Your right.i wouldn't consider 20 in tires in Pennsylvania due to the poor roads especially in the spring not to mention the replacement price of 300.00 each.
The perfect trim for me would be a CX-50 select but with the turbo engine and 18 inch wheels from the Meridian. No nonsense, no "luxury" fluff that I don't need like a sunroof or power liftgate. It would also be nice if Mazda did a Carbon Turbo trim that is exactly what I just described but with red/black cloth/leatherette combination seats.
Any word on when the hybrid CX-50 is finally coming out? Also considering that the CX-50 uses the same platform as the CX-30 and is made in the same factory as the Corolla Cross Hybrid, do you think Mazda would make a CX-30 hybrid using the hybrid setup from the Coroll Cross in the same factory in Alabama?
I currently lease a 2023 CX-50 Preferred Plus (not offered for 2024). While I like it, for its replacement at the end of November 2025 (lease ends) I am considering the 2026 CX-50 Select. I don't need the driver's power seat (I'm the only person who drives it), power lift gate (my 2016 Mazda3 hatchback, 2018 CX-5 Touring, and 2020 CX-5 Touring didn't have a power lift gate, and I prefer having the simpler system one left motor and electronics to worry about), and 99% of the time the panoramic moonroof is closed. I also don't need the heated seats, mirrors, or windshield as I lift in southern Florida. The big question for me regarding my next CX-50 is whether to continue to lease, or just outright purchase it. Mazda reliability has been excellent with all of my Mazda's, but by buying I don't have to worry about excess mileage, plus once its paid for I may just keep it until it dies. Considering how many older Mazda's you see on the road buying may be the smarter option.
I got the select, is there any modification you can do with the wiper fluid when it sprays? its built into the wiper blades but the liquid never gets all the windscreen. I park under a tree that insects maybe aphids drop a lot of sticky stuff on the car and the wiper fluid doesnt get the bottom half of the window so it just smears the sticky stuff at the bottom,
