Jake Graham no role models is a classic rap song. Right when Uncle Phil died...the culture felt it and the way the beat just came in. Stop it just because you got a million lame ass acoustic heartless versions don’t make it a classic. Which it is a classic but No role models is aging better a lot better. I went back Heartless isss amazing damn..but I still think no role models is just as much a classic
These albums are so different, both classics but 808s inspired so much modern music. No artist makes albums like Kanye does, they’re like hip hop symphonies Lol
What I love about these videos is that you see the difference in their taste of the same genre. Terrell is more of a lyrical listener where Terrence is a more music and production listener
@@wewereonlyseven9325 if anyone actually thinks coles album is better then 808 tho that’s just plain wrong. You don’t even have to like Kanye as a person to know that
@@JoeMama-ly1kc music is all about taste and preference… I’ve honestly never listened to the album, and don’t plan too.. based off the songs they chose, both albums give you clearly different sounds and feels… one is more lyrical and one is more cinematic.. and I like lyrical🤷🏾♀️… has nothing to do with liking Kanye or not.. some of us just like a good lyrical album
@@wewereonlyseven9325 True! I honestly don't know if I could say 808's is better than 2014 and I'm a huge Kanye fan myself. I love 808's, it's heavily influential, but it's personally not even in my top 5 ye albums. But this album still doesn't take away his lyrical ability in many of his other albums like MBDTF, Graduation, College Dropout, etc
@@JoeMama-ly1kc cap music is subjective but any true rap or hip hop fan that is not biased and is a true fan and student of the genre will say 2014 over 808s bc of the fact that Cole is rapping and what he is doing is hiphop. Like he said in the video “you have to be in the mood for your whole album boi”😂bc it’s true no one is finna just put on 808s and I’m a big ye n Cole fan
I remember in high school the last verse of 03 adolescence was the most talked about thing for the month in my school. And it seemed like it literally changed the mentality of some people and I feel like it still is underrated
9:40 "You've exhaushed all your hits" with Welcome to Heatbreak, Love Lockdown, BAD NEWS, HEARTLESS, and AMAZING left to go is CRAZYYYYYY
Ok these albums are not comparable at AAAALLLLL. "Forest Hills Drive" is J. Cole's best body of work. "808's & Heartbreak" is Kanye's most balsy project. I don't know how old y'all are, but "808" was to me what "Take Care" was to you guys. So I can't compare those albums because one of them hits me right in the feels lol.
En vrai t’as raison mais on peut quand même les comparer parce que ces deux albums ont marqué un tournant dans la carrière de chacun et ils ont su se réinventer d’une manière.. C’était un truc de ouf
Rajat Saini you are completely insane. MBDTF is one of the best albums of all time and I'm not even a Kanye West Stan. Kanye creativity > Kendrick creativity facts
I really just sat here and watched this whole video and didn’t even realize it was 45 minutes long😂 gotta subscribe to y’all I was laughing thru the whole video
I love this series so much bc these guys so obviously come into these with strong opinions that aren't going to change anyway and after reciting a few lyrics and saying that the track is fire it quickly dissolves into them insulting eachothers looks
@@chrisjfox8715 well considering a lot of the ither videos are FIRST REACTIONS it makes sense to miss lines. This album on the other hand and others they revisit on their "which is better" series have been out for years so I am pretty sure he had multiple listens on whatever album he is touching on
25:43 No wonder I agree with Terrence the whole time. I'm a film major too, 808s is one of the most cinematic albums I've ever heard. It brings you into a Winter Depressionland. It's beautiful.
2014 is like a good basketball team with good players(03, intro,G.O.M.D...), some all star players(Jan 28, Fire Squad, Wet Dreamz...) and a great coach(J Cole). Just when you want something great, you get an all around super star(Apparently) and an scoring super star (No Role Modelz), which makes the team champion.
Get Rich or Die Tryin for the win I like Kanye A lot but Get Rich or Die Tryin is literally one of the best albums I ever heard but College Drop out was one of my favorite albums but Late Registration was my shit
Wow, the way you two were bickering back and forth reminded me of my younger brother and I bickering about our different tastes in anything, talking about who has better taste haha. This was so funny I didn’t even realize that it was 45 minutes long.
This is one of the toughest by far. I can’t choose which is better cause I love both so much, Kanye’s legendary production/influence and J cole’s breakout masterpiece. I’m troubled
I legit love this video so much because he has the same level of excitement and passion I have for Kanye West’s 808’s and heartbreak album, def one of the best albums, my favorite
Cole album has more replay value for me. Something I can see myself showing my kids. 808s has great songs but I have to skip around. Edit: after watching the whole video I take what I said about 808s back lol it’s great and brought back so many memories. Cole still wins imo.
Wayyyy too many funny moments here that made me comment twice!! Was not expecting @16:48 - 16:55 I’m holleringggg, “that’s an ABC” 😩😩😂😂
