Great video. Thank you for demonstrating these differences. I started out with Sculpey III for making Christmas ornaments, but I'm switching over to Premo as my colors run out using Sculpey III. Thanks again.

Thankyou for the link Steffy! Nice video! Premo is clearly the winner in this smack down! I am one of the teachers that say not to use SculpeyIII for jewelry, for the exact reasons you pointed out, so was very pleased to see you land on the same conclusion. I prefer not to use it for anything really but rather than throw out the blocks, I will mix it into Premo and at least make it less brittle. ❤❤❤

Thank you and of course! You were the first one I found when I started this journey. Unfortunately, I learned from you after I bought a lot of Sculpey III so as a beginner still learning, I'm hoping to help my other novice learners not make this huge purchase but will share how to use it with others clays such as premo in my next videos! 🥰

Did you bake the thicker pieces for the same amount of time as the thinner pieces? I have sculpey III and am trying to determine how I can still use it. Thanks!

Hi! I did. I think it's a good rule of thumb to bake polymer clay for an hour, no matter the brand. By placing something over your clay pieces like a small tin from a pie or piece of copy paper over it, you won't get direct heat on your clay (which can cause burn spots). As for Sculpey III, as I too have plenty of that so mix 1 part to 2 parts premo or any other clay that's a bit stronger. By gosh, I bought that clay so imma use it 🤪😆

For making faces which one is better

For faces, you actually need modeling clay. You could do it with Premo, but from those who are into figurines, I believe they like the modeling clay best.
