Honestly not enough reviewers analyze/compare GPUs on this level. I love that you guys are doing this "niche" because it is usually information that is very painful to gather for an average consumer, and is more on the reddit "trust me bro" basis. So THANK YOU for doing the lords work, and saving me a shit load of time. This is awesome journalism.
exactly! coming from a 1080ti watercooled "standard PC" and not having taken a look at hardware for years the hardware martked now seems very awkward haha
That inno3D is a godsend for ITX lovers. I had, almost 8 months ago, to go search for a reference 7900XT, as it was the only 4K card small enough for a NZXT H1 v2. Not that I regret my choice, but it always is good to have options.
Very professional and objective, yet personal at the same time. Glad you point out that it's better to buy a cheaper version of a better card, than an expensive version of a lesser card, if you can afford the upgrade.
Thank you for this. As much as I don't love the value proposition of the TI Super, it is the cheaper option for dual encoder and 16GB so it REALLY helps having this information to decide which on to get!
Great video, i'm saving for a mid-range pc where i live.... Brazil. These 4070 ti models are kind off the sweet spot between "price per frame"... and the price gap between the "big brands" and the simpler ones does account for a big difference. Now, paying with a credit card, the cheapest you can find is around 1.390 euros, you read that right, whereas the most expensive one cost around 1.705 euros. The former is the inno 3d white edition and the latter is, as of course, the rog Realising that there is no SUBSTANCIAL difference between them is actually pretty good, especially in a hotter country, where you're not really expected to use the silent bios version (wich is also an information not that widespread about wich versions have and wich don't)
Thank you for posting this excellent video. I really like your calm, factual and professionally delivered presentations. You are adding to my knowledge and preparing me well. Perhaps this year I will buy a higher end card.
Low income people stay poor cause they spend money on stupid shiet. Be smart and buy old stuff on the used market and save money for stuff you actually need
I dont care about like particolare brands😅 I just like to save money and get better possible value quality gpu and you have gived all the info I was looking for just in one short video. Just a great job! Thanks you so much appreciated!
i was hunting the web for this comparison of the different models of the 4070 ti super's. i was under the impression that Asus TUF was the top of the list. but now im considering the gigabyte.
The inno3d model looks the most unique. While everyone going for gigantic tripe fans, they make a more modest sized gpu, i would bet the inno3d rtx 4070ti super is the smallest 4k capable gpu
I was thinking of getting the Gigabyte Aorus Master version, but it costs almost as much as a good 7900 XTX card. But if i go AMD i need a new power supply, mine only does 650W and has 2x 8pins.
Glad you included the Inno3d. I have the Inno3d 4070 Ti X3 and it is nice for SFF to have a dual slot option. I would have considered a 7900XT but they don't have anything compact enough.
So after a long video you couldn’t come to a conclusion which card has the best combination of good stuff you let the viewers decide !! Which means you didn’t help at all 😅
Great comparative review with some really decent specs and perspectives. Thank you for your time and efforts to share this with us all. Much appreciated.
Great content! It really helped me to decide which one to get. Here in Brazil is pretty hard to find any of them at a reasanoble price, but your video cemented my choice, I'll go with the gigabyte gaming OC. I wish could get the aero, but here in Brazil is nearly impossible to find it. I was thinking about getting a 4080 Super, but again, here in Brazil the difference in price is almost 30% over the 4070 TI Super and taking in consideration that the performance difference hovers around 10 to 20% I could not justify the upgrade. Again, great content, I just subscribed and I'll sure check the channel for more contet relevant to me.
You are the only channel that did not point out that the 4070 TI Super is best price to performance value of any of the new super cards. The 4080 Super is 18% faster but if you compare any of these exact makers of the 4070 TI Super cards compared to that same maker at 4080 Super....its a $270-$470 difference!!! The Gigabyte 4070 TI Super AERO is $879, the Gigabyte 4080 Super AERO is $1149-$1349. $270-$470 for 18% more performance? Is that worth it?.... The 4070 TI Super is the sweet spot. It will be the best card for resale value in a couple years. Similar to what the GTX3060 card is today...... The 4070 TI Super is also a scaled down 4080 Super! It's basically a 4080 with the wrong name. I can' t believe you didn't mention that the 4070 TI Super is built on the same AD103 GPU die that the 4080 uses. ALL of the 4070 lineup uses the AD104, except for the 4070 TI Super! And the 4070 TI Super is the ONLY 4070 card with 16gb of RAM......ummmm like the 4080?.....and the 256-bit VRAM Bus.....like the 4080. ALL the other 4070 cards have 192-bit bus.
In my case it was €100 between 4070 Ti Super and cheapest 4080S, so FE 4080S it shall be.. idiotic prices 😅 edit: just days after I purchased my 4080 Super for my main PC, and moved my 7900 GRE to the 2nd one, the prices of 4070Ti Super dropped so it was then €250 difference... Just my luck as always 😅
More tech reviewers need to calculate and tell us the relative price to performance gains on GPUs. I figured that the Gigabyte Windforce 4070 Ti Super at 769 GBP was a better deal than 4080 Supers starting from 1100 GBP (inflated above the 999 GBP MSRP).
