I live in the UK and try to visit London a couple of times a year. London is not the UK and these guides are brilliant even for Brits. Informative, packed full of recommendations and tips to avoid getting ripped off. Love the honesty of this lady. Well done Jess. More please.
East London was the area for immigrants because the West End (nowadays central London) was for the wealthy and so industry had to be in the east, with the winds blowing the fumes and smells to the east, and therefore it was always a cheaper area in the past.
This channel was a god send. My wife and I are trying to plan our honeymoon for April to London (coming from Canada!) I'm about 2 hours deep into your videos and a few pages of notes so far lol.
Just returned from a week long visit in London. We found your videos extremely helpful. We stayed near Paddington Station and Hyde Park which proved to be a convenient and a safe area to stay. Breakfast at the Marcie Green was fabulous. I would encourage visitors to wear what they feel most comfortable in. We saw many wearing athletic wear and gym shoes wherever we went.
Good advice, and in a video under 5 minutes. I've got to take another trip, as it's been over a decade since I've been to London. I didn't even know whether I was in the South, West, or wherever. I just looked at a travel guide and subway map, and decided I needed to get to a particular station to see something. I just travel aimlessly. ;)
yeah london is absolutely massive so if you're going beyond the usual super touristy attractions (which I 100% recommend going beyond) it's much more spread out.
I recall when the London One Day Travel Card was about 3 pounds. Days out were affordably fun. The late 1980's to early 1990's was a great time to live in the city. London was expensive, but affordable. It's still a great city, but no longer good value unless you live in affordable housing and income is above average.
Love this Jess! I noticed Brixton and Pelham while searching for flats all around London. Do you have any videos specifically about green areas around London? (, big enough to park trail run/park exercise/take long dog walks). I'm sure your other viewers who are not into eats and shopping would also appreciate it.
Your videos were so helpful to me! ❤ I am currently writing a novel set in London but I’m from Philippines and I couldn’t go there 😢 Thanks for your videos that gives me a lot of info about London.
I back again watching your videos on RU-vid and I will be heading from New providence, Bahamas to UK in two weeks time can not wait to go UK for good 👍😊
I lived in East London while studying at uni at Queen Mary. After traveling all around London, I decided East London was my favorite! Maybe a little biased. East London felt the most underrated back then, but I agree that South London has taken that title now.
Hey, I have office in Dartford. I want to stay closer to Dartford but in a modern city with residential buildings and shops, restaurants. Can you suggest?
iI made my first visit to London a few months back and stayed near BrickLane, was awesome, I think you can navigate easy in and around. Planning a second trip and was thinking of a different area but i enjoyed where i was based so much.
How is the situation with Strikes ,viruses ??? Children’s virus ? We are going to London in the end of July . I am worried about it ! It my childhood’s dream . By the way , I watch all your videos. They are great!!!
Richmond is lovely but the rest of SW doesn't have much to do for tourists. I lived SW for many years and definitely prefer east as there's wayyyy more to do.
Love your videos, I’m heading to London from Paris via Euro train for first time, there only for 3 days..where is the best place to stay to stay and experience London?
About rooftop bars: is there any good places where a bunch of adults + one under 14 can have a drink? After concert it would be so nice but as I see in London under 18 or 21 its not possible. (Im from Budapest just to understand the question 🙃)
@@loveandlondon if you can you should still do it! With the eras tour coming up all her fans who will be going into London for the concert would appreciate it 😊
HAMPSTEAD !!! It was in our itineraries originally ,we were going to a Hungarian Cafe there ,then walk around the houses & pubs ,then King Cross for dinner ,then Camden ...,but mom got mobility issues now, so not sure !! We'll be in King Cross & Camden still ,though ! 💜🥁🐉🎤💞
Nice! You should grab The Casual Tourist Guide to North London for more options: shop.loveandlondon.com/products/the-casual-tourist-guide-to-north-london Enjoy!
This is a brief but to the point video regarding each area of London. I have lived in all parts of London including Central London very briefly and agree with what you said. I did enjoy East London the most though
We have a great video on where to stay in London here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cg0bkvXArGQ.html This might help finalise your decision ❤️
