Cupra invited me to drive everything from their most affordable hot hatch to their most expensive SUV they offer. In this video you'll get to see what it's like to drive these Cupra's on track and see how they compare side by side.

For day to day commuting on our speed camera infested roads the Leon V is the value choice, however the Leon VZ probably is the sweet spot

I would take the optional sunroof rather than the exhaust personally 😅

Why take a sunroof so personally?

Sunroof will make your car more heavy so you would loose on performance. Same as getting automatic truck closing system. Those 2 will add additional 70kg in total which is not a small amount. But other thank that this is best motor produced in a long time. You can get Stage 2 on 2.0 TSI and get 420-450HP easy 2.5 TSI can get to 550+ with stage 2 and get from 0-100km/h in 3.4sec

Some of the ex-corporate Cupra's look like bargains online. You can basically get a Leon V for $41-$43K and a Leon VZ for $45-58K that's cheap as. As an Octavia RS Mk4 owner, I'd like to see a comparison between the Leon VZ and the Octavia RS. I presume that the VZ/VZx and RS would be closest aligned. I know they don't compete directly on size - unless they bring in the Sportwagon, but I'm curious about how VAG is positioning these cars. It seems all very calculated as I assume the Leon V is why the Skoda Octavia Limited Edition was discontinued and the Sportline was cancelled. I also think they won't bring a Leon V, VZ, or VZx Sportwagon because that will compete against the Octavia RS. But by the same measure the fact Skoda won't import any PHEVs allows Cupra to (potentially) bring in a VZe Leon Sportwagon. This isn't even factoring the Golf into the equation, but its line-up is a bit disappointing at present. With the lack of PHEV options or a wagon, I'd almost be keen to import a GTE or eTSI Golf R-Line Wagon from Japan. But that's a seperate matter. Long story short, my partners Focus ST-Line wagon will need replacing in 12-18 months, so I'd be keen if Cupra brings the Sportwagon even if it were just a base V.

Ran out of time to set an offical one. But by all accounts, it was nearly the same as the Leon VZx
