Welcome! The other filter papers are the Japanese variant of Hario's unbleached filter papers. You should be able to find it on amazon or any decent cafe. Sometimes they only sell the bleached ones but I find that as long as it's the Japanese variants, it will be fine

I have actually. I'd say I still prefer the V60 as a whole, but my go-to these days is actually the aeropress due to the convenience

I had the Crystal eye for a while but recently got the V60 (both plastic) and I'm liking the acidity and brightness more in the V60, I think I just did one or two direct comparisons so far, but I thought the Crystal eye seemed like it toned down the brightness (and I already have the B75 for that!) I think I might also be getting more clarity in the V60, I like it! I was surprised they're so different because they appear to just have small differences. Also more water seems to be retained in the grooves of the Crystal Eye after rinsing!

That's a very good question actually. So far, I've only seen one place carry it where I'm from, with the bigger names being more popular. And that's actually a great idea. I'll look into that for my next coffee videos!

I this this comment misses the point of the comparison cause u literally left out every aspect of the comparison, while not understanding why different papers were used. However, as thanks for a free view, and a comment, I'll shed some light as to why different papers were used: 1) It wouldn't make sense to use papers that didnt come with the Timemore as the point is to test what comes in the box. It's pitted against the v60, using what's possibly one of the most commonly used papers because, well, it is one of the most commonly used papers. 2) We're not comparing the effectiveness of the papers/how they function in each brewer. If we were, using the same papers would make more sense. Keep in mind, the comparison of the coffees they brew are between what Timemore provides in the box, and what someone buying a Hario V60 would probably purchase with said brewer. If we comparing the effectiveness and differences in what the papers would produce, then it would make sense to brew 2 cups each with each brewer, using Hario's and Timemore's papers. So, hopefully this helps you understand how/why comparisons are done they way that they are. Still, thanks for stopping by

I think the general consensus is that plastic is actually the better material for Brewers like this although I hate the idea of mixing hot water with plastics! Ceramic and glass have better thermal stability due to higher mass. Once they're cold they're cold longer once hot they're hot longer. However it also acts as a heatsinks so the initial pre heating is very important with heavier ceramic or glass brewers. Plastic is a better insulator keeping the hot water hot. A thin double walled glass brewer might be ideal but then it's more fragile.
