Priest main here, enjoyed the vid. Void weaver has gotten a lot of love and early oracle needed a ton of buffs but I’m looking forward to trying it now that it has some decent numbers. Especially as disc, penance spam and an extra 3 seconds on all atonements and a number of instant cast radiances - and constant 40% dmg on smite, holy nova and penance- that’s a lot of useful stuff. I could actually see it getting nerfed.
Really like the in-depth overview of the healers, makes me really happy to see shaman have some great versatility in how they can play. Cant wait to catch some streams of you showing off what shamans can do
I love Master of Harmony. The passive healing is so strong if you're using it on CD, if you hold TFT and store vitality up to a bigger amount and press it when big dmg is coming in, it empowers your heals so much, makes using TFT feel like a big healing CD. Aside from that, the visuals of Master of Harmony are soooooo visually stunning, themed and just cool. Your basically radiate with mystical mists from your body!

Great video, thanks! With Lightsmith, I’m not sure why they didn’t design the core ability to swap your action bar for a moment and let you pick which weapon you want to use. That wouldn’t add any additional button bloat but would make it feel less rotational. They could also have done so much more with the concept of forging our own weapons, both visually and gameplay-wise. Let us forge a big greatsword to swing and deal damage / heal in an arc in front of us. Let us forge a mace that allows us to jump to a target location and shield people when we land. It doesn’t really matter what the abilities are so long as they’re balanced - just design something that’s more than a buff that appears in the corner of the screen and gets applied on cooldown.
i also tested all of the healers in low (m+3-7) dungeons and heres my experience summarized in order of least to most fun / quality of gameplay: (rating in the end is NOT about how good they are, but only about how they feel to play in the situations you have to face in M+ in my opinion) - evoker: evoker is undeniably strong and the hero talents are alright, they dont change much in your playstyle but you feel their impact. however, with the dominance of augmentation, i think you will run into issues when looking for groups, as no one wants to play double evoker in high keys. i personally HATE the playstyle of heal evoker, but they are very strong so far and have an abundance of heavy group heals, can clense bleeds and deal heavy damage. that said, they lack (instant) single-target spells, which will probably play a huge role in TWW dungeons, as the frequency of hard tank-busters has been increased and in my playtime it felt like other teammates also got a lot of heavy hits very often, which i found to be problematic and tbh also a bit annoying to deal with as evoker. (4/10, heavily biased opinion though as i cant stand the way evokers play in general) - druid: druid has increasingly become more stressful to play over the years in my opinion and the new hero talents dont change that. you still have like 5 mandatory HoTs to track, insane button bloat and have to go into melee range into a different shapeshift form to deal any amount of significant damage while also keeping your efflorescence under your group at all times. while the class for sure is strong and will be good for M+ due to the utility and vers buff it brings, i feel like it lacks "oh shit"-buttons. you essentially only have tree form and swiftmend to top your mates up. if your hots run out during a stressful time, your group will wipe - you ALWAYS have to anticipate incoming damage and plan accordingly. for the hero talents, they dont really solve the issues the spec has, they just amplify its strengths. the feral+resto tree will probably be very good, however it just adds literally nothing other than a new passive HoT to the class. the treant spec is alright and makes the force of nature button a bit better to press and more impactful. however, i think the wildstalker spec will sadly be the go-to for M+, since it felt like it added more damage to your already pretty high cat-weaving dps and the additional HoT is just increasing your healing without having to worry about anything new. if you can play resto druid, it will be one of the strongest healers, as it always has been. If you have enjoyed it so far, you will also enjoy it in TWW, as basically nothing has changed. (6/10) - priest: cant really comment on disc priest, since i despise how it plays and thus i didnt really test it out a lot. the black hole hero talents do seem pretty fun though. for holy, i think the archon spec is fine and will be pretty good and i essentially agree with yumys take 100%. the oscillating halos look pretty damn cool and add a bit of HPS, thats about it though. where i heavily disagree though, is his opinion on the oracle spec. in my opinion, i found it tiresome to play and annoying to keep track of the buff to time it correctly when you need that specific buff that is active in the rotation at that specific time. while it might be strong, i dont think many people will enjoy the playstyle that comes with it, it just feels like more maintenance stuff on top of the already pretty loaded kit and amount of buttons holy has to press and keep track of. that is just my opinion though, so please take it with a grain of salt. all in all, again, if you enjoyed holy priest so far, you will probably enjoy it in TWW, as not much has changed, really. damage seemed alright, though as far as i noticed, might be on the lower end of healer-dps (might also just be a skill issue on my part though). even though their healing is very good