Mujahedeen were also funded by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. If speaking about that, also mention what made those Mujahedeen to start the war. Afghanistan invasion was not made by U.S only. It was in cooperation with Northern alliance of Akham Shah Masud. They won Taliban and send them back to Pakistan. A lot of humanitarian help was given by U.S. as well. During U.S stay in Afghanistan there was relative stability in there.

@@leylamohamed7950 Pakistan is an ethnic mess of a nation. There are multiple ethnicities in the country that don't want to be there, example pashtuns, balochs. Pakistan is ran by the Punjabs of Pakistan while other ethnicites have literally no say. Pakistan has also been against a stable and prosperous Afghan nation because of potential pashtun nationalism which is why they trained so many terrorists in their country to go and combat afghanistan. As Afghans, we love pakistani people because they are very similiar to us, however, we won't forget what their goverments have done against us.

India and Afghanistan had several small kingdoms. They weren't a single country for specific people. Whole indian subcontinent is so diverse. If you know the history then you sure know many leaders from your own country had betrayed you, so why don't you hate your own country? There are a lot minorities in Afghanistan that hold the similar views regarding Afghanistan which Afghans hold towards “new country” aka Pakistan. Why care for a bigger land when you can't even take care of the land and people you have right now? I say the same for Pakistan. We should take care of what we have already instead of dwelling on last century. Fighting with each other will not take us anywhere. We should learn political wisdom from West. Surprisingly, very few people named the country and her supporters that had killed thousands of Afghans. That's what blind hatred do to people. They can't see the real enemy. Majority of us are Muslims, so we shouldn't harbor hatred against each other especially when common people aren't harming the immigrants. The government of both countries have made terrible decisions, however, common people of Pakistan aren't responsible for whatever happened in Afghanistan. We also suffered a lot, still, majority of Pakistanis don't hate Afghans or any other community.

Actually, your definition of Afghan is so wrong. Afghanistan is very diverse and you being Pashtun doesn't mean you are Afghan as we have Tajiks, Uzbeks, Turkmen, and Hazaras. We hate Pakistan for supporting barbar and closed-minded Taliban and training and educating them in their madrasas to ban our girls from university and schools plus interfering in our personal chores.

As a Pathan and Pakistani, we also have some grudges with Afghanistan. Because the land which they are talking about is now Pakistan is all because of a treaty signed by British Indian Empire and Afghan Empire in 1890's in which the Afghans "Sold" their lands and People to british empire. My ancestors from Pakistan side fought for Afghan kings in the Past felt betrayed and this is still runs in our generation. So how can they claim that Pakistan stole their lands as there was no Pakistan in 1890's , they didn't consented with Pushtoons of Pakistani side and sold it to British Empire like Goats and sheep ?? Why do they hate Pakistan as Afghanistan didn't recognised Pakistan as a sovereign state when Pakistan became a Free country.?? They talk about terrorism, but they will not tell you about 4 million Afghan who migrated to Pakistan, Majority of them took Pakistani citizenship and then migrated to Europe or in the US as Pakistanis... And those Afghans who say Indians are friends,then ask any Indian that what they think about Afghan Kings who rule over India , they call them invaders , barbarians or uncivilised savages. Then why don't Afghan hate them ??? My tribe lives both sides of the border and I am an Afghani by race but I am not a hypocrite. The Afghanis will tell you what Pakistan did with them in the 80's but if you ask any Pakistani Pushtoon, he will start from 1890's.

Hey man, I grew up in Afghanistan and have lived there since childhood, as I am Afghan. I had to leave the country to pursue my bachelor’s degree. I worked as an English teacher in various academies in Afghanistan. I must admit that, as someone who speaks English well, I can explain why many Afghans don't cherish Pakistan. It's not the Pakistani people whom Afghans dislike but the government, which has been reinforcing various crews to invade Afghanistan for years. I wanted to clarify these points on behalf of my people.

I understand that there was a ten-year military invasion from 1979 to 1989, but still it was at the invitation of the Afghan government and the Russians did a lot of good: they built infrastructure, hospitals, schools.... And America and England just "bombed" and destroyed everything, besides America was "remote".... The Russians at least fought face to face. As a Pakistani, I'd say that it's understandable for the Afghans too dislike Pakistan's historical political practices towards them, but if there is any Afghan who hates Pakistani people because of it than that's just inconsiderate and pretty much dumb, considering all the love and support the local Pakistani public has been giving to their country and the refugees for decades.

