Sanemi really is one of the people who suffered the most in the series. First losing most of his brothers and sisters, then having to kill his own mother to protect his brother. Then he loses the woman he loved. Then he loses his last and only living family. Dude suffers in silence. But deep down he's a caring soul.

After learning his backstory and re-watching S1 where he's introduced --- You can see in his face how baffled, betrayed, and bitter he had to feel about his mother killing his siblings and trying to kill him when this random nobody demon refused to go after him despite stabbing her and then offering up his marechi blood. Thank the plot armor Gods that Uzui wasn't as judgmental as Sanemi when she went berserk, Sanemi or Obanai would have killed her right there before responding to Daki.

This is what i like in demon slayer, all hashira have their personality and relevant till the end. Not just introduce and become cheering leader or worst disappear. Even cannon fodder in demon slayer squad still play their part at the end.

Now this is what I like about both Demon Slayer amd My Hero Academia, most of their characters are two dimensional. Seriously, they are well written characters with their backstories and most importantly they have their strengths amd flaws. Nowadays, most movies and TV shows today, especially in the USA, always seems to go full woke and create characters that are very unlikable or unrelatable. And that's the problem, if you don't create a character that is not relatable or likable by the audience. Then why should they give a crap about the character, the show itself for that matter, if something horrific happens within the story.

And she deserves it. Not just because she's cute and all but because she puts her own life on the line everytime when others are in danger. Last but not the least after the last episode when she was ready to sacrificed herself for Tanjiro that part sets her completely apart from other oni. After that episode she deserves all the love from the demon slayer group and needs even more to be protected.

I enjoy crying watching anime, I watch it alone. Its the only time as a man that I can purge the emotions, pain, and burden that I carry around. I've been through a lot, lost a lot of friends and family, media can't help me relate and see a way out. Anime is the only solice I have ever found. When Krillin died the first time in DBZ my friend had just died a few days before. I was 11, and hadnt cried about my friend up until that point. Rest in peace Garrett, dying at 12 is too soon, it still hurts.

Sanemi is misunderstood he dose what he dose for a reason because after his siblings died (except genya) and after he was forced to kill his mother he was filled with rage and anger that he wasn’t able to accept his only brother and the thought of a demon being allowed in the core was not his idea of justice and causing him to lash out but all he wanted was somebody he could love like he did his siblings and after witnessing Genya’s death he realized that he treated Nezuko wrong and shouldn’t have been so violent to her he is just a man trying to find his way in life and seek remorse for his actions
