The Seventy4 Deluxe doesn't get as much attention as the Sixty8 and Eighty7, but it may be the best of the three. I'm an avid user of LPD Pedals and love his stuff. Proprietary knobs, over-voltage protection circuits in a lot of pedals in case you accidently plug in 18v you won't blow it up, Fantastic sleek designs with active EQs, soft touch switching on most designs and a lot of really premium options under the hood. Lawerence is an engineering wizard and helps a lot of very popular brands behind the scenes with their board design, trouble shooting, noise floor filtering, and takes no credit for his genius. Really glad he is getting some attention on great channels like yours!

I have, and enjoy, both. The 74 stands out for me as a medium/high gain MIAB because it has the bark and sizzle that many others lack. The 68 is an amazing low/medium gain drive. I can get similar tones from my ZVEX Distortron, but the 68 Deluxe is definitely more flexible. Both are fantastic pedals for different reasons.

@@Unusednickname_1970 The Sixty8 Deluxe was designed to make a fender style amp sound and feel like a 60s plexiglass front Marshall and that's what it does well. It is the epitome of AIAB to me b/c it really feels and sounds like one. To me, in a world of pedals claiming "plexi" tones that have way too much gain the Sixty8 deluxe stands out as an engineered Plexi style preamp, that you can use at the end of your chain to recreate the sound/feel of a cranked, unmodified early Marshall amp. I use it in that way and push my drives/fuzzes into it. Expands my tones for live gigging and the sound man doesn't get mad at me either. The Hot rodded, higher gain stuff is where the other LPD Marshall options come into play.

I finally picked up a standard Seventy 4 (older version) recently and it is killer. Absolutely intend to buy a Sixty 8 Deluxe at some point.

Great demo! I have both and they cover everything I need. I do prefer the format of the 74 deluxe, but the boost on the 68 is pretty sweet. I just wish there was more space between the foot switches. No way I can hit that middle switch without accidentally hitting the left or right switch in a live situation.

I have the single pedals. One each and as they have come out over the years. I prefer to switch pedals in a song via my switcher and go from the 68 for low gain, the 74 for Crunch and the 87 for solos and heavy riffs. Each pedal represents gradually increased gain over the years. Each does one thing best.

68 for me...more clarity. Live, the more distorted the more things turn to mush for the audience...lots of gain is fun at bedroom levels though!

I have the 74 on my touring board. Lots of gain is fun on stage too. Even for the audience

What can I say? I love them both. Plus the Eighty7 Deluxe and the Fifty5. But alas, I have none of these yet.
