A hot tip, always charge the car at home, 11 kwh, so the batteries don't get so hot and it lasts perfectly, my model Y LR is 2.5 years old and has only lost 10 km when always loaded 100%. Never charged it at a charging station.👍😀👍 By the way, you do a good job on your channel, maybe a little too much of your own ideas and opinions, but you are also young and then you always know best. Continue like that!👍👍👍

Trailer hitch can be added later. Tesla ranger can install it on your own yard. Price is same. You can also buy aftermarket one.

Trailer hitch have to be installed in Tesla service, cost +100€ more. If you buy aftermarket you will lose warranty says Tesla

That is a good point. Was not the case with early Model 3s which is why I mentioned this.

Thank you very much for the information you provide it, very interesting. You were speaking as if all of Europe is the same. Unfortunately we here in Ireland have right hand drive vehicles which is an unfortunate legacy we ended up with as a result of British rule many years ago. All that said we receive our Tesla vehicles vehicles now from the Tesla China factory. It would appear we are not getting the battery options you mentioned. Anyway love your content keep it coming. If this version were available in the United States, I would totally buy it. I'm worried about the juniper not qualifying for the $7,500.00 rebate, like the highland.

I wonder if the longevity advantages of the LFP chemistry is that much better if you charge the NMC batteries to 80% and goes through 20% less charging cycles over the same driving distance?

My wild guess is that it still will be better. The chemical stability of LFP is what keeps it from degrading, and many of the properties applies even when charged to 100%. The NCA batteries actually have a degrading component at 80% as well, preferably, they would like to rest at 30-40%.

The Uk is now receiving gigaberlin cars. I’ve just ordered a cherry red model y SR+ 👌🏻 Tesla UK confirmed that they are recieving a mix of Berlin and Shanghai cars. Berlin cars are due June/july. I ordered cherry red to give myself the option of the BYD Blade battery

Unless you are in Germany burning kilometers on the Autobahn every day, I don't see any reason to buy the NMC battery in the Long Range compared to LFP battery. My BYD LFP pack kicks ass on the superchargers.

how about longevity of the BVD batteries? did you noticed any degradation due to flat charging curve?

Its quite the opposite actually. Degradation rate on LFP goes way slower than on NMC. You have around 1k-1.5k more charging cycles until you hit the same degradation rate as in NMC batteries

The question i have is why there is a difference between the standard rwd (byd battery) and the long range rwd in 0-100 km speed, 6.9 vs 5.9, is it because the battery can handle more power output to the motor or is it a different motor they use. it's a bit strange

Lfp has lower energy density than nmc batteries, therefore the max energy output is higher in RWD LR

Why the 1 second difference in acceleration? The larger battery are also a bit heavier. It can not be only the output of the battery wich make de difference. I bet it has a new motor.

It’s not heavier, the LR is the same weight. The LFP battery is heavier per kWh. It can definitely be a new motor in addition.

LFP chem, like the BYD blade, has a tendency to be able to take more cycles with less degrading. We do not know how long it will last, but there are examples of other LFP batteries lasting for 10+ year with little degradation. They are pretty solid.

Juniper won’t have stalks which makes the car impossible to use in Europe due to roundabouts

@@draspek6254 You need to signal out of roundabouts, and doing that while also not hitting someone and not hitting a curb, while trying to find the button, is not nice. The current Model Y is the superior model.

@@moocorp4574 I agree, when I try M3 Highland, it was quite challenging to drive in Europe on roundabouts. Signals were hard to find during moving out, but maybe it's possible to make some kind of muscle memory on that....

@@moocorp4574 Believe me, after a couple of days the problem is no longer there, it is usually those who do not have the new Tesla 3 who have the biggest problem with the blinkers and youtube testers who drive the car for a few hours.👍😃👍

In fact, if the battery holds around 25 degrees after charging 100 % an NMC battery has the same degradation as an LFP battery. It almost never gets warmer than that in the Nordics.👍👍👍 If the temperature is 40-50 degrees on the battery, then an NMC goes down in performance faster.👎👎👎 You don't become an expert on Tesla just because you bought one, remember that.😬😬😬

Ambient temperature is not the same as battery temperature. The battery gets warmer than that. From my measurements, the battery is peaking at 60C when charging, and around 40-50C at 100%.

@@RoamingNorway Completely wrong, a battery on electric cars lasts between 25-50 C, when charging, depending on how hot you live, exceptions are really hot countries, but I was talking about the north, which I also wrote.🙄🙄🙄
