Braves guy and I’m being objective. On paper, it’s: ATL, TX, LAD, HOU, Baltimore. Philadelphia, NYY, and Toronto are all tied to me. LA has a killer first three but TX has more difficulty throughout.

Usually these things can be up for debate. Not this time though. Only one team spent last season barrelling through their opponents all season, seemingly breaking offensive records at will and it's the Braves. It's just insane the numbers they put up while tying* the home run record and becoming the first team to ever slug over .500 for a season (yes even the '27 Yankees never did that. I put the asterisk next to tying because let's get real...They didn't tie the record they obliterated it. We're it not for the outlier 2019 season with the juiced ball they would have had like 40 more than any other team in history. 4 teams broke the previous record that year. The 2023 Braves did it in a normal year. 1-9 they are stacked. Michael Harris (a nearly .300 hitter good for 20 bombs and 20 steals bats 9th for them! What is with that defensive projection for Austin Riley? The guy has gotten better and better defensively and so much so he was a finalist for the Gold Glove. -4.6 are you kidding me? That is near Max Muncy territory. I think someone was sleeping on the job because that is as ridiculous as ESPN ranking him #29 overall in their top 100. Leads all third baseman in damn near every offensive stat there is and played gold glove defense. Yeah why not #29, very stupid. Yes this is even after the Dodgers added Ohtani. He's obviously elite and so are Freeman and Betts and Smith is a good hitting catcher but after that they really fall off. What's crazy is the Braves set the HR record and they had the top home run guy last season Matt Olson with 54 yet even if you took his away they still led the league!
