I"ll have the X, would upgrade suspension after paisa comes, also the tyres. 50-60k would help for riding jacket for both me and pillion as well. I dont fancy corners at high speed. Never trust gravels and potholes in corners and upcoming traffic, so keeping the right hand sane is the only option for me
With the X variant in the market, KTM should add the adjustable suspensions in the standard variant as well. Just like in international market, only diff will be spoke wheels and alloys.
There should be only two variant X & standard. Rest everything should be available as Official accessory or power part. Ideal choice for me would be X variant with upgraded suspension setup & Spoked wheels. Tbh Electronics feels more like hindrance instead of aid in 390vadv.
I dont understand why almost everyone is sad it has MRF tyres. even if you have metzler, it will last you only around 15k right? after that who is going to spend 30k to put the metzler again? even if you are putting the metzler you can do the same to x as well right?
KTM should had the option of choosing alloys wheels against spokes wheels in SW variant. That would be more attractive for wide range of buyers. I would prefer the adjustable suspension but not the spoke wheels cozs I know how much trouble you will get in case of puncture.
Was interested in buying 390adv but was confused with all those variants. Thanks to your video, no more confusion! Now I know that none of these variants are perfect yet so not going for it anymore! 😊✌️
Don't know why there is so much hate about the quick shifter, I use it on my adv 390 on a regular basis and I just love it. but yes you do need to give it some time and play with it to understand which RPM range the shifter works the smoothest.
Quickshifters usually are meant to work good in almost the entire rev range but they should def work at higher revs, which this KTM one doesn't. It is a mechanical gear shift aid more than anything else. Hence our disappointment with it.
The X variant with the adjustable suspension will be a superior choice, although u don't get it in stock condition, but practically it should be the best bike
I wanted all the electronics along with the adjustable suspensions but not the spoke wheels. Now I'm really confused. My mind is telling me to consider the X variant but don't want to miss on the electronics either.
Looking for an ADV and it’s in my shortlist. Will use it mainly for commuting and highway touring. Few things concern me- I’m not someone who rides aggressively fast. Just want the torque on lower RPM. Also suspension should soak in all bumps. And the seat should be comfortable for longer rides. Don’t know if KTM 390 ADV will fit into it. I don’t mind getting the SW and swapping the tires.
If you're tall like me, then that automatically rules out a lot of bikes in the same segment like the dominar 400 and gs310. The seating position on the adv is just unmatched.
@@TomalBhattacharjee i don't own any bike yet, but I've driven about 700km on a variety of different bikes. The most being on a Himalayan and then a dominar 400. I personally don't like the looks of the Himalayan, it feels ancient and the analog+digital combo just doesn't do it for me - neither does the circular headlamp. But you could consider the upcoming 450 if you're not finicky like me. I loved the look and feel of the adv so I'll buy either the X or std for sure - just tryna watch videos like these to figure out which one to zero in on :D
On the contrary, I've had very good experience with the electronics, especially the QuickShifter+ Once you spend enough time with your ride, you will start appreciating how confidence inspiring they are.
For longer rides like 2000km round trip for every 6 months, whether 390 adventure standard or adventure x is suggested? Rides include straight + mud roads + riding in rain + offroad route like in manali to leh ?
I dont understand why they didnt give adjustable suspension with alloy standard one. 7:55 or you can just swap out the suspension, im very sure they can be retrofitted in the std version.
I thought the traction control stayed off from 22 onwards? If that's what you wanted. Very confusing some say they fixed it and your saying it comes back on everytime it stalls? Could someone give some more feedback on this please.
hi can I get SW variant after that can I swap alloy for that like adjustable fork with alloy ? its make expense but just asking. its possible I love the orange color
Yeah, very useful review....I m not a big fan of electronics as u said its a hindrance than enabler!! I would go with X or SW with Alloy!!😂 They should have given adjustable suspension n spoked wheels as accessories which would have attracted many!!! Many would keep a spare at home , change n ride as per mood....than having two bike😅❤ However, I ❤ KTM adv, may shift from Dominar....!! Just waiting for Himalayan 411 n Bajaj-Truimph bike . 🎉❤
Buddy the alloy wheels is not a straight swap on the SW Vern. One has 6 bolts and other has 5 going through the discs. There’s an entire clutch of parts you’ll have to change to achieve the swap. Then the warranty will be questionable too because KTM is not formally approving of this change.
@@zigwheels A bit more than that but its academic given warranty issues. I had done some pricing of all smaller parts and it had come around to approx 26k for the swap. Heard rumblings that they’ll release a separate rally kit in the very near future which will work with existing Alloy wheel KTM. Kit will likely comprise a longer travel (fully adjustable) suspension, perhaps handlebar risers, a longer side stand for the revised suspension etc. This should be a KTM-blessed, bolt on kit for existing alloy wheel bikes. Waiting for this to come through, fingers crossed. Will definitely make sense if alloy wheels are super important to anyone. Won’t be cheap though, but worth it regardless IMO if they can deliver the above.
Put the adj suspension and spoked wheels on the X model That’s what a true off-roader need rather than electronics Company know how to sell all there variants 😂
Traction control automatic on when it is off...... this issue is fixed in software updates long back, there is lot of critisism going on this, please zig wheels update yourself, we expect lot from you.
Standard varient me sw Wale adjustable front or rear suspension lagwa sakte h kya ? Or inki cost kitni rahegi ? Because I don't like SW varient colour and Spoke wheel for puncture problem..
Do we have option to add adjustable suspension on other variants ?? If yes The X with adding adjustable suspension is great . Would learn with MRF and when worn out will slam on Metzelars .
@@zigwheels thanks for the reply. Another option is to buy normal variant and fit adjustable suspension. Is that possible? I really need adjustable suspension and alloy wheels
4.L to 4.5L on road price across india for standard and rally this is such a humongous pice for a single cylinder motorcycle 😱 that to made and make in india. Imagine if 390 adventure come CBU rout 🤔
The adv 390 sw is nowhere near being a rally bike and KTM knows it well. They could have called it that in order to fool the customers into thinking its a rally bike and selling higher numbers but why would KTM fake it when theyve already got the real deal. Moreover it wouldn't be fair for the real rally bikes from KTM. A rally bike needs to have at least 18" snd 21" wheels, 200mm + suspension travel and 200mm+ ground clearance to be able to actually do any kind of rally
Listening to a gross about ride traits who’s mostly keeping a laptop to hide a belly meanwhile derating some crucial specifications just to gather some views & outreach partnerships with some average sponsors, is the reason for extensive product refusal among the masses!
I'd go for the standard cuz I ain't short like many peasants who have problem with the seat height and alloys have the utility in case of a puncture but yeah lack of adjustable suspension on standard hurts I think then what jehan said will be the best option, buy sw and sometime later swap the spoke wheels with alloys
bought the normal one, footpeg vibrates like a s*x toy! Turning radius can be improved too, very small! otherwise its a lovely bike. Glad with my purchase
@@ColdSummer98 once the alloy gets heavy impact you’re done. Will cost a new alloy cause it is broken. Plus the ride comfort is better in sw. can’t ride the X even 200 kms a day. Very hafty.
