they have a colour blind mode thing Idk if it works because I'm not colour blind but it has three modes (Deuteranopia, Protanopia, and Tritanopia)
@@milanf4465nah your wrong what dude said in the video is 100 percent correct. Red will help with reaction time but not actually tracking or anything like that
Yellow colors only grab your attention since it pops bright with respect to the surrounding. It makes the enemy more 'noticeable'. Red color kicks your fight or flight response because we perceive Red as danger. It makes us think the opposing side as 'enemies'. Grabbing your attention to something unique and grabbing your attention to something dangerous are two completely different things and the latter has more use in FPS games. That's why what he said in the video is right about Red being more easy to react to and yellow being more easy to spot.
@@enarum8785 ahh i see that makes sense thank you. but there are actual wavelengths that have a lower reaction time than others, for instance the colors red, orange and yellow have the lowest reaction times
I always use purple, i feel like red is not visible enough and yellow makes me sometime think they are my own teammates( i know im an idiot ). But with purple i feel like its just right with every aspect. So i think its just preference. Love you're content btw❤
I was playing with yellow out lines , during a close combat in a game there were 2 kj in screen and i got confused which one is enemy n which one is teammate , i just shot both of them ( hit n trial)
He’s so right whenever I use Reyna Ult with purple the enemy’s will be right in front of me and I won’t see them, so much so to where they crouch walk up in a zig zag and knife me. 🤦♀️
I was using Purple untill I wasn't able to see an enemy infront of a clove smoke and loses the round. Change to yellow after that. But probably will change back to purple when using viper.
I mean yellow is sometimes hard to see lol especially I struggle with only killjoy and chamber they're so yellow and when I use yellow outline they're basically just a moving flash
You know whats even better change it to purple then fiddle with colour settings via graphics card or razer software ;) to then “make adjustments” and turn everything weirder colours that stand out far more, but hurt ur eyes after awhile. You’ll be calling yellow on breeze blue or bright pink. Or green depending pn how u set it. I gotta 3060 12gb card only but it can do no performance impact. 2560x1440p fullscreen setting tho in val set to 1920x1080 so my crosshair looks bigger and feels better imo. They way i have it setup vipers walls and mollys look PINK PINK
Nope, most of the maps have muted, more orangey-brown colors compared to the vibrant shining yellow of the outlines. Even on Yellow Box in Icebox enemies are still visible. Don't knock it 'til you try it.
Idk about the yellow.. alot of the maps has a bunch of yellow colors which basically does not help, especially bind.. My cousin used to tell me to use yellow like him because it was OP but then I told him to try purple and he suddenly said purple is best enemy outline and that it was aim bot💀💀
I literally main clove and I use purple😅. Personally, it works best for me because purple stands out for me, yellow blends in. Maybe i'm the weirdo but I like my set up.
I used to main viper, npw she got nerfed and i keep the purple outline for nostalgia... anyway i main clove now and the purple outline is really getting on my nerves
Yellow is the color your brain notices first that’s why school busses, safety poles, etc. are all painted yellow. It’s called safety yellow as the color for a reason.
Yes, there is study. Red signals danger = aggressive reaction/alarm. Yellow calls for attention (like warning signs). Purple has good contrast because it's a vibrant darkish color (pairs well with a lot of neon/bright colors).
I actually just switched to yellow outline yesterday. I exclusivity play swiftplay, and the map pools for it dont have a ton of bright colors, besides sunset.
If you like the color purple, you'll naturally have a bias towards it and see it first. I've especially used this fact to throw my elo shooting at my team's Reyna who's just ulted and is completely purple
Your red and yellow info is just wrong. Yellow is the color your brain reacts to the fastest because it's the brightest. Red is the most visible one because very few things in Valorant are red
Purple is the best Only in purple i can react the fastest spotting enemies quicker than yellow in fact, with yellow i miss them and cant spot the enemies in time Am i the only one? Im d2 btw
Hard lesson learned today but at least this wasn’t rank, neon ult and the yellow outline fckd me up, both neons used their ults in one round, my ass saw the enemy neon and didn’t think much of it 🤦♂️
