You can't pull the wool over Princess Anne's eyes, she is too observant for that, she also knows who would and would not make the cut in "The Firm". And so far she's been spot on. She's got a lot of her Mother in her as well, and Queen Elizabeth was very no nonsense.
But also Princess Anne has had a lifetime of living in the Royal Family as one of the strongest people. I am sure it doesn't come naturally unless you have been born into it. Even then, they all can give their lives to learning and getting better each time.
Anne, the hardest working Royal for many many years, knows it about the work and being entirely of service. She also knows a person needing constant approval and who wants to be in competition for attention and adoration could never succeed.

Harry's wife wanted the British Monarchy to become Disney Monarchy, based on HER vision of how she would play the "role". It was a "Casting opportunity", where she saw herself as the Star, and not what she was... a bit part player in an ensemble ("4th Spear carrier from the left" akin to stage productions of Romans at War). She played victim and painted it as Racism, stoking unrest in some communities in UK.. because she didn't get her way, after TELLING the World, SHE was going to modernise the BRITISH Monarchy. Didn't understand, it survives because, we (the people who paid for her fancy wedding) like it that way. Princess Anne understood, she was born Royal, but would move down pecking order with each child born within her brothers' families. And.. STILL she did her duty and honoured her birthright. Harry's wife wanted Celebrity. Result.. She had it all, but lost it, because she wanted more, more, more. First bloom of love will have died for Harry, and he now knows he was just like his Great Uncle Edward 8th...a failed Royal, grandson, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and nephew. We Americans don't always get that these royals are working a schedule everyday. I hope they can have a"PJ's All-day" day, once in a while. Yes they have staff working for them, but still they follow a schedule everyday, and have to be in a good mood, greeting the public, etc. I thought when Meghan blocked her family, except her mom, from her wedding it was a sign of trouble on the horizon. Then when she made fun of curtsying to the Queen, it was downhill after that.

I read on one of the youtube vlogger's channels links more than an over 2 years ago an article that said the staff allerted the senior royals that she behaves like she isn't planning to stay. She also retained 3 PR companies in the US and one in the UK as well as her US business management and lawyers all the time she was in the UK.

Anne manages to merge British work ethic with the timeless world she was born into, holding a title that harkens to a medieval fantasy. She can ride a horse decked out in ceremonial livery, wearing clothes straight out of 200+ years ago, but still keeps it real, understands the performance aspect and knows that it's a job more than an identity. That can't be easy. I think you have to have keen discernment into people, especially oneself, to do that. Look at the difference between her outlook, and her Aunt, Princess Margaret. Same title, just one generation apart, both spending entire lives orbiting the century's most iconic monarch, but so different in how the role takes its toll on a person and how they cope. As an American, I knew Markle couldn't pull it off, but if she'd taken an ounce of Anne's advice, she probably would've lasted longer.

How entitled are these people? From third rate 'actress' - no qualifications - to being involved with the British National Theatre - a prestigious institution! Harry is only a nephew AND the one that chose to move to another continent. Yes, often Aunts may visit nephews, nieces, etc... but very many don't. Anne was kidnapped at gun point & did not let that actual trauma stop her from doing her duty. Mrs H had ONE comment - if there actually WAS a comment - & that supposedly traumatized her so badly that she had to flee the country. Anne was born as a spare & had no issues with that, in any way shape or form. Mr H was born a spare and felt this was so horribly unjust that he had to hire somebody to write (a boring 🥱 & unreadable) book about it. Anne is born to her titles & in spite of working hard, was modern and modest enough not to insist on titles for her own offspring. Mrs H is not born into the family, has&will achieve nothing, and insist on claiming titles for her offspring. It’s time to revoke undeserved titles. Oh, how the world will continue to laugh as the baby girl who was supposed to “hit the road running”…