and rather easy to pull off in general, im not really impressed with holy priests, tbh. just feels meh to play in my opinion. all that in combination with holy priest being notoriously terrible in M+ (other than that one shadowlands season), i dont have much hopes for holy and think disc will just straight up be better. also you have the least amount of mobility and dont bring brez or BL, which makes finding pugs a bit harder (6/10 for holy, no ranking for disc) - shaman: the crazy button bloat for resto shamans has been reduced a lot, however you still have so many buttons to keep track of, it gets a bit annoying at times (relocate totems, reduce the CD of the last totem used, tremor totem, poison cleanse totem, etc) the hero talents are very good and practically make you choose between 2 playstyles, as yumy also said in his video. the farseer talents put the focus on instant cast single target heals, whereas totemic puts more emphasis on healing rain and chain heal. for coordinated groups i can easily see totemic become the go-to spec, whereas for pugs, i dont think totemic will see much success, since much of your healing comes from healing rain and with these hero talents, it has a 30s cooldown, meaning you cant really relocate it that often. also, chain heal EATS up your mana, its insane. i think resto shaman seems easy on the surface, but is pretty difficult to pull off successfully in higher keys, since you dont have many mana-efficient spells (other than riptide and healing rain). especially in high tyrannical keys, where boss fights take a long time and are healing intensive, you may run into problems if you cant play resto shaman very well. the farseer hero talents kinda negate a bit of the negative aspects i mentioned, but its still essentially only a 30s CD instant healing wave you are getting, other than the passive ghosts that spawn. This makes triage healing a bit more accessible, but still makes group-wide healing insanely mana draining and difficult to pull off over a long fight. that said, you still have a lot of group-wide oh shit buttons, like healing stream totem, spirit link totem and ascendance. also, the damage you can deal if you can free-cast is pretty nuts, although it requires a ton of globals to pull off. (7/10) - paladin: i think holy paladin will be very good in TWW, the amount of holy shocks you can spam in a fight is insane and they essentially heal 50% of ones health every time. the hero talents are actually both pretty cool in my opinion, whereas the herald of light looks cooler and you can definitely feel the impact and the damage it adds when you press wings, i think lightsmith will be the stronger option in M+. i think its kind of like adding a bit of augevoker utility to holy paladins, the shield absorbs a large amount of damage and the sword adds a crapton of damage to your group. the uptime is also pretty good and you can for sure notice the difference the hero talents make in your output. holy paladin feels fun to play and have a lot of utility which makes them desirable for pug groups. i didnt notice any mana issues and never really felt unprepared for any situation, you have crapload of heavy healing instant spells, good cooldowns and essentially permanent group healing with double beacon as well as solid "passive" dps in the form of judgement, consceration, crusader strike and the lightsmith talents. (8/10) - monk: MW monks are hella fun to play (as always) and i think theyre pretty easy to play as well, contrary to popular belief. as soon as you get your head around using your attacks to heal, you mostly dont have to even watch the health of your group mates, since theyre constantly topped up if you have uptime on the boss. sheiluns gift, revival and cocoon are huge oh shit buttons and the new conduit of celestial hero talents add another one, the channeled spell is ultra fun to press, heals a shitload and does good damage. that said, the other hero talents are so boring and add nothing new to the playstyle, that i didnt put much time into testing them. however, it doesnt really matter since the celestial hero talents are just so good on top of the base specc just being insanely fun to play. also, button bloat has been reduced a ton. all in all, mana was never an issue, the dps is solid and practically entirely passive (since you HAVE to use your attacks to heal). It always feels like you have the "perfect" button to press in any situation with cocoon, sheiluns gift, revival, your celestial, the new channeled ability and instant the vivify in combination with zen pulse, you never feel like youre out of options to top up your group. i have to subtract one point though, because youre forced into melee range, which can sometimes cause problems and often its also difficult to keep track of all the swirlies and AoEs happening all the time, also you dont bring BL or a brez, meaning finding pugs can be "harder". (9/10)
Druid has several oh shit buttons if you talent them. Natures swiftness into a nourish basically does a full hp bar on a tank if they have hots on them already. The grove guardians at least used to drop a massive heal on creation. Tranquility if you take it is usually a very strong group heal although I have not tested that one. Double swiftmend, auto crits on regrowth spam. 20% stronger heals during ironbark, Cen ward used to be very strong idk about anymore. Flourish, genesis....idk I feel like druid is honestly stacked for HPS but it requires you to set up prior to things going bad. They require you to already have a plan and be running your fundamentals but....that's been resto druid since TBC. And yeah, these comments are all about how it plays, not about how well it performs.
