I had a 5 .1.2 (2 front heights) setup for about a year. I recently installed Klipsch CDT-5800 C-II in-ceiling speakers. The MINUTE I installed those in-ceiling rears making a 5.1.4 system, I re-calibrated, ....it was a game changer! it is so dynamic! Two vs. four heights/in-ceiling, It DOES make a difference.

Thanks for all the work you’ve done in creating awareness of the superiority of heights as opposed to tops for surround effects. I know many are still closed minded and/or heavily invested in Atmos ceiling speakers, but you and some of your colleagues (including Wilfred from Auro) have convinced me that this is the optimal way to go

which angles do you have with your front heights?

I just got a pair of RP500SAs as my first Atmos speakers and will put them high on the wall above my mains. I think I will test it out as bouncy-house until I can get to Lowes to buy some screws to mount them on the wall....only drawback is I'll have to run Audessey twice.
