Which Farmall Tractor will Pull the Brush Hog? Antique Farm tractor in operation on the farm. Very old farm tractor in operation on the farm. #farmallfanatic #farmall #antiquetractors
Hi talking about mowers we have a woods D/80 pull mower tag along got it from cousin 300 miles away put it in a utility trailer back home greased it up and checked gear box and aired the tires and hitched it up to are international utilty 460 gas with loader .the mower was used in fruit orchard work we use just it to keep our 7 acres grass 2to3 foot high cuts great .Cjd wash state .p.s. all it took was gas money and a visit. We love it 🤔 love all your video s
I had a super a with a three-point and it pulled a 4 ft bush hog with no problems I used to mow my whole lawn the bush all you got is a lot heavier than the one that I had might want to try it with the h
We used to pull a 4 foot tow behind with our 200. I’m sure it probably would’ve run a 5 foot decently but that’s what we had. Used the fast hitch to raise and lower it. As many rocks as there are on the pastures we used to mow, I’m leery of pulling a tow behind with a straight drawbar and no way to lift the mower up.
Glad that you can enjoy your red tractors and thanks for sharing it but sad news is here no more new red tractors since my latest great Magnum tractor i have been told cant be fixed .. so currently looking at other brands Versatile and Fendt for the big heavy lugging tillage jobs here... funny thing is the 40 year old 1086 had to pick up the slack where the new 2019 magnum dropped
make sure you get a slip clutch and put on the tractor your going to use with it would pay to put chain curtain on the front of you brush hog good video man
I like it, Mine is a bushog brand that is designed almost like that,I havent tried it yet, but it appears to be almost new,Got it at an estate auction.Hope it works as well as that one!
If you think that is heavy you should try putting a new holland 1411 discbine on a farmall C to move it around. I had to add air to the tires just so the rims didn't hit the ground.
With the weight of that hog I am sure the steering is lighter. It cuts really well. Over here, rear discharge cutters tend to have a row of short chains at the rear to stop the stones flying. Once you have hit it with the red paint it will be perfect
My dad had a 5' mower and he pulled it with a W-4. It would be a good load for the A. We currently have a 7' Woods and a 300 or M would be a minimum. What resolution do you set your cameras at?
Hello so I subscribed to your channel. When I was 8 years old a truck pulled into the yard. On it was a new John Deere 710. That impression not going to go away. In short time I put 3500 hours on it. I have a old international here diesel I'm going to restore not sure of the year. Well enjoyed your video. Thanks have a great day.
I thought you bought that Brush Hog, but wasn’t sure! Our Super H pulled an 6 foot with no problem! In fact it looked just like yours except it was an M & W! That’s solid iron you got there! Bit much for the A or even a C or Super C... H will be fine but I would invest in an overrunning clutch and some drop chains in the front, flip it on her side and take your grinder and sharpen it up! You’re good to go! To get rid of coons during sweet corn time we use to auger in several holes about a foot deep and put tuna fish in the bottom with a 110 coninear trap on top and boom! Usually right before it’s ready to pick!
Seeing that bush hog sitting on the ground it didn't look that big till I seen it sitting on the trailer. The H look like it was squatting down a little. Looks like it does a nice job cutting.👍
Can you move the axle forward to better offset the weight and McGuyver the crank handle position so it would work? Anyways another great video buddy. BOOM!
Super A through 140 do well with 4 foot bush hog....5 feet might be a bit much. Assuming the A has the same PTO output as the super A through 140, it may not handle 5 feet, especially in heavy brush. We have videos on our channel with a four footer behind our 140.
If I don’t know any better I’d say the H enjoyed that. That tractor has nice throttle response by the way. You gotta hog that corn field for us now, there’s no getting around it 👍🏼
Hi big fan of your channel I recently bought an h and can’t get it to run it has a m carburetor on it and I need to find an h carb any suggestions where to get it I can’t find one
It’s just a regular h I’m just having trouble finding the right one I confirmed with the old owner it’s the wrong carb someone swapped it at the auction I just can’t seem to find a new one for the h any help is appreciated
@@FarmallFanatic ok. I was thinking of wates in the front of the tractor and on the front weels. My grandfather's cub has weel wates on the front and back weels and it seems to help.
This could be a long reply. First off, you don't seem to be a guy I need to tell this to, but I'm going to anyway. About a year or so ago a young guy was bush hogging and some how fell off and got killed so safety first. I don't know all the details, it was about 10 or 15 miles away. That mower is a beast. What a bush hog. Looks like you better stock up on 2150. That H has a new toy to pull. Done a great job and now you'll keep more organic material in your soil. Should really help your plowing. Thst's a good place for your SMV sign, it's just not far enough back. I've got mine mounted on a bracket out of the way of the pto. I'll see if I've got a picture I can send you.
I noticed that sometimes you press your thumb against the steering wheel! Never do that! Keep your thumbs around (under) or over the wheel. Thumbs against the wheel can be badly injured if the tractor hits a hole or whatever and causes the steering wheel to jerk. I learned that in the early 1950s.
Oh I was taught to do the opposite... Never put your thumb under, because when you hit a hole and that wheel comes around.. that bar will break your thumb right off.
@@FarmallFanatic If your thumb is pressed against the steering wheel, only a little backlash can sprain your thumb. I never had an injury while gripping the wheel firmly.
that bush hog was made 3 pt and the tongue was added it is definately not factory. i remember one a dealer i worked for that the mower body came bare and they were eithr shipped as a 3pt with or withour a single crazy wheel or like this one
@@FarmallFanatic the mower is built as a tow behind the original tongue would have been bolted to the ears in the front of the deck and been a single stem and would have been shorter.. it was most likely the original tongue was built too light and bent and was replaced by this home built one. my uncle had one like this with a hand crank in the rear to raise and lower it.. the popular brands in my area were woods, bush hog servis rhino and brillion
Didn't Farmall have front weights for the M and the H? If you go with a hyd cylinder, go with a single action. Your throttle handle loose? Yes, stopping to watch the "H" do some work. :P Cheers :)
I think he's too chicken to try the A. on the bushhog. Our bushhog had the wheels on the side, but it would cut two rows of cotton stalks in second gear. I think the A will need a PTO adopter.
