Give y’all credit for getting onewheel to market an helping push the sport but prices should be around: pint $750, pint x $1000, gt $1500, gt-s $2000 & have user replaceable battery & electronics, gt & gt-s standard 6” wheel, also trying to block competition from market an being anti user repair while overcharging is good way create bad reputation amongst consumers of your products
Considering I have almost 3500 my 1 wheel. Why would I not be able to simply vesc my gt? Is that a thing because I have steep and deep rails? A wonderful Hoosier tire. XRGT converted hub as well as flight fans. The board is stacked. There's no way that gts handles like my gt. So if I could simply get some more power into it. That would be amazing. Please tell me.
How much do you weigh? You said you're a bigger rider, I'm curious as to what you weigh. I know the board doesn't care how tall you are, but it will create a little more drag.
Don't buy from this company, their bricked your device and will not warranty it. They will never take any responsibility or transparency of their devices.
Sorry guys, but trying to humble brag about all the boards being made and repaired in Cali isn't something to be proud of. People in the UK and EU and still being stung by crazy shipping and repair fees any time something goes wrong. Just meet us in the middle, You've taken on skilled and popular riders, now just train people so you can have official representation in the UK, EU and other popular areas not in NA. Repair shops already exist, but its usually to vesc the board because it can't be fixed (officially). Seems like a really simple way to save your customers money while still making a profit for yourself. If I could get my board repaired in the UK, you would have a customer for life. That's not something you should take lightly 🙂
Hey there, appreciate the comment. We know that getting board serviced in Europe can be a pain point and are working towards a service center the address customers needs there. Cheers!
I know this will be deleted by FM BUT a few things need to be said. 1st off you guys didn't mention push back or what speed any of the boards get pushback at which I feel you should have. Riding a pint at 16 mph would be extremely uncomfortable when you get full captain Morgan at 14.5 mph. 2nd we NEED custom shaping for the pintx boards like yesterday. I love my pintx but if I had custom shaping it would be life changing.
Yea no that's a good point. Maybe the biggest reason to upgrade to Pint X from Pint. Only super speedsters are hitting pushback regularly on GT but if you are GT S-Series is a good option there.
@Onewheel I def agree that only speedsters are gunning for those plus 20mph speeds and GT Series-S is perfect for that. I myself plan on upgrading to a bigger board like the GT or More likely GT Series-S, but I'd love it if you'd drop a custom shaping for the PintX. I feel like the PintX speaks to sooo many people from a price perspective. It's such a capable fun Carvey board, and with custom shaping, it would be 2x better and allow me to extract that much more out of it. It certainly won't deter me from getting a bigger faster board.
this^ even if it did deter me from buying a different board they should always be trying to put customers first and making the riding experience as good as it can be. They're just a lazy company thats banking off of a cool idea and it kinda sucks. The GTs is a joke imo, so cool you can go 5 more mph... and literally drop 10 miles from range. with an increased $1000 price tag yeah no it's not worth it.@@Dynamic_Aerial_Adventures
@lookforthegood1 I was trying to play both sides and maybe maybe win the lottery and get a response from them about the custom shaping for pintx boards. I don't have the funds to get a GTs. I could either get a used GT or build an XR out with VESC, a hyperflux motor, with a 84v batt. Gona prob be the later but it just depends on what deals I find. For now I'm comfortable riding my PintX with WTF rails, and other mods. Just really wish we had that custom shaping
my XR front footpad is broken and i cannot replace it without an extremely unreasonable shipping price, as i live in Norway. fix onewheel support for EU riders man! I'm gonna go VESC if y'all can't do this shit
but the pint x w/ rewheel software that makes it a mini xr pushes into the 20s but fm locked it down so you would upgrade to the gt and now again, dont like haptic buzz on your gt at 20 just get the gts and the haptic buzz is gone at 20
@@wheelsob_story sad 😢 that was the last straw for me ... They are literally selling "software" for a very expensive price! I'm not buying FM ever again
it may be weight dependent. with my gear im about 215lbs, and i get pushback around 16.5 with a max of 17.1. I bet its easier for the 150lb riders and less
All the info is so good. Jack nails the information on all the different Onewheels. I would add buy 2 boards because it way more fun to ride with someone. There are adventures just outside your door that should be enjoyed with someone. If I had to choose ones ummm……………… GTS or maybe the PINtX……..
