Happy with the TLCM's as they have been issue free since launch. The side to side movement has never effected me but then again I am not an all out 24/7 user, just weekends and some evenings on AMS 2 and Assetto Corsa Comp...Found they were much more readily available and at a good price which was enough for me and the setup was simple. I use both red springs and that seems to provide just the right force on the brake. Based on a lot of reviews I have no doubt the Fanatec's are great but stock can sometimes be an issue.

Same here. I got my LCM's in July '20 and had no issues since. While the pedals do have a bit of a wiggle as demonstrated in the video, I don't feel it as soon as my have my feet on them. Also, the solid baseplate made it easy to mount them to my Playseat Challenge.

@andreasotto1977
@andreasotto1977 2 года назад
@@FlyingHawkic errrm, Settings? You asked me about the pedals. However, I can answer to both. :-) LC Pedals (of any type) on a Playseat Challenge: They basically work, but you will have to strengthen the tray. Those red plastic thumbscrews are not strong enough to withstand the braking forces. I drilled holes in the tubes and fixed them with bolts. Also, the two nylon brackets holding the tray to the seat let go under a hard braking maneuver the other day. I contacted Playseat about the issue and they were so kind to send me a bag of additional brackets for free; three of them hold the tray without trouble since then. The belt of the Playseat can hold the pedals to the tray, but I found it uncomfortable under my heels. So I got some 3D printed brackets which originally are for the V3's, but can be used for the Thrustmaster pedals. My user name on RD is "ao1977", search my name there and you'll find my posts about my rig, including photos. About ACC: I started playing ACC on a Rift S and a GTX1080 with AWS forced @ 40 FPS and was happy with it. Then I got a 3070 and was even happier. Now I am running a Quest 2 with a 3080 on stable 72Hz with 145% pixel density and high settings and even got some headroom. Limiting the rendered FOV to 0.7 both horizontal and vertical in the Oculus Tray Tool is the key to loooooooots of performance headroom without sacrifices.

I bought my T-LCM in December 2020. I use them daily, to race and play American truck simulator, no issues besides having to unplug them and plug them back in after a reboot. It seems as though the problem was caused by Fast Startup on windows 10\11 and the USB ports going into sleep mode, which can be changed in the advanced power settings. In the 1 year I've owned them, I haven't heard any creaks whatsoever. The wobble you mentioned, you just don't notice it while driving and doesn't affect performance.

The CSL LC pedals were on pre-order for end of January (afaik they started putting them public during Black Friday), so I doubt anyone has them yet. I'm still waiting for mine. Availablity is the main thorn in the eye for Fanatec products currently. If anyone is reading this and considering buying Fanatec products - make one order with ONLY items that are ready to ship, and another order with pre-order stuff like the LC pedals. Or else your main order will be delayed until *all* items are in stock. For me, the 5nm CSL DD wheel base kept getting delayed (pushed back to JULY 2022) due to the CSL LC pedals not being in stock. I'm excited for the pedals (and wheel base), just peeved about Fanatec's horrible warehouse management. Anything (with a load cell) is an upgrade for the Logitech pedals I'm using :) I'm glad LC is becoming more mainstream for people who don't have an infinite budget.

It's a electronic shortage man not like its Fanatec's fault really. It does suck i no but what can we really do. If thrustmaster tlcm start selling like crazy they will have a shortage to its just inevitable for the next yr atleast.
@ikt32
@ikt32 2 года назад
@@Bobbarker23455 I'm not complaining about the situation at large, but how specifically Fanatec handles the situation. Specifically for situations where you have one or more components that are "pre-order" (the 5Nm wheel base and LC pedals) - if one is delayed, your entire order will be delayed to the furthest item date. So if you have ordered both, with the LC pedal kit date at January 31st and made the 5Nm order when it would ship January 22nd, if they run out of 5Nm CSL DD's before the LC kit arrives, the target date for the 5Nm wheel base will shift from January 22nd to June 1st. Apparently they're also expecting a shortage on those beyond that date, so it's delayed again till July 15th. Delaying your customers' entire order for 6 months instead of holding onto whatever is available and shipping out as soon as everything is available, is just crappy. Understandable from an inventory management view and "money in the pocket" guarantee, but extremely inconsiderate for customers. Especially considering the 5Nm and 8Nm base are the same product, and just ship with a different PSU (in a separate box). So they're moving inventory, but you're just shit out of luck if they receive 5Nm units and your order isn't complete so they deplete their 5Nm stock, causing your entire order to be delayed for half a year or so. In all this I had to continuously monitor the order page, as Fanatec does not send out information about these pre-order delays. At least, I got no communication and had to re-confirm with their customer support that indeed, I would need to wait for half a year. *That* is Fanatec's fault.