They came (People did want democracy at the time), did some fighting with the Taliban, spent 20 years developing Afghanistan (The democracy USA installed was a failure and corrupt), and left in peace (Smoothly transferred power back to the Taliban because they realized we fucked up by bringing these warlords to the democratic government), they were very careful about civilian lives in the battles too unlike soviets. The USA still sends humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan. So why would we hate America? I just wish they handled things better but they really suck at building proper governments. The one that said US was probably a hardcore Taliban supporter or part of the regime. I expected Pakistan to be the most followed by the Russians and then maybe USA or British.

People in the comments have said that Afghanis don't like Pakistan because their country was stripped and given to a new country. But really, its because of President Musharraf and his role in aiding the U.S in their invasion of Afghanistan. There were many riots that took place in Pakistan due to that decision, but the U.S had given Pakistan an ultimatum to allow access for their weapons supplies or get hit by every sanction they could muster. This whole subcontinent is a mix of 100's of cultures and peoples. Balochi, Sindhi, Afghani, Pathan, Punjabi, Tamil, Gujrati etc etc. Ideally every "type" of people should then have their own country.

Afghans refer to Pakistani Punjabis as 'Dhal Khor' which means lentils eater. The real history behind this mild insult is due to historical battles between the Afghan Empire and the Punjabi Sikh Empire. The Sikh Punjabis fought wars and defeated Afghans. Sikh Punjabis and Pakistani Punjabis are of the same heritage. The Sikhs consumed lentils as they were strict vegans. Today Afghans use this insult towards Punjabis inreality their egos are damaged due to losing to Punjabis. Nothing wrong in consuming lentils, remember millions of Afghans have no food.

In Bald's video, I still liked the country, it didn't leave me with negativity about the country - but there was no English speakers, and most definitely not female (who were speaking English especially). Kabul would be the city with the most English speakers. Go to shahr naw district of Kabul. The country is much safer now, keep in mind there is still some insurgency going on (ISIS). Go with positivity, never say anything against the regime or the country, yes there is no freedom of speech and stuff and most people are illiterate but are very nice most of the time. People are nice as long as you are nice to them, and you will see women when you go there but Afghan women prefer not to be filmed most of the time and filming them without permission will get you in trouble. If you are a woman you may talk to Afghan women without any issues and ask them if you they allow you to film them, if you are a man best not approach them. Women may talk to men and women both without any problems. Yup, lots of traditions that sound ridiculous here but Afghanistan is yet to come out of the traditional old way of life due lack of a stable government till this day. Perhaps you could look for a female guide, that way, you could communicate to Afghan women. Also, wear Afghan clothes that way you'll blend in easily, If you are a woman you should have a headscarf, if you are a man you can go without a headscarf but should still be fully covered, don't wear shorts or etc.. and try to grow a beard. Hope I did not scare you away, these rules sound very demanding and hard on paper but we Afghans are used to them haha. Good Luck, Enjoy!

Because this is Kabul which has every ethnic group living there. You go to the South or east the majority is Pashtun so not much diversity there.

I couldn't believe my eyes how beautiful those children and people are! dark skin with green eyes- east Asian futures with blue eyes! wow-Afghans are unique! this shows how close the ethnicities are with each other- intermarriages and connections has given this nation special beauty that one cannot find anywhere in the world! they are not naturally dark skin, they are extremely sun tanned/damaged due to the harsh sun rays of living in higher altitudes + extreme poverty and the fact most Afghans spend most of their lives outdoors. There's very little infrastructure and not that much greenery due to 45 years of war, so people have very little shade to protect themselves from exposure to UV radiation. Add all of these factors up and you get Afghanistan and its people being generally sun damaged/tanned. Afghans who are a little well off are not this tanned.

Yeah Afghanistan has true and unique beauty. I saw gingers, blue eyes, dirty blonde hair, green eyes etc. I read somewhere that the Afghanistan has the 2nd most prevalence of green eyes after England!

We don't really hate the US, sure there was political hate but even at that most Afghans didn't care about it and it was Taliban vs USA. Despite the war, they did develope Afghanistan for 20 years, we know that and appreciate it. And the British empire was long ago, there is really no reason to hate them anymore because they didn't have much hand in modern politics. The most common answer would either be the soviet union (Russia) or Pakistan. While Americans were very careful about civilian lives, the soviets didn't care, they burned down entire villages including our village just because they thought some mujahideen were hiding there, they killed like 3 million Afghan people. Pakistan has always been involved in Afghan politics since the soviet invasion, often times supporting different factions including the Taliban, that's why a lot of people hate it.
