Don't Do It! It'll throw a rod out side the BLOCK!!!.........Just kidding :-) My biggest fear was that it would spike the voltage Regulater.....Has never happened, so keep a spare and Let me know how it goes for you!!!!! @@CudaFishEStories That alternator shut off trick is something I have not seen before. It makes me sad that I "upgraded" to a high amp alternator with a built in voltage regulator, so I guess I need to figure out how to defeat it with one wire. I am sure there is a way. I have also not seen the water pump upgrade, but suspect it is only a good upgrade if done in conjunction with the electric low rpm motor. Then it would be brilliant. And the obvious cold air intake that I still have not done......I am too busy building a better motor than doing the right stuff.
@@stuartwall8212 I got that trick from a oval track guy that did that trick and several modes to get his water pump from cavitateing at 7000 rpm. you want the impeller as close to the houseing (with out rubbing). if you want more flow but woried.....make the impleller, to back surface .080 instead of only the thickness of the gasket of the pump. just some food for thought. Also, my set up does NOT us a t-state. water pump is the tempiture controller using that electrical controller. just a little fyi👍
@stuartwall8212 If the voltage regulator it external you could remove it, isolate it, then do the same thing...............If it is externaly bolted on, i would first make sure you can buy it seperatly and then how much that sucker cost.........unless You can find them "For Sale" in a junkyard! 😏😁