Finally i bought 4070ti super, although been hard decision to choose between 4070ti super and 4080super, for me 4070 ti super fits well, although 4080 super felt like overkill😅 ti super just enough with combo my ryzen 7 7800x3d, felt amazing in 1440p, although i ran some a bit in 4k but i felt much more better in 1440p, great explanation video, yes 4070 ti super lots or version, i choose gigabyte
Great video! should i get 4070 super oc from asus rog or should i go for the 4070 super ti tuf version? its about 100$ diffrence but im not sure what to choose ?
great comparison. I also watched this kind of video about the 4070ti, the ASUS TUF falls a bit behind in both tests. In comparisons from other institutions, this doesn't seem to be the case. Did you use the quiet bios or oc bios?
I've not seem much on this subject, however, it's often down to the hidden specs of the PS, and whether it's being pushed just a fraction too hard for the capacitors to remain 100% stable, if they're not top-quality? Ignore the Gold / Silver etc rating, that's only power efficiency, it's component quality that matters most with PS stability, and that's not always as obvious as it might seem. Your Zotac card might just have a slightly lower power draw, so not stressing the PS so much?
I got myself a one from GALAX, and earlier I encountered issue where gpu sometimes would stop outputting display, and it's rpm would hit max speed. But changing power connection on psu (earlier I was using lower posrt connection for power, and then used one on top of my rm750e) not the cable, fixed the issue. My game would crash (days gone) under 2 hrs of gameplay, but now it's not crashing, even after 9+hrs of gameplay. Weird fix, but overall a satisfactory product, that I can recommend!! And when checking reddit, this issue is not bound to one specific brand...so fingers crossed if you do get one. But nonetheless, you'll get it fixed anyway through rnd or by yourself.. So make sure wherever brand you aare buying, take their customer care into consideration!
As someone who likes to have their hardware last for at least a decade, the weight of a card is a major concern as brackets don't completely eliminate sag and become ineffective if you ever need to move your PC. I'll end up going with an eagle oc model from gigabyte, still has metal backplate and dual bios but remains at around 950 grams.
Ooof, wish I had seen this BEFORE I ordered my Asus TUF 4070 Ti Super. It was an open box deal and has been working really well but a shorter card would have been lovely. I had to redo most of my build just to fit this thing lol.
Good choice! Double fan GPUs are usually noticeably worse than the typical triple design though this one and the asus dual are a lot better than the rest.
I purchased the Asus Tuf Gaming 16GB one directly from Asus for 799 with free shipping. It was quieter than I thought it was going to be. I done the old "finger test" when I was building the rig just to make sure they were spinning. 😆
As a SFF case user (Mini ITX) i've been looking for a thin (44mm or less) card and it looks like the Inno3D is the go-to for my situation! As a fellow Dutchy: dankjewel voor deze uitgebreide review :) Edit: funny that the sponsor is Corsair with their 2500x case. I'm running the 280X and it's such a nice little gem on the side of my desk!
new to pc gaming and want to play games like cyberpunk at 1080 with ultra settings and path tracing at least 60 fps ik this card is good but how do ik if it will fit in my pc? i currently have a 4060 ti
Thx for really good review but now i feel sad that me country have most expensive you and the cheapest model cost 930$ Gigabyte aero white and palit gamingpro black ( normal price for 4070 ti super is around 1000-1050$ PNY xlr ECT model's like strix cost 1200$ or TUF 1030$ on promotions normal price for TUF is like 1050-1100$)
I know the answer before watching the video. None. The RTX 4070 Ti is overpriced to the tune of £200.00 - £300.00 in the United Kingdom. These GPU's should have been £500.00 at the maximum. As usual, a nice and professional video though. I just object to Nvidia pricing of its stock, and the AIB tax with the prices we have to put up with.
These round ups are easily the most useful GPU content I've seen on any tech channel. Very, very helpful for making informed purchasing decisions, thanks very much ma'am.
None, I bought an AsRock Radeon RX 7900XT for $700 US and it is a Beast compared to my Strix RTX 2070; RT is NOT a priority for me & the 7900XT is an Awesome RasterBeast. I do have an eVGA RTX3070Ti (Gorgeous Card) to scratch my RT Itch if one arises.
cheap, small, simplicity, high performance, low weight, steel backplate but the thermal and the noise prevent inno 3D from being perfect in price :))))
Are you sure that the tuf wasn't on silent bios ? (2700 ish mhz boost clock with that high core temperature) Mine stock sits 2820 mhz and with oc 3030 mhz with 24gb/s. Is really something wrong with that tuf you have. It might show the physical switch on oc mode but i heard some unlucky owners had the same bios on both positions (silent one)
What I do not quite understand is how having RGB makes a card more premium. I struggled to find a card I liked that did NOT have RGB. I dont need my lounge room lit up like a kids disco. Kill RGB from PC parts I say. I also do not quite understand why a plastic shroud makes a card less premium. Once the card is installed, who cares? Metal also adds unnecessary weight. I mean who goes up to someones pc and says, is the shroud metal? The card is to provide great graphics to a PC (along with video processing, etc). It's not there to stare at all day. Yes we may want our computers to look nice but to say a card is less premium just because it has a plastic shroud yet performs the same or if not better than ones with metal is wrong. On top of the you pay a premium for absolutely nothing that will effect performance.
Since the 4070 ti super has the same chip as the 4080 (and different from the 4070s) same vram and same bus, that should have been the real 4080. 4070 ti super should be 4080 4080 should be 4080 super 4080 super should be 4080 ti.
I ordered one of these, specifically the Asus rog strix model, and returned it for a 7900 xtx they were the same price and the AMD card blows it out of the water. Kinda sad how inflated Nvidia cards are nowadays, coming from someone who has owned them for over 15 years.
