Join the cast of 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' in a game of 'Most Likely To' as they reveal who would forget their lines, pull a prank on set, and win a singing contest! bit.ly/VarietySubscribe / variety / variety / variety
I love how they’re all a little nervous cause they’re still new to Hollywood, it’s so refreshing. They’re adorable. and I love that all the Demigod kids have curly or wavy hair.
yeah usually people prefer someone that emobides the character who can act, not just looks. a little too artificial if your main concern is looks over personality. @@jimmyfaltu8155
"Who's most likely to secretly be a god in real life ?" Leah : *shows Walker* Walker : "Why did you pick me ?? I mean I do have greek god features yeah, but other than that..." GUYS, HE'S REAL-LIFE PERCY JACKSON 😭😭😭💙😂
They are all so well spoken and have such respect for each other and the rest of the cast and crew from what I have seen so far they have done the books justice and I can’t wait to see them grow and change with the characters! 🙏🏽
my favorite moments: “wHeRe dO wE LiVe” 0:58 aryan knowing all about heroes of olympus and walker reading percy jackson and the olympians six times 1:58 “i mean i do have god like features, yeah” 2:51 leah’s “well-“ 3:00 LIKE CATS 3:31 “i would be a cat??” 3:35 all of them putting all the signs up for pulling pranks on set 3:39 leah’s failed prank on aryan 3:46 YOUNG ARYAN SINGING 5:08 THE FACT THAT THEY ARE TRULY KIDS MY PERCY, ANNABETH, AND GROVER!! 💙⚡️🔱
So I was in attendance for the NYCC Percy Jackson panel. Based on the clips we saw - especially the Capture the Flag sequence - I can safely say predict this show will be a VERY faithful adaptation. December can't get here soon enough!
// show spoilers Dude I saw the clips too before Disney took them down. The show is so accurate!! Like they really made sure all the important scenes are there and the trio’s personalities stayed true. I love how Percy is still eager to learn and trying to do his schoolwork despite his ADHD and dyslexia. The Peter Johnson movie didn’t understand that and just gave movie Percy an edgy, I don’t care attitude. I love how Annabeth makes questionable actions at first but turns out she had a plan. She was like that in the books (most recent scene is when Annabeth pushed Percy off a cliff so he can get into the river/water in The Chalice of The Gods. Here in the show, she pushes Percy into the water to see if he would heal 😂 Classic Annabeth). And I like how she has a deep voice and she sounds blunt but that’s just how she is. No nonsense attitude. They also made sure to include her NY Yankees baseball cap that makes her invisible which is AWESOME. And Grover did so well too! He has the same voice as I imagined book Grover to be. Him and Percy look like they really are friends and have a genuine connection. And he really looks like he’s doing his best as a satyr protector like in the books. I was so happy they had the two playing MYTHOMAGIC CARDS! Nico Di Angelo foreshadowing!!
Can’t be that faithful and Percy himself doesn’t have black hair and green eyes , as well as annabeth . And before y’all try to say it’s racist you’re mad nah . I’m mad at the fact Hollywood is race washing characters just because it’ll bring more views . Annabeth had a struggle being a stereotype blonde white girl who people thought she was stupid because of her blonde hair , which might not seem like a struggle but it is . She didn’t need to be black at all
@@Thdarkonex3 There's something deeply funny about a person who thinks that the dumb blonde stereotype holds any relevance in the year 2023. Go outside, man.
@@Thdarkonex3 she didn't need to be black at all, but they liked leah the most out of all the girls who auditioned and chose to cast her :) Annabeth's struggle being a stereotype blonde white girl is mentioned ONCE - and do you really think black women aren't underestimated? even the complaints about leah's casting is a bunch of people assuming she only got the job because they're "race washing" and not because she actually deserved it and can do it. do you really think this (minor - mind you!, as it was never a big plot point in the main series) struggle can't be adapted?
God they are all so perfect for their roles. Walker is such a Percy already, Aryan is a perfect Grover, and Leah is for SURE gonna be a perfect Annabeth. This show is the only thing keeping me going anymore 😭
Walker: "Oh look up his RU-vid channel" Aryan: "Oh that doesn't exist" Variety: *posted a clip from said youtube channel* Lmaooo the way I cackled at that cut 🤣 Whoever put it there, thank you!
With the new cast, Riordan feels that everyone involved is "perfect," even if they don't look exactly like how they might have been written in the original books. With Scobell, Riordan noted, "Did I care that his hair is a different color than what is described in the book? Not at all. He just felt like Percy.” With Simhadri's Grover, Riordan similarly added, "Does he look exactly like I describe him in the book? No. That doesn’t matter." "Leah impressed me from the moment I met her. She has that sort of steel that makes her a leader, but there’s a bit of vulnerability to her," the author went on to say about Jeffries. “Now, again, does she look like Annabeth looks in the books? No. Was that important to me? No. If anything, it was a massive benefit to broaden the cast in terms of representation.”
Everyone talking about Walker being the perfect Percy (he is) BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT LEAH IN THAT OPENING SCENE??!?! Walker and Aryan excitedly saying she'd be a Disney villain and then she's like "...I would be cat???" SHE IS ANNABETH
This interview was waaaay too short 😭 I need more content of these guys. They truly make me enjoy myself a lot. So funny and natural. I love them. Please give us more❤
They are so cute I was at first sad that they were not gonna follow the books on how they would look but their personalities fit their characters so well. Especially walker’s 💀he’s so awkward (in a good way) and goofy like Percy
Ever since the show’s been announced I‘ve been so excited about the fact that we were gonna get all those cast interviews and cast games, conventions, etc and now that the release is so close and all of those interviews are coming out I am actually feeling a bit nostalgic! So excited to see everyone playing their characters in the show and I bet it will be amazing!
Kids are crazy. How did they grow up in 3 months??? I just watched the buzzfeed interview, and they look so grown up there?? They gotta start filming all of the seasons at once cause they're growing up SO FAST.
I really missed these games with the cast of WoT because of the strikes, and also I don't know how many amazon shows have them, so I'm soooo glad to have these for PJO
Imagine coming back to this in 5 years when annabeth and Percy fell into the Tatarus, and we will see them all grown up all of the sudden and this will be so nostalgic 🥹
Percy Jackson has been one of my biggest interests ever, I'm so glad we have such a perfect cast :) and Aryan is such a perfect Grover omg he's so adorable
