Great vid man. All natural. And yes, love the part put in about setting down or dropping your mouse on a ex soft compared to a basic base. It really does cushions the blow and help protect your investment. I've got both Ninja FX Zero in EX Soft and the Hien in EX Soft. Would have it any other way. Got ya a sub man..cheers.
this video is really great man, i’ve wanted to make one similar! i’m glad i found another lover of XS! another reason i like it is i have the habit of pushing into my pad when making micro adjustments or ads.
yeah it's hard to put my finger on why I love xsoft so much more because I'm using the skypad xl right now and I'm equally in love LMFAOOOO pads are such a wild personal journey
@@themouselady275 this is where I think it changes person to person because you can Def push into the sponge a bit to slow it down the tiniest bit but I didn't really feel like there was any more control per se maybe the slightest bit that I just don't notice too much since I'm pretty light handed anyways
@@Sway___SD gotcha! well thanks so much for letting me know! a friend of mine is selling me her infinity pad, super excited to try it and compare it to my Hien Soft!
@@Sway___SD Basically my experience. I see people talk about "sink in" or use it in your advantage , but even if i press into my xsoft , i really doesn't change it's speed that much. I tried multiple mice , from 50 up to 114g weight , big/small feet.
Great review. I put a lot of pressure on my palm, and drag it around on the mousepad. Did I understand correctly that the mid will give better smoothness to my palm, or did you mean for the mouse feet?
Good video, how do you like your preonic? Im currently using a 40%, and I recently started maining a mouse with no scroll wheel. I feel like I need and upsize for gaming. Idk im thinking about the preonic but im not sure.
preonic is perfect for me the layout gives me everything I need and I only use one other layer super fun and ortho makes typing actually bearable for me, can't imagine switching off ortho ever
Are you back on the raiden now? Or otsu best girl for you still? Been trying to hunt down an otsu but they're always oos. Also corona has made shipping from Japan a bitch
I don't even know what's going on with me right now LMFAO I think I still perform best with the hayate otsu but I've been shuffling through the skypad XL and the Odin Infinity a bunch just felt like talking about the Raiden today :D
Ok so I have decided that I would probably like the Raiden, but this Mid or Xsoft is hurting my brain. I tried the Hien Xsoft once and absolutely hated it. But I feel that was because of the rough surface of the Hien. I guess I'll end up with both.
I've been using a hardpad (logitech g440) for years and am planning to buy a raiden. I want a bit more stopping power/control but I'm worried because I do grip/press down on my mouse hard. At the moment I've ordered a Raiden mid but I'm unsure if the xsoft is the better option for me.
:/ Sadly I'm using a hayate otsu (Mid) - it's slower than what I'm used to but the issue with this mousepad would be that I'm basically getting my wrist + arm stuck onto the mousepad after a while. I have a cheap 25$ mousepad from xtrfy and it doesn't make my wrist stick to it at all.
Hey I have a worn g640 with a g703 lightspeed. And I must say, it feels terrible. Whenever I change the direction, in which my mouse is moving, my mouse sorta sticks to the sureface for a little... now I am playing Overwatch, low sens. When I play heroes that need lots of accuracy, it feels like I need even more controll. On faster characters, a medium quick(faster) mousepad could be the best. I heard good stuff about the hien, but the XY difference scares me because overwatch needs lots of Y movement. Do you have revommendations for me? Also I want something that lasts longer than this g640, it cant be repaired by washing, which is just trash.
sounds like the new hayate otsu would be perfect for you honestly I prefer xsoft but soft is the safest bet it's the perfect pad when coming from something like the g640 because it's static friction is very low so your first initial movement feel effortless but then it gives you a good bit of control still my favorite pad and I know it would do you well
so i currently got the GRS SE or something (blue shit pad) I used the skypad for 1 month and loved it, but i had to sell it because of the low friction... i need an inbetween
possibly it's really hard to tell, some people completely fall in love with the Raiden but it's a very difficult pad to control hayate otsu and the zero are always the safest bets if you don't know what you'll like, with the former being a bit faster than the zero ofc
Yo dude, i need some help :( and you seem to have quite some pads. Currently have a raiden mid. Looking for a replacement:( I was maining it and REALLY loved the feel. But I was missing some shots and flicks knowing I would hit. For example, night and day difference when im playing apex with wingman. I had to switch to an old amp900 where im more accurate because of the control. But i really miss the feel of the raiden mid + the speed. I play on like 40cm/360. Did a loooot of research, but most pads, even hayate otsu v2 seem to have quite a bit rougher texture than the raiden mid for example. I really need something that is also silky smooth to the touch. My hand is just too happy. Also humidity should not do anything and it should be durable. Any recommendations? I live in EU so some pads are impossible to get by :(
@@Sway___SD will read up on them tomorrow thanks! And I just found out i can buy a wicked bunny sprint (L which is 900x 410 mm lol) on amazon for 16 euro's. Think it is worth to check a cordura pad out as well?
@@Sway___SD Aah damn, i thought it was pretty smooth, but then it is not an option. I'll just checkout the 2 u mentioned and try the otsu mid or soft on the side :)
@@Sway___SD maybe you can make like a top 3 artisan mousepads? I know its preference but most people agree that the hien, the zero and the raiden are the best ones, but how about the new hayate otsu, is it really a better hien?
@@balcoz2004 don't think I'll make a top 3 video so I'll give it to you Otsu Kou (my main) Raiden otsu is no doubt the overall best pad jve ever used, it's completely unique. I'm using the kou over it because I like the arm feel more + the xy difference but I think nothing comes close to the otsu low static friction, speed while still controlled, chefs kiss etc etc
I'm an xsoft fan boy!!! it's always worth to try soft and mid just to make sure you know what you truly love if you can afford it but xsoft is my fav no doubt
the stopping power you would get would be from putting weight/force into the pad I've heard of some people even riding their fingers off the edge of the mouse to dig into the pad so the stopping power isn't the same stopping power you'd feel on a slower control pad, it's distinctly different because you're abusing the sponge at least that's how I've come to understand it
just ordered a mid raiden, does it actually feel like a hard pad? I've never actually used a hard pad and heard the mid is the fastest, let me know if I made a bad choice.
