The idle of duramaxs sounds the best, love how they rumble but I think 6.0 and 6.7 sounds better while you’re on it

I've had a 12V a 24V and now recently got a 6.0 and the sound is definitely growing on me. The Cummins is loud from start to finish and the same sound throughout. The 6.0 is like a jet about to take off then gets real nasty in the upper RPM range.

Ive owned 2 3rd gen manuals. Recently sold one. Strongly looking into buying a 6.0 and bulletproofing it down the line. How would you say the 2 compare in drivability?

@@KeystoneOutdoorsman the 6.0 is expensive upfront to make reliable and strong, but worth in in the end. Make sure you get one that's been well maintained and low miles if you can with the paperwork to back it up. Go with the 05-07 trucks for the stronger HPOPs.

At idle the duramax sounds better but the power stroke sounds better in the rpms. But they both have a good whistle

I have had loud exhaust on every vehicle I ever owned, (my last truck was a monster lifted FBO 6.2L GMC) until I bought my 15 LML 3500 Denali DRW. Mabey I’m just getting old, but I’m really liking my quiet stock truck and the quiet stock exhaust (my wife calls it my old man truck, because its all stock) , and I don’t think I’ll ever change it. when my powertrain warranty is up I do plan to do a lift pump and tune, but I think I’m going to go with emissions intact tuning.

just look at how the exhaust tip warps 3:24 my dad has the regular gas 6.0 2006 chevy 2500hd and even the regular gas version sounds good, I think every internal part is bone stock and it sounds almost like a Duramax, but not as loud and no turbo

I have a stage 2 Danville turbo on my truck and I believe that sucker is louder than both of them, it's almost too loud. On tune 5 I put a 6.0 to shame today...at 1000 rpm it is defining. When elevated idle kicks in of a cold morning you can hear it from the other side of the house over the tv

The Chevy 6.6 Duramax has most powerful engine Chevy Silverado for 2500 HD and 3500 HD , and Ford powerstroke 6.0 is the best engine ever made from Ford F 250 and 350 it sounds like a turbocharged jet engine and a Ford mustang turning up the turbo, both engines have change diesel pickup trucks forever

@@Beast.unit0 i agree, Cummins Sound Like Shit. I Love my 6.0 Powerstroke, have the KC Stage 2, it Sounds Awesome with the 10 Blade Turbine Wheel, mine is a 2006 so original Turbo had the 13 Blade Turbine Wheel. That 10 Blade got a Awesome Sound to it.

The 6.6 Duramax sounds like a Ford F-250/F-350 power Stroke and Dodge Ram 2500 and Dodge Ram 3500 5.9 Cummins 24V it amazing how Chevy and Iszu created the best engine ever for Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra I love Cummins engine and Duramax sounds

Went back and looked for that Q&A. He keep it classy saying the agreement was for him to work there and shoot vids, but they changed the deal on him. He left it like that and didn't want to say anything bad about Perry Auto Sales. Only thing I would say is would of sucked if you quit his dealer job and then deal went sour. Anyways, you have a good channel and keep up the DIY vids. Like you said, no one really liked you pitching car sales.

Hey Truckmaster. I need your help. I have an 07 LMM. The trucks exhaust is deleted and I ran 4” straight pipe. I have a CTS2 edge with attitude tuner on it. Also egr is deleted with a new y bridge. Truck has been like this for a month with no problems. I did all the work myself. Last night code P2463 hit and put me in limp mode. That code is DPF soot accumulation. But I have no DPF. The edge won’t clear it. It comes right back when I clear the diagnostics. Hoping you might know something I don’t. Thanks for your help

You have to get the code Deleted using efi live that code will not go away until you do that
