Fun fact: Tea leaf is originally originated from ancient China, then travel to India and Japan. But then the British invaded China and India and they import to Europe. So, tea is not only a drink in many Asian countries it's a form of culture and custom
VERY Wong. tea was traded from china to Britain LONG before any invasion. Tea did not travel to India from China, in fact it was the British that introduced India to tea during their colonisation. Britain actually had tea before india.
@@ye1386 not correct. During the Tang Dynasty a monk travel to India and Japan bringing along with him the tea leaves , which is how India and Japan came to know of tea. And during the 1600s Dutch traders brought a larger amount of tea to Europe many credited Catherine of Bragonza, a Portuguese noble lady for introducing the tea to Britain when she married King Charles 2 in 1661.
@@BorutoExplained I know but tea was from China. That’s why the British started smuggling opium into China. Chinese had a monopoly on tea and they restricted foreign trade to only one city. Eventually the British found out how to grow tea plants so they made the Indians plant them. India was a British colony at the time and their soil was perfect for planting tea
@@nopperabosfathersasshole4944 ik about the opium war but tea in india existed since 5000 years ago and it was used as a healing beverage whereas britishers made it "commercial" for their own benifits and chinese varieties of tea were first introduced in India to break the Chinese monopoly on tea the britsh used Chinese seed and techniques to yield high quality tea. Britishers were a bunch of theives lol
It's per capita meaning, annual consumption over the total number of population since your country has vast number of population the result is significantly lower. Search it on internet the result and ranking is there. Don't get offended on silly ranking like this it ain't competition.
You should really come visit Turkey. Average person drinks 10 cups a day ot more. These statistics doesn't count the smuggled tea we drink. There is no way any other nation passes us on that. Because we are already on the limit.
@@Light-lj2dz I am telling why they are first in Ranking because they drink a lot like 10 to 12 times a day .Indians and pakistanis also drink a lot but if you adjust for per capita it will come down because population of India is very large.
While drinking 🍸 🤪!!kya aap abhi bhi ye comment padh rahi hain chai pite hue 🤣.if yez then 1 indian would be consuming more than 100 tirkish guy🇹🇷 per annum.
It’s per capita consumption. The stats are correct look them up. Say an average Indian drinks 1 cup made from x grams a day, those in turkey may drink multiple cups made from greater than x grams per day. Also i think this is for black tea, but I could be wrong about that. But you maybe right in total weight per country, some of the larger Asian countries will probably top the list.
They’re probably thinking of “tea” as being mainly tea and water …. whereas for south Asians “tea” means milk and tea and sugar and ginger and whatever other spices you want to use😂😂
I usually drink 5-8 cups of tea almost everyday. It can be black, green, herbal, chai, milk tea, fruit tea, etc… I am huge fan of tea. So I rarely drink other drinks than tea. I do drink hot cocoa, cider, cold brew coffee and milk; just not that often. Edited: I am from USA.
The first thing the Indians do in the morning is go to the respective house or shops and pick up the milk bottle or the packets and make tea in their houses. In the morning and the afternoon its a must , You can prolly hear the elders in the house shouting if they dont get their tea before 7am and 5pm.
It wasnt disallowed you simply just didn't understand the video. The study is per person not the whole country itself. So if you had 50 Turks and 50 Indians the Turks would drink a lot more tea, that's basically how the study is.
@@hughmungus4789 lmao as an average 17 yr old. I drink tea 4 times in a day. And trust me when I say adults drink even more . We indians function on tea sir . Even on the basis of tea drunk per person. India would have topped the list . We r the biggest tea producers and consumers in the world.
India is kind of divided between and coffee. Also, we have a huge population so I guess per capita is lease. Also most of these countries drink tea without milk. So they probably consumer more tea leaves than us.
History: “Tea was invented in China and practised the most in India” The creator: ha how about we just put USA Russia and other countries. Can’t hear ya!
You don't understand, the creators know that India and china should be on the list. They haven't added them to the list because they know indians will get to commenting on this post. More comments > better performing post and reach. Social Media Strategy in a nutshell. YT creators aren't dumb they just sly.
@@kashitakhalate9116 well speculation has it that China started it and Indians consume more of it. But it is true that RU-vidrs use this little trick on Indians. Nothing new
Actually India has been said that India has the best tea in the world and accepted by everyone and we Indians are also consuming more tea than other countries
I an not Indian but yeah I know that Indians drink a lot of tea and the tea they drink is so much deep and tasty I drank Indian tea with my Indian uncle ❤️
I was eager to see the name 'India', however, 'Tea' is in our daily breakfast and evening snacks menu, and we use it as a cure of headache too, yes I'm from India 🇮🇳 I don't think anyone drinks tea more than Indians.
@@anko0595 3 times? my mom drinks 7-8 cups before and after meals after waking up after Pooja and also at night And it's also not a cup it's like a full glass 😂

Fun fact : Indian's blood is fully composed of tea we drink it atleast 2 - 5 times a day 2 is the most of the people prefer but when you visit some villages people drink tea 5 times a day ☕‼️‼️
@@ILOVEOBJECTSHOWSSS hmmmmmm yes kids below 10 are not supposed to drink coffee and you can consume tea 1 time a day its healthy but drinking coffee is not a good for kids like you 😊
I thought India would top the list, it is among the biggest producer as well as consumer of tea... I grew up in India and still can't live without my tea.
@@doyouknowme2128 I think u need to read my sentence carefully... I said India is 'among the biggest producers' not 'the biggest producer'.. I know China is the biggest producer and India is second.
Yaar you are literally correct. For both Indians and Pakistanis tea is like oxygen we cannot live without it.. Me as an Indian tea lover drinks like 4 or 5 times a day
I'm working in a Chinese company and my boss is Chinese. I've never seen him drinking plain water, he always bring a bottle of tea to work, and make some glasses of tea at work. At the restaurant, he even order a pot of tea
I was hoping for the following list: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India & Pakistan as the folks here float in tea. Maybe the countries represented in this video have most consumption per capita of only black tea as in South Asia, India & Pakistan particularly, tea is mixed with milk.
I don’t think that Afghanistan has a high tea consumption. How are they suppose to grow tea when the country is so arid and dry. I also doubt that they have enough funds to import it.
@@justus4341With exception of India, all others are heavy consumers not producers. Pakistan terrain is mostly arid to semi-arid. Afghans are fond of tea but green one. And on lighter note folks of sub-continent can compromise their countries economies in favor of tea.
Iran is a country in asia bro. China and Japan or East asian countries in general are not the only part in asia. Turkey is also partly in both europe and asia same as Russia.
Afghanistan, I was in India we drink more then indian, we are drinking plain tea it is easy to make, and plus the indian drinks with small cups, we use bigger cup and from morning till night we keep making tea.
Actually turks drink like 5-10 glasses every day. Per person of course. And turks drink so much that they don’t have enough black tea to drink so they buy it from other countries.
