Why is it so easy to enter the Basketball Hall of Fame? Guys like T-Mac and so many others that haven't even gone to the finals etc. Then guys like Toni Kukoc, who are multiple EURO Champions and NBA Champions with the Bulls took so long to join the HoF...
My thing is ppl act as if KD was complete trash before GS. He literally led to the 2012 finals but just ran into the prime Heatles. He even tried to lead that dysfunctional Nets team and only lost to the CHAMPIONSHIP Bucks because his toenail was on the line. AFTER HIS achilles injury. Is he perfect? Of course not but at least give context
Kd needs another ring. At this point you forget he’s won a championship. No one respected those championships and now it’s even more obvious he wouldn’t have won without them. And the warriors won without him.
@@kevinmoten6566 Yes, that team was cheating and shouldve been vetoed. Cant ruin CPs career by vetoing him from playing with Kobe then turn around and let KD join the Warriors, garbage decision from a garbage league. If you respect those rings you dont like sports.
Luka. Beating the Clippers, basically his archrival, then beating most likely SGA, a fellow MVP candidate, then beating Denver, this year's MVP and beating most likely the Celtics and Tatum, another player the media often puts ahead of Luka. It would be an all-time Playoffs run.
These questions are always stupid any player who went to championship with benefit off of it. Y’all always say the same people when in actuality every player would benefit from winning a championship no matter how many times they won it in the past with the team that they’re on.
Every Finals KD been in has Been him Vs Bron.. They were guarding each other and giving people what we wanted to see the #1 guy Vs #2.. Appreciate that
Lebron shoots 36% outside the paint for his career and 73% from the line. These are worse career percentages than Russell Westbroooks. The man simply can't shoot.
Seems like there's alot of HOF players nowadays. Like every team star player is a HOF even if they haven't accomplished anything. I don't like Allstar votes because it's more of a popularity contest than who really deserves it
@@baldeagle4710 kinda the point but it’s funny, bet you don’t have that opinion of embiid booker Randle kat and all these other guys that didn’t go as far As Tatum.
I'd think that KD or Damian Lillard would benefit most. But the Suns and the Bucks both look like they will get bounced at some point in the first couple rounds.
Clearly Luka Is under the Greatest Pressure to win a Ring . He has been deemed the MVP whether he wins it , or not . He has been compared to Larry Bird and Dirk Nowitzky. Joel Embiid is the Defending MVP . So he has ALOT of Pressure as well . Kevin Durant has ALOT of Pressure to shake his Golden State Demons and Lead a Team to a Ring. KD was a Number 2 on that team , so he won't win a Ring as a Leader / Best Player of a Championship Winning team anyway.
@@baldeagle4710 Luka has ALOT of pressure regardless . He has been out on a Pedestal since his Debut In the NBA as the next Dave of the NBA . Doesn't matter what Playoff Seed Dallas is . He is expected to be Larry Bird and win Rings . This Season is the only Season he has contended for MVPs and Scoring Titles so far .
@@kefkapalazzo1 that again would just prove how low the standard has gotten to be considered a superstar. Nobody should be seen as a superstar, unless or until they prove to be the best player on the championship WINNING team. Only guys playing in the league that have proven that THUS FAR are Giannis, Joker, LeBron, Steph, KD and Kawai. The rest of these guys we talk about are stars, not superstars.
I watched him play for the first time recently. He def has superstar written all over him but he needs to lay the pieces together first - MVP, multiple first team NBA, rings He has a long way to go
@@oceaser6977 I would love to see him play in person. But to the question, if Antman and the T wolves make it to the finals and he balls out, say Kawaii 2014 and gets finals MVP? Yeah, he's a superstar and max. Won't have to wait to be all NBA or anything else
All I know if the KD suns don’t even make it out the first round with all that talent it won’t be talked about as much because the lakers elimination would be the main priority but if lebron had kds team the media wouldn’t let him slide so easy
@@grvmbinoscott7163 you can hate on lebron all you want but to say the man dosent drop dimes is insane just shameful his teammates can’t finish the play sometimes
If KD wins with the suns, yall will still come out with the same narrative lol . He won with a super team . You can never please every1 in this world , just go hard each day and put your team in the best position to win everynight . Dis media ppl talks as if basketball is a one on one sport . In soccer , messi played with henry, eto, ronaldinho, xavi, iniesta so many greats . No one EVER discredit him . Yall basketball media just something else .
The answer is Wemby because he would put himself firmly in the running for GOAT if he led his team to a championship. (It won’t happen, at least not next season)
Do they know how hard it is to win????? Especially going to other teams after you won one??? Lebron and Kawhi, as the main guys, are the only ones I can think of over the past 40 years.
What kind of question is that? A player wants to Win a Championship with his team, this is a media question… So it should be, What player would benefit more from the media? And players that like their teams don’t really care… so the Top3 is basically KD,Lebron and Lillard.