Just picked up the GT-S as a new rider. Best decision of 2023 for me! Already have 100 miles and have carved up some trails in the Great Smoky Mountains!
@@Onewheel one aspect that you guys haven’t mentioned much…. Is how the new GTS drivetrain/form factor dissipates heat so well!! I push the S series even harder, and it’s not even sweating!! lol
I did buy a new Specialized Carbon Stumpjumper Expert s4 for 3'300 Euros in Switzerland and a CAPiTA Mercury Snowboard 158W for 400.- 😉 And the Bike has a lifetime warranty!
Am I to old to enjoy this marvel of machinery? 46 y/o and whant to get out more, get some air and just enjoy the thrill of being an older man? on a onewhell?
i picked up a GT-S and love it. really feel like it's the best board ya'll have ever made. really does feel like you guys completely dialed in the GT. the GT-S even made me a better rider on my stock GT. that said, i'd still eventually love to see something like an XR-S. XR form factor bigger rim/performance tire, 160 watt hours to keep it light and so you can also bring it on an airplane. Pint like weight. 113V? i might drool lol. a man can dream
Q: My Niagara Region idyllic village is flat, except for the escarpment down to the river. Roughly, a 150 ft change in elevation. How would a OneWheel perform (up and down) on this paved incline?
Any plans for a Black Friday GTS discount? And I mean a discount, not a bundle deal where you end up spending more than the 3200. Please say yes. Please? Do it. Do it. 😄
Hey, everyone. I don't get the bashing of FM. My background goes back the original Onewheel. It was outstanding and began the super stoke that we all dig. Since then I've bought the XR, Pint, and GT. When you consider all the battery and motor enhancements, I still calculate tremendous value with each model in terms of money spent versus awesomeness of the product. Comrades, get some perspective. Quality equipment for extreme sports is not cheap. Look at Core kites - they are very pricey, but no one is kicking the company about the cost because the kites are damn great. This is like telling U2 hey man, you are a great band but ticket prices should be $50 and don't charge over $5 for a beer.
My one will battery is shot after less than 2 years. It automatically says it's fully charged when you aggressively regen. Meaning I essentially can't go downhill and have no idea what my range is. It's now a toy I don't use often when I used to use it almost daily. I got an e-bike, I can change the battery out without any tools. Everything serviceable on it even the cheap Chinese one
I really want to get a OneWheel (pint x probably), but at the moment I feel that for me as an EU citizen it's not the right time yet. I hope this changes soon.
Lifelong snowboarder and I give @onewheel marketing team credit. Never have I wanted a product as much as this, it is childlike. I’m 38yrs never ridden one but seen them around.
My husband been wanting one for a while so for Christmas I got him a GT. I’m not sure if it was the right choice but it’ll do until he wants to upgrade it to the s-series. He been wanting to get one so he can ride it to work which is 15 minutes car drive from our place.
My recommendation to anyone on the fence between a Pint/X and GT should just get the GT. I got a Pint when I could have gotten an XR and regretted it immediately the first time I went for a ride with someone else who wasnt on a pint. Fantastic board for solo adventures or a rip to the store, but you'll be left behind by everyone at the group ride :(
ive waited very patiently for today. longest 27 days of my life, but boy did it pay off! s-series, for under 3 sheets?! yes pls! thank you for hitting the live button fm!
Great breakdown! My PintX for the short runs and my new GTS is flat out amazing! Gifting my GT to my daughter for Christmas and the XR hangs out for visitors.
If it isn't about making them money, they won't do it. They don't sell XRs anymore, and they're more about being for money than being all for the community
Or you can do what I did! Buy an XR two weeks before the GT announcement, get addicted, buy 5 GT, then stop riding them altogether when the GTS comes out, then (this hasn’t happened to me yet) buy 2 more GTS
@@markgarry7866 and then worry about being killed by all the random shut offs people are reporting? No thank you. And it’s the best money I ever spent so tell your broke boy story to someone else
Range depends on a lot of factors, rider weight, terrain, ect. but tire pressure may be the biggest of them all. If you want to go farther, make sure that sucker is well inflated!
@@Onewheel I was riding off road & I do like my stock tire pretty low. I weigh 180 but you're right, different variables. I'll try to ride w_more psi. Tnx man.
