Which Nier Game Is The Harder Platinum Trophy? 

Replicant is way harder. The flower trophy is enough. A good chunk of trophies in automata can be bought from the in game shop

When I was going for the Automata platinum, I bought one trophy(upgrading pods), but that haunted me, so I procedeed to do the thing anyway to get my redemption. Gave up on the Replicant platinum after getting all the endings because of the flower and some miscellaneous trophies, but I think I'll come back to it some day... cause it's a nice game

I've done both and 100%'d in-game as well. What blows my mind is how you were ever intended to get the Lunar Tear without a guide. There is nothing in game that tells you how to get them and there are so many seemingly random steps you would just have to stumble across perfectly.

Replicant upgrading 33 weapons, was by far the hardest trophy between both games. I think i didnt even upgrade all of them because i had the automata dlc weapons and had a few more than 33 weapons so that saved me from farming some of the worst items (necklace coff coff) I played 105 hours for replicant platinum and 76 hours for automata edit: also i didnt even know that there was a trophy shop in automata until today lol

Having the platinum for all 3 games I say all of them are pretty easy, the grinding can be a little tedious but doesn't translate to difficulty, if i remember right they say changing the dificulty to hard increases the drop rate, at least in Nier/replicant. Replicant having the dlc built in helps a lot to get some materials and having the last weapon also helps 'cause it has attack - 999. I was having such a great time (besides being depressed and questioning existence) playing automata that it never crossed my mind to use the trophy shop.

I platinumed both the games, replicant was the hardest because of those necklaces oh god And I have a question, I bought some of the 🏆 some like upgrades and all endings because I was scared to do some horrible stuff so I just but them happily and after days I couldn’t get it out of my mind that how could it feel to go through all endings so as a nier fan I was so eager to play all the endings and the last ending was emil wich it broke me After he said ‚ I lost…. I guess power’s the only thing that counts in this world anymore. huh?‘ I hated myself, I hated myself even after killing those poor machines in the pascal‘s village, it made me think what monster I am So the question is after buying the trophies, am I stupid to go through all endings again? I mean I never saw anyone Dose it

NieR Replicant also has the achievement for beating Ending A in less than 15 hours, so if you miss that one on your first playthrough by just... taking your time and enjoying yourself, then you have to play the game again, but this time without being able to enjoy the story as you'd just be skipping all the cutscenes, also skipping all the best parts of the game. This is the trophy that made me not 100% NieR Replicant.

The Replicant item drop rates are listed in Grimoire Nier. And yes, Subdued Bracelets and Forlorn Necklaces have 2% drop rate… I love Nier Replicant so much that I actually had fun with the weapon upgrade grinding, and have continued to upgrade all weapons even after getting the trophy. 😅

Branch out to Drakengard next and go for the Drakengard 3 Platinum!

I've gotten every achievement on pc for both, Replicant is by far harder than Automata. I gave myself the extra task of doing every weapon in replicant because relying on the dlc ones felt wrong to me. Didn't buy any in Automata either because it felt pointless just buying it, that alone makes the plat nothing compared to the other two haha. I probably would've bought it if I'd missed that missable one though.

I used the Automata trophy shop to skip fishing and because I didn't know about secret ending y until it was too late.

For the flower trophy, you can 'cheat' it a little by setting your console clock to the earliest possible timezone and then going to the latest possible, but you can insta-grow the flower by skipping the flower like you can on PC. This trophy alone made replicant's plat a pain.

After spending 3 hours trying to get Emil to sell me the last weapons I needed to get 3 separate trophies and just figuring the game was bugged, I said F IT and went to the trophy shop. Way to much pointless grinding and RNG bullcrap. I came to the conclusion they put in the trophy shop because they knew the game was to easy to break.

For the pods in nier automata, you cannot buy some of the items needed for upgrades, most annoyingly the pure water must be farmed or given as obscure quest rewards

Agreed, Replicant's trophy is harder purely because of the item grind for the weapon upgrades. And the white moonflower, too. As someone who platinum'd both versions, ouch.

I bought the pod upgrade trophy because I somehow didn’t have the correct part to upgrade my last pod even though I defeated the correct enemy. It was the power up part dropped by the Golden enemies that don’t respawn. Maybe I sold it or just never picked it up? I made a new PSN account and got that trophy without buying it though, I wanted to get the platinum trophy again.

The only thing I bought in Automata was maxing all pods it left a disgusting aftertaste but I grinded at least 10 hrs for that trophy alone. It was the most infuriating experience in the game but my love for the game still remains.

Idk, Autamata took me like a week, while Replicant made me suffer for like 2 months almost. NA allows 80% collections is a mercy comparing to looter sim. In NR I had couple of mental breakdowns grinding Eagle Eggs, Bracelets and other crap. Also, boss speedrunning on hard took me some nerves especially SL or Kaine because failing means reload to go through the last hour of game which is not exactly passive.

There's a pod upgrade you get in Automata for killing a golden machine. If you miss it, they won't respawn.

While nether game is all that difficult to platinum, since this is a comparison, I'm leaning on "Automata" being slightly harder. "Nier" (and "Replicant √1.5") are just more involved since you're replaying more of it, not to mention any semblance of difficulty just vanishes once you get the Phoenix Spear. Though if we're counting the entire series as a whole, "Drakengard 3" takes the cake easily. Between the upgrade grind, the final arena mission, and the final boss...it's no contest.

I made a video about 100%ing replicant (in spanish, so not even gonna link it) and thats another kind of hell too, as you can get locked out of 100% word completion because of some of them spawning ONLY on some sidequests or in the inbetween sections between part 1 and a new game plus (dropping from enemies on the plains or the mansion basement for example). Dont know about automata as i havent tried completing it yet, but having to start another 80 hour file if you want to get everything on a completionist save, after grinding out all weapon upgrades and noticing you cant really get those missing things, is bullshit and i didnt even tried it again, which is kinda weird as there is a way to get all part 1 words on part 2 (the dream farmspot), but something like 15% of words can just get lost forever.

I got the flower in about 10 days, its honestly not as bad as it seems and the max upgrades for all weapons is way worse

I 100% them on PC, NieR Replicant was the tedious but nonetheless first JRPG game I 100%, the fishing and weapons are the worst parts. Automata is where I decided to not use secret shop so I can say for sure the weapon grind is nowhere as bad and everything was a breeze.

I platinumed automata and replicant. Replicant made me feel way more miserable trying to platinum it. Going back and forth through the desert and junk heep damaged my mental health more than the games story did. Fuck those stupid forlorn rings, necklaces, and black pearls and just about every difficult resource. Going for the platinum on replicant just outright soured my opinion on the game as a whole.