Always loved holy priest, first expansion I’m not playing it in a few years. I don’t want to choose between “take halo” or “have another button to track in a bloated spec” waiting for oracle to be busted.

I felt the same, but honestly IDC about these ranking stuff. I like the healing over time, I was used to that gameplay and so I will still use my dudu as main for a bit. If it really is something I can't really use in M+ I guess I can try shammy
Honestly this is list is just about the hero talents and how fun they are. If you already like resto druid, you have nothing to worry about since hero talents are just an "icing on the cake" situation. If you dont like the spec and a hero talent is the crutch making it work, then you have a problem on your hands when its at the bottom of the list. Power cant really be represented yet since numbers tuning is still ongoing, we have a rough idea but wont know until final values are ready. It does appear that druid is in for a .0.5 or .1 patch rework though.

I always wanted to main priest for the next expac but then I saw several videos trashing priest so I wasn't really sure. You are actually the only one giving priest some praise so now I'm not sure whether to pick priest or shammy because shammy seems to get a nice rework for all of its specs.
Play what you want, unless youre going for mdi it literally doesnt matter. Pugs think it does but it doesnt bevause 99% of them wont even come close to the limits of their classes. Highest thing you can do is push for title, and with the right team you can do it on any class, so it literally doesnt matter at all. + if you end up not liking it you can always just gear up another char, im sure there will be enough time for multiple...
Priest has been buggy for a lot of the beta so its hard to test. I feel like it definitely isn't a top healer right now but the changes are interesting and I think its at least worth giving a try.
i think they may just be thinking of the first iteration of oracle, which was actually awful in replacing your PI with a rotating, very situational, sometimes maybe a tiny bit stronger than pi but in most cases just straight up weaker. current version of oracle seems really fun and i cant wait to play both it and archon on my holy priest
Lightsmith looks very fun to me. I’m not exactly sure why you think armaments are something that should just be used on CD. You will get a huge difference in performance if you use them at the right time instead of just spamming them, especially the sword. Pop that sucker on a dps when they activate their big burst and your damage contribution goes through the roof. Can’t wait to play it!
I'm loving that Hpal, Shammy, & Monk are coming out strong in TWW -- if only Druid were in that group it'd be all my favorites on top. Still, pretty damn good.

MW main here. I was a bit disappointed by the hero talents cause they're just boring. Like, I don't mean gameplay wise, thematics-wise. It's just more Monk-y things. I actually quite like Master of Harmony from a gameplay perspective. That damage boost to Chi Burst fucks so hard, and if you take the talent to give damage from vitality when using your damage skills that can absolutely shred at max Vitality. If you really like the fistweaver gameplay it's just so fun.

