I;ve got the Zen Dac first release and am really happy with it. I didn't see the use in upgrading to the zen dac II, One thing that I value most is how the truebass fills in the bass on my grados, That makes all the difference in the world, I owned the littledot tube dac amp and really didn't see that much difference so I sold it off and I'm happy with the zen dac. Putting an extra eight hundred dollars back into my bank account was nice.

balanced for an iem wont make much difference. save your money, it will just give more power which you don't need for an iem. even apple dongle runs it well. if you want a different sound, just get another iem. Beware of the audiophile jargon.
First of all i am using a xiaomi k20 pro device & it has a 3.5mm jack.. now the questen is will my device support typ-c dac? if yes then my next question is which one would you recomend.. my requirements are ... price under 10k ... portable or desktop both will do .... atmost priority is sound quality (volume also) ... will drive planner iem like "S12 pro" and full size headphone like "DT990 pro" at its full potential .please let me know .. thanks Headphone Zone for such wonderful informative videos..

Sir, I am from India and Iwant to get a setup for home audio . With an external DAC supporting PCM, DSD, MQA. DAC to be connected to a stereo amplifier (which can be connected to DAC and also can be connected to TV, Setup box as well). The stereo amplifier is connected to passive speakers. I will use apple music on my mobile and laptop to connect to the DAC. My budget is $300. Please suggest and help.
