Which GMT? (Tudor Black Bay vs Grand Seiko SBGE285) 

There's absolutely no competition here in my eyes, the GS is superior in every aspect and is fuckin beautiful to look at!

Went to the shop to try the SBGE285, could immediately understand why the price tag on it is so high. Tried on Tudor and Rolex and compared, would lean towards the Grand Seiko. If reselling is not in your books, the Grand Seiko is for you. It will 100% grow on you. the SBGE285 is basically a GMT Snowflake. Insane finishing and dial. With the Evolution 9 case, it makes the entire package more beefed up and special

GS hands down.. I'm a fan of Tudor but GS knocked it out of the park with this one

I've owned the gmt Tudor black dial and i thought it felt very top heavy on the wrist and a big slab of metal. I also thought it was a bit showy offy, a rolex wannabe! i prefer the gmt g seiko, much lighter, better fit. and that spring drive is very special. the quality is on another level. also its just different. the Tudor bubble has burst! that's why the g seiko is twice the price. ive ordered the black dial grand seiko.

Tried that grand seiko on recently and loved it.

I am admittedly biased toward the Grand Seiko - I own it, and it is an extremely comfortable watch to wear. If Seiko added an adjustable clasp, it would be perfect!

Choosing between excellent and wonderful is tricky st the best of times... at this level it be looking for a deal..i don't know how ready Tudor ADs are to consider an offer, but I'd never pay full price for a Grand Seiko.

Two words: Spring drive. ❤

These watches are really chunky. I wished GS went with white dial rather than grey. It looks like dirty snow.

Just to correct something that was pointed out, the SBGE285 bezel is made of titanium and not stainless steel as mentioned in the video

modern look seiko with modern spring drive or more retro look tudor with automatic - - both fabulous in their own right but my money goes on tudor for the better value

I like them both, but since I love "Pepsi" bezels, my vote would be the Tudor in this case. But I do feel the pull of that lovely Grand Seiko case (and see-through caseback) and that spring-drive movement.

Wow, that GS dial just draws me in, but Tudor gmt Bezel colours very nice, dial nice, but not as good as GS, depends if you're looking for a bargain??? Also, Tudor looks more sporty. Again, GS dial 😊. don't like the case though

Brent would love to see a comparison of the 2 thinnest case GMTs you offer.

GS. I don't vibe with Pepsi over white, better finishing, prefer the sticks. GS really needs to work on their bracelets IMO, microadjustments are a big deal for me.

Grand Seiko no contest

To me, the GS is dressier, Tudor more tool/edc. Tudor wins with the better bracelet/clasp and pricing.

So I can get two Tudors for the price of the Grand Seiko....hmmmm I'd have to see them both in person to decide if the price difference is worth it. There's a lot to like about both of these.

They look dissimilar and give off completely different vibes. A better comparison for the GS would be the Explorer 2. The Tudor reminds me of a Rolex GMT wanna be.

GS is on a totally different level from the mass produced Tudor. not a good comparison.

Never understood why GS couldn't just make the power reserve an arc which is radially aligned with the centre of the dial. It would make that ugly wart that mars its beautiful dials into a more harmonious element.

The GS would have won hands down if it had a rotating bezel !