There's still the option to play Monk at range, some of the ranged healing talents were actually buffed compared to Dragonflight too. But Melee Mistweaver is a lot stronger in all content styles, but you can still perform well as a Ranged Mistweaver
I am personally really disappointed by archon on holy. When in m+ can you afford to use halo? It would be cool if they made it compatible with divine star :(
I would love to be Holy or Disc but most of time in M+ we only come out as Dogshit and have a hard time. And pugging with Disc while being at the lower end is just painfull :/
I do not understand how and why people like either of the Mistweaver hero trees. Master of Harmony is extremely flawed for Mistweaver by being tied to Thunder Focus Tea. You have to intentionally hold the cooldown of Tea (which granted is sort of feasible with the double charge introduced by the tree) to burst heal/damage based on that one random talent choice. The entire tree would have worked wonderfully if the effect was tied to Expel Harm instead or a new Tea created for the spec (which is fine since the other tree does introduce a new spell and MW has lost quite a few buttons with the pre patch). Conduit of the Celestial is not fun, I'm sorry it's just not. Yes the new cooldown is cool but I don't get why it's not a baseline spell. Mistweaver has abysmal CDs, the celestial summons are very strong almost too much so and warp the playstyle way too much when they are out to a point of not begin fun and Revival is cool and all but it's mostly used for the mass dispel effect, the healing is cute to artifically have high HPs in raid but it's not that impactful on long fights. So why Conduit is poo-poo? Well because the playstyle is extremely rigid. To be optimal you have to always play Sheilun's Gift (for no good reason whatsoever, it's such a bizarre choice they force you into that talent honestly), you have to take Refreshing jade Wind, you have to cast Enveloping Mist so often for the Niuzao's proc (which is strong, but that's almost more annoying because now you really have to cast Enveloping Mist all the time which burns your mana, overheals like crazy and completely break your pace by forcing you to cast in melee so regularly, an instant cast and free mana cost instead of -50% cast time would have been a lot better). I will try my best to make Master of Harmony to work because I really can't stand how much Conduit warps your talent choices and playstyle so much to a point of having a very robotic playstyle with little room to actually think (since you have so many buffs to keep uptime by default with the spec + now the procs that come over and over and you don't want to waste). I actually started trying to hold onto Thunder focus Tea on prepatch in keys to see if it could be ok to do so and it might work especially combined with the +15% stat boost from the bottom of the spec tree. You can have a nice haste, vers or mastery buff and pump a lot of healing or damage. I really hope however that Blizzard wakes up and fix monks trees because as far as I know Shado-Pan is really bad as well and Master of Harmony seems to be ok on Brew but just because of numbers (and because it's tied to Celestial Brew which is on a higher CD). Master of Harmony could be so easily salvaged. They also really need to change the fact that you cannot keep vitality after using the passive. The damage passive node should be baseline and shouldn't burn your entire vitality pool in roughly 2 GCD it's bananas and the healing alternative node is nice but it's such an overheal waste it's kinda ridiculous. Overall I feel the Master of Harmony proc should works like renewing mist (or even better, be tied to Renewing Mist altogether and adds its HPs to the Renewing Mist's value) to avoid insane overhealing. And the damage component could be shoved onto something like Crackling Jade Lightning which you basically never ever use and you could use it just to discharge your vitality offensively if you want to. I don' tknow, I feel like there's half a million easy ways to fix this hero tree but Blizzard spends a tenth of the budget on Monk's design that they spend on Mage's so Monk always get dogshit design. (For the record many Dragonflight Prepatch bugs are still existing on Mistweaver like how you can waste instant cast Enveloping Mist from Tea of Serenity when Chi-Ji's stacks are also high enough).
When I was deciding my main for TWW I was looking at all the hero talents, and it just felt like all the resto Druid talents are just straight +x% to various abilities. The wild stalker is so incredibly uninspiring it hurts my heart. I think three nodes are literally just passive buffs to already existing spells. And then the two capstone talents. And then like 2 other nodes that have anything interesting or cool going on. Very disappointed. :( at least Lightsmith attempts to give you interesting tools and interaction with your party. Even the Monk master of Harmony giving you an extra charge of TFT is insanely cool and interesting just bc that spell itself is very fluid and does cool stuff. The rest of master of Harmony is kinda the same as rdruid being bland and uninspiring, but at least it gives you cool tool for your kit. Even if it’s literally just an extra thing that you already had.
Delves, I’m a mole person that used to heal high keys but now have a 17month old baby girl so my gaming time can be interrupted and inconsistent- making m+ near impossible. Play something else? I can’t I’ve been playing this game since pre-alpha and sunk cost is too damn high
Resto Druid down so bad you can't even remember the names of the Talents. Druid forums constantly asking for them to add some sort of flavor so they feel different. Devs completely AFK doing who knows what.
I hope *Archon* gets reworked after season 1. It's such a flavor fail i can't see myself playing it. Luckily Oracle seem really interesting so i have that to look forward to at least when it comes to playing Holy
i agree that thematically the priest hero talents are cool and all , but oh boy do they suck in practice. As a disc main , discipline atm is the WORST beta healer in m+ BY FAR! holy is just a step ahead but still sucks. Priest needs a sort of rework or a huge buff to 5 man healing otherwise its dogshit tier
Aug nerfed into oblivion, so not worth playing evoker at this point. pres/dev both are trash for meta. Resto Druid and Shaman will be god mode in TWW. Beta has shown that.
