It is so refreshing to hear these guys speak the truth of the function of food versus just blaming our metabolic state on the patient. There is so much to obesity than just over eating. It is what we eat, our often we eat and how our body responds to the specific foods we eat. The USDA recommends a ludicrous amount of carbohydrates, which for many causes such weight gain and metabolic disfunction. We cook the meals for the school students with too many carbs (serving bread, sugar cereals, and chips) , we coach the welfare recipients to eat too many carbs and tell them to buy the prepared foods because they don’t know how to cook (instead of teaching them), we feed our patients and staff workers at the hospital too many carbs and processed foods and blame the cardiovascular patient for not eating right, we feed the military soldiers too many carbohydrates in their meals and wonder why they are are not soldier ready.... then we blame the patient for over eating. This starts at the guidelines, Thanks for the continued effort in helping us figure this out so we can get on track.
You all prolly dont give a shit but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the login password. I love any help you can give me
@Avery Kamden I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
He mentions anabolic responses but says nothing about this condition as related to Mitochondrial function and what those related causes could be. This is not a caloric problem, it's a cellular Functional issue.
In pregnant women due to estrogen and human placenta lactogen the insulin levels are 4 times higher as before. But their glucose levels are higher due to those hormones, too and at the same time the cells threshold for insulin is a lot higher during pregnancy ... so why on earth should more insulin in a gestational diabetes therapy approach work...... doesn't that add to the problem? And metformin can overcome the placenta barrier... is there anyone who could help me grasp this concept?
A school child was not allowed food in the classroom now they eat constantly usually high carb (potato wheat rice) plentiful salt....unless Halloween. I think salt might be a needed culprit as in salt hunger vs carb hunger thoughts?
The question should not be what makes fat people fat. The question is, how and why can slim people eat all they want and get no exercise but they permanently maintain an ideal weight and without any special efforts
The book "30 Days to Stop Overeating" by Harper Daniels takes an interesting mindfulness approach. Weight loss can be very psychological, tied to stress etc.
The 'Doctor' directly misquotes (let alone misinterprets!) the findings of the 'Diogenes Study', although he himself put the slide up on the screen. LMFAO...….That Robert Lustig;s a Paediatrician too, isn't he?...Perhaps these gentlemen should stick to their chosen specialities; thus making it less likely they'll get their arses kicked all down the road.
@@thomasgronek6469 et al: Can't be bothered to watch this crap again, but, from what I recall, it was something in the lecture itself which demonstrated that he was misinterpretating the study. You don't need ANY information to see that...You do, however, need information, to become informed. So the fact that you're going around trying to get people to shut up probably illustrates why your brain is so small, you're reduced to being a 'fan-boy'. THINK about it....
I do not understand your point. I have read the study and can find neither the misinterpretation nor the misquote. For those interested this is the study www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/Nejmoa1007137