I am in need of replacing my g920 pedals as the potentiometers are dead. I really want the fanatec csl load cell pedals but they are currently on preorder for march 14th. I don't mind waiting but i wouldn't want it delayed anymore. I'm seeing and hearing very good things about the T-LCM pedals with a brake pedal mod. The T-LCMs are available instantly too which is pushing more towards them. I'm unsure what route to take in the future for my wheel base though. You can make the TLCM brake pedal to NOT move. There is a screw on the bottom of the base of the pedals. Tighten it to make the pedal tilt forward a bit and with that press against the springs and the loadcell on the front. This will stop the wobbly feeling. On the other hand, you may want to check the calibration afterward because it may result in the loadcell getting pressure and without a dead-zone, you'd be constantly breaking.

My biggest complaint with my T-LCM's so far is the throttle and clutch both feel to light. The clutch spring would probably be alright for throttle but I would like a much stiffer feeling clutch pedal. Preferably with a 2 stage spring, but I could settle for just a stiffer pedal. I can't compare the two, but as someone who upgraded to T-LCM from the G29 pedals. I love it! I think either way you go, you will not regret it over the Logitech pedals. My experience with the TLCM was very short-lived. It was next to impossible to use on carpet (I didn't have much of a choice), and the pedals are at too aggressive an angle to use both normally or with a pedal stand (which would basically be putting the pedals around 80-90 degrees rotated).

I'm using my T-LCM on carpet, and have gotten them to where they're nicely usable for me. They certainly aren't capable of being used on carpet alone as the pressure on the brake would cause it to rise up and move. Since I don't own a sim rig I took a 2mm thick piece of hardwood plywood I had leftover that is considerably wider and longer than the pedal base and attached them to it. I was going to screw it into the floor to keep it stable but found that the weight of it alone keeps it from rising up under braking and it keeps in place simply being up against the wall. I also found that the spacers they provide to adjust the pedal angles work for me. I was able to get them to a more favorable angle than the G29 pedals I had. They've been great for me! Having upgraded from G29 pedals, these were well worth the money in my experience

yeah, the angles are not ideal for my couch and having them flat on carpet. i had to use a variation of the big spacers and small spacers, and ignore the 'this way up' writing and risk damaging the threads by putting them upside down. these pedals are weird. great, but weird. i need to do what the other guy did with the plywood. or make a full rig, but i dont really have the space, so ill stick with what i have. its just a matter of finding some plywood and doing it. for now i just wedge a bit of wood under the raised middle section at the back which helps stop it tipping.

the tlcm are really ugly, and require proper mounting. they are not the upgraded thrustmaster equivalent to g29 pedals. they cannot be used on carpet. even adding velcro to stop them moving they still tip even with the lightest brake spring. so they require bolting to your rig. the only thing i dont like about the fanatec (from what i can see of them, i own tlcm, but never used fanatec) is the cheap plastic pedals. and then the optional upgraded pedal faces are completely flat, which i dont like. but i guess you could bolt any pedal faces to them really. i wish fanatec shipped to my country. i would have upgraded to the dd and a full fanatec setup if it wasnt for that. instead i had to go with thrustmaster. not that my old logitech g29 setup was that bad.

Yeah but customer service is shit from Fanatec. When the thrustmaster is dead you can just restore it to the store and they fix it for you or you get your money back. With fanatec it's gambling.