KD will always have two Finals MVPs to fall back on. Plus an MVP and the most scoring titles of the era with elite efficiency. His longevity is becoming underrated, he’s not supposed to still be this good at this age POST achilles tear
I would make the Brunson argument. The knicks have been without a title for 50 years. I know it's unlikely, but if the knicks were to get it this year Brunson would win a mayoral campaign any year he chose to run
Paul George and James harden yes. James hard has a mvp n score titles. PLAY OFF P (so-called 😂) has been getting set back by Lebron. He has to get close before he goes. Jason Tatum from my city and if he got it now it would look wonderful on this resume but it’s a bit early in his career. He might need a change to get there
Well I said from the beginning that Dame and Giannis weren't a good fit because they both need the ball and Dame isn't the most efficient shooter. Kyrie would have been a better fit because he can shoot spot up shots, catch and shoot and is more efficient. Only issue would have been if he shows up for work or not based on his history.
I’d say Tatum or Embiid, Tatum could really be in the conversation of being the Celtics greatest player ever, obviously he would have to get a mvp and continued success but it’ll be a start, he could move up to no. 2 or 3 as the best Celtic ever if he wins this year. Embiid could enter the conversation of being one of the greatest big men (no Diddy) ever, he gotta stay healthy and continue to play at a high level
Chris said Dame gets to see what steph is living with. What is he living with? He's missed the playoffs 3 times in the last 5 years and nobody says a word. Wardell Curry gets superstar credit, but none of the same critique. He's a media darling. Imagine if Bron, Giannis, KD, Embid, Luka missed the entire playoffs 3 of the last 5 years. They'd get killed by the talking heads
Thts bcuz Curry is alot smaller than them guys. Name 1 PG superstar tht has more rings than Curry. Thts the only reason. The NBA is a bigger guy League
@@DennisB-is4mj He has 4 rings...including two where he was definitely not the best player on the team. KD was the man for two of his rings. All I'm saying is stop comparing him and ranking him with the top players without holding him to the same standard.
@@lnapjr76but he is a top player. Besides Lebron, in this era Stephen Curry is the 2nd most accomplished player. KD hasn’t won anything without Steph. What other guard can be compared to Steph in this era? You have to compare him to Durant, obviously Bron is better.
@@bjrowland25 So he should be up for the same scrutiny. He's missed the playoffs 3 times in the past 5 years. The talking heads don't say a word. They'd kill those other guys for that. And you can say KD hasn't won anything without him, but KD was without question the best player on that team....AND don't forget curry and crew went and begged him to join that team to save them from LeBron after they blew that 3 to 1 lead in the finals the previous year.
Nobody says a word because he won a title in ‘22 with Andrew Wiggins as his best performing teammate. He was also injured and missed most of 2020, the first time he missed the playoffs post-KD. The other two times, he lost in the play-in with guys around him not holding up their end of the bargain while he produced. And you’re wrong about Steph “definitely not” being the best guy for his two rings with KD. He was the guy drawing multiple defenders for most of the time that they were on the court together. He made things easier for KD offensively than KD did for him. The offense often stagnated with him on the bench and KD leading. Bron’s missed the playoffs twice and lost in the first round once in six years as a Laker. The first miss (in ‘19) was largely due to injury, although Bron DID return in enough time to make a push down the stretch of that season (the Lakers were by no means out of it)-he tweeted “playoff mode activated” before his return, then embarrassed himself with his play (injured or otherwise). He dealt with injuries in his second missed postseason as well, but played more than enough games to take blame for how awful the Lakers were that year (‘22). And they were on the verge of missing badly AGAIN in ‘23 before the front office made MAJOR changes on and around the trade deadline. Bron won his most recent title two years before Steph’s on a better team (including AD, who was arguably just as good or slightly better than Bron in the bubble overall). Giannis’s only start-to-finish great playoff run came in 2021, the year of his only title. He’s fresh off of a first round loss, and, despite his injury which partially excuses him for that, he came back and pretty much played like himself (he scored a bunch of points on great efficiency and grabbed a bunch of rebounds, while still being unable to either shoot outside of the paint or consistently make his free throws). Middleton’s injury obviously hurt him in 2022, but that was after he’d benefitted from injuries to Brooklyn the year before (I can mention that since many use injuries in an attempt to discredit Steph’s title runs). KD’s never won without Steph and the Warriors, and he lost to them in 2016-plain and simple. Perhaps he would have won in 2021 had Kyrie and Harden stayed healthy, but he followed that up by getting swept the next year in the first round by a team (Boston) that Steph would dominate in the ‘22 Finals. And I have no idea why you mentioned Embiid and Luka, as if they even belong in the same paragraph as Steph. Embiid’s never even seen a Conference Finals in his ENTIRE career, and he’s NEVER received any serious blame for it (first it was Ben Simmons’ fault, then Coach Brown’s, then Harden’s, then Coach Rivers’-who’s missing?). And Luka’s made one conference finals where-surprise-Steph sent him home. Another reason why we talk about Steph and Dame differently: Steph’s 10-0 vs Dame in playoff games and he’s BADLY outplayed Dame in the vast majority of those (and only 2 of those victories featured KD).
