Last year i applied for the discover and chase. i got denied by chase but accepted by discover and after discover graduated my card, i applied for the chase freedom unlimited and got accepted.

I’m in this exact situation, I honestly don’t know if I’ll get denied by Chase since I just got the Discover It three months ago. Do you think I should wait for the Discover It to graduate before applying for the Freedom Unlimited? It would be really unfortunate for the non public offer to expire before the Discover card graduates, that’s why I’m trying to get it now.

Biggest problem with Discover is the lack of merchants that accept it. You know the Chase Visa is accepted everywhere.

John Liang: I used your advice to get the full Chase suite (Flex, Sapphire Preferred, Unlimited, Amazon Prime, Ink Cash). To address the 5/24 rule, I am now at the anniversary of the Flex. The promotion expired and I want to cancel it so I can apply for a new one (and new promotion) in 13 months. Is this a good idea?

So I got the CSR a few years ago and I love it because I travel a bunch for work. However, I seen one of your videos about Chase trifecta. However, I got a AMX cash card a few months ago probably not the best option. Specially, for the “trifecta”. Close that card and get the freedom unlimited or keep both??

I was pre selected for this card ( chase freedom ) should I get it? I currently only use boa cash back card that I’ve had for 3 years ( since I turned 18 ) and I have about a 755 credit score. Should I get the freedom unlimited or try applying for another type of chase card since I see that’s really the next step.

Not really about the credit card itself but I have a question about using a credit card if my statement close date is the 6th and my bill due date is the 3rd is it better to pay my credit card in full on the due date? Or just pay the statement and then pay in full after the closing date?

Three words...foreign-transaction-fees😮 the Chase card markets itself as an entry card but despite the 0$ annual fee its does in fact charge foreign transaction fees. 👎🏾

My husband is from Nicaragua, we moved here 2 years ago. He has had the discover it for almost a year and now has his name on both of our car leases. He applied for the unlimited last December and got rejected. Any tips? I think this would be a great card to ad to his wallet!!!

He might have been rejected based on credit score or that 2 years of discover credit isn’t long enough for chase. Getting a chase bank account checking or saving would establish a relationship. Also, I personally prefer cheese flex for 5% but it rotates so it’s annoying compared to unlimited.

Sometimes you can call the reconsider line. He can try giving them a good reason. If it does not work. Then he can try to open a bank account to establish a relationship, keep the account in gopd standing with a good enough amount of money in it. Then try it again later. Maybe get another card with a different bank lile capital one

@@weltraumbummler2780 Definitely get a Chase bank account (saving or checking). When they see how much money is in there and that the income is stable, they may just preapprove a credit card. If not, look into getting a secure credit card with Chase where your limit is how much collateral in the checking or saving account. To avoid the checking and saving monthly service fee, just have a minimum balance or direct deposit above an amount made to the account. Student accounts don't have the service fee requirements so it's great.

I think there’s a special link to get the non public extra sign up bonuses with the $20,000 cap. He’s talked about it before. The last minute of the video he mentions how to get that non public offer

I honestly don't think the private offer is better for the average person. You get an extra 1.5 on or first $20K spent. So you'd actually need to spend $20K in 12 months to the get the full $300 cash back. That's quite a bit of money to spend in 12 months on normal purchases. On the other hand, you just need to spend $500 to get a $200 on the public offer. It's a goal that is very easy to hit. Sure you're missing out on an extra $100, but you also don't need to swipe your card for everything to meet the public offer requirements. If you know you'll be spending at least $20K in purchases in the next 12 months though, the private offer is far superior.
