One minus in their pricing is, they have a base and it costs around 14.5 and that next model in at 16.5, and a reverse camera starts from the 16.5. When they gave everything thing in that 14.5 they should give that reverse camera atleast as a accessory

@@TamilTigers001 yes cost cutting, I would say no brand has all plus alone, if the 1.0 tsi and the mechanicals are reliable compared to a Hyundai, I will take it anyday

True. As we have Rapid TDI 1.5 and Kushaq 1.0 TSI, I could imagine the combination of Rapid with 1.0 TSI. You are really lucky to have it!

Did you try the verna, dct sir? Whats your take on it?

I test drove, Verna DCT, Creta 1.5 CVT, Seltos Facelift 23 1.5 DCT, Elevate, Verna and Kushaq...Verna I liked, but not as much as I like Slavia/Kushaq for its 1.5 TSI smooth Engine/DSG combo, none of the other vehicles gave me the feel that I got from Slavia/Kushaq(deciding between these 2 was difficult!!!). Verna (SXO) DCT is the one I liked for its interior, ADAS, and is a feature-rich car, but I hear that the lower variants don't have the quality of its top trim(not sure). This was offered to me for Rs. 20.40 Lakhs on the road in December with a straight discount of 2Lakhs but still, I didn't change my mind for Slavia which cost 3 Lakhs+ more and fewer features...A person like me enjoys driving, after driving the 1.5TSI + DSG combo, I didn't want to miss the fun-to-drive factor of the German cars after owning the Honda Jazz (still with me and I like it for its reliability) for 8+ years and I didn't feel like going for anything within my budget. Both cars are very good highway cars, if you need the best in handling/comfort/smoothness/power/EVO ACT Tech/safety go for VW/Skoda, Features/Interior/killer looks/ a good package of Safety/handling/power/ADAS go for Verna, at the end of the day, it is your choice and the sacrifices that you make.

If there was 1.5 ltr diesel variant that could have made a lot of difference considering none of the car in this segment have it.

@@appleofgodseye8509 because for the oems, the number they sell in the mid size sedan segment, there are less takers for diesel

But Verna vs Slavia / virtus, I expected Verna to do what the virtus or the Salvia did in the handling segment, but yes they have improved a lot, but they have taken over what city used to be, a neutral type, now people are ready to buy VW Group cars inspite of the precieved reliability issues. And the word handling has travelled well and their sales have improved. And not many like the current face of verna😂😂😂

@@MaxyModz it's not about the interiors bro, the interiors are top notch, having driven the Verna extensively I would say it's more to do with the handling, what I felt is Verna is too comfort focused, the suspension was soft and the steering as hyundai tradition was so free, easy to drive in the cities, yes at high speeds it weighs up well, but like the Germans it does not gives you the throw it around the corner feel. It was too vague even though it has the most powerful engine in the segment, where as the vw twins are still about the sharp cuts and creases. So since sedan are bought for handling, maybe driver enthus are going for the sedans, than a so called suvs.

@@sanjeev6921 better than the dct in Verna, yes Verna has more power in the form of 160hp, but I felt the dsg was little more spot on while shifting and acceleration, Plus the Slavia, virtus was more fun to drive than the Verna. As for reliability the earlier dsg was a hit or miss, now VW says they have changed the oil grade and worked upon the general life of the gearbox, still I would suggest you to take a extended warranty and do regular maintenance. General thumb rule is, put the grear in neutral in heavy traffic or signals, accelerate as smooth as possible. To less confuse the clutch, thereby less heat 🔥 In hills try to use paddle shifters.

@@sanjeev6921 plus your have get the cyclinder deactivation tech in the 1.5 tsi for better mileage, engine wise both are equally good, in the end it's the experience that will decide and VW is superb compared to the dct of verna

If ur not going to drive that fast it's better to go with non turbos from Honda or hyundai

Is there any way to add a reverse camera to the base varient? That's what keeping me away, yes I can add it in after market but I dont want to void warranty.

@@Raveendhana you can add some changes to the variant by speaking to your local skoda dealers. Some dealers do really help you