Embiid is not winning this season, and actually I'm afraid he's entering the phase where he could retire ringless. Especially if they don't add serious help
Kawhi winning another ring would completely reshape the way he's viewed. Leading two franchises to their first ring, and suddenly the conversation is whether he would've ended up top 10 without injuries. He'd pass up Durant and Giannis in one swoop and be hot on Curry's heels to me
He’s already better than Giannis & KD… he played with that Legendary Spurs team! (It’s like when Bird became a Celtic and somehow became the best player on the team unexpectedly) This Sounds like clout chasing to me?
@@mattwhitely1067 nah. MJ was better. More skilled. Much better athlete. Shaq was better too. Healthy Prime Kawhi vs Lebron , Kobe, KD are legit arguements. Prime vs Prime.
Lebron paying my man Chris now. He always says what Lebron does is not equating to winning. But he said the Sixers need him. AD is the best player on the Lakers not Lebron so them winning doesn’t get him any closer to Jordan. That’s more like Kobe playing with Shaq and no one gives Kobe credit for those years.
This is an issue with the nba. Costars and role players are just as valuable as superstars. Without pippin Rodman and that supporting cast put around him, Jordan would have won 10 mvps and 1 chip. Same with Kobe and his second run. Same with lebron and his heat and laker days. Nikola Jokic is no different. Dame is not a two way player, that makes him less valuable than jrue holiday. For years Dame had 1 guy in Portland who put up shots close to his level in McCullem. It’s like Jeremy Lin being more skilled and having the greenlight. Who isn’t going get buckets in that situation. Problem is without those other guys playing defense and hardly touching the ball Portland’s playoff runs wouldn’t have been possible. I’ve long said that what made the warriors dangerous pre kd and during kd wasn’t Steph but the fact that dray was that PG and a hell of a defensive player and allowed Steph to move and get good looks. Then klay shot the ball as well as Steph, was just as clutch as Steph, and was a top tier defender. Steph was just the icing on the cake.
10 scoring titles, 6 Finals MVP’s, highest career scoring average (regular season and playoffs), only player with multiple seasons of 200 steals and 100 blocks…Jordan’s made plenty of history of his own
@@brandoncrockett9266 Most regular season points Most Playoff points Most ASG points Most ASG appearances Most All NBA selections Most first team selections Most player of the week Most player of the month 130+ triple doubles 550+ double doubles 2nd n Finals MVPs
And saying that 6 rings to 4 is close is like saying that 3 rings to 1 is close. Mathematically speaking, it’s true-but anyone who’s won a SINGLE title (and played a prominent role in doing so) will tell you how RIDICULOUSLY hard it is to win two more
How we blaming Dams for Bucks failure when Giannis is the best player and the organization fired 2 coaches the last 9 month just to satisfy him? I put Gianni’s up there with Steph curry superstars that are always immune from criticism because of their likable personality.
You are such a liar. The Bucks had not been this bad in 6 yrs. Dame gets to Milwaukee and the Bucks are trash. This is the first time in years that ppl are saying the Bucks don't have a chance to win. Statistically, Damian Lillard is THE WORST shooter for the Bucks. Dame played 73 games this season and out of 73 games, the dude played AT LEAST 38 TERRIBLE GAMES. Look at these stats. 2/12 5/15 3/17 7/18 5/14 7/21 7/16 7/20 3/17 6/14 5/17 6/16 4/10 3/16 6/18 5/16 9/23 7/20 4/15 8/21 7/24 5/13 9/23 5/18 6/15 5/14 7/21 5/14 4/18 7/16 10/23 2/12 7/16 4/12 9/29 10/24 4/11 2/14 AT LEAST 38 TERRIBLE GAMES.
Giannis has 2 regular season MVPs, DPOY, countless 1st Team all NBAs, a championship, and Finals MVP. Dame is the one who jumped ship to the Bucks so why WOULDN’T he get the blame? 😂 it doesn’t help that he ain’t putting up anywhere near the numbers he’s used to putting up
Without a ring it's Ant he could become superstar and on his way to being one of the best all time. With ring it's KD he has yet to prove he is the best player that can lead his squad to a ring. Even if you think he can as during the golden state era I'd argue anyone in the top ten could have joined golden state and got rings. LeBron has nothing to gain he isn't even the best player on his team anymore him winning means nothing to me and many people.
