about getting professional help: my doctor at first minor back pain i had told me never to run again. back pain never came back a i strengthtene my core and adjusted my techniue and speed. she is still sitting there (overweight, actually obese), prescribing pain killers left and right and telling people to stop running. and i wish she was the only doctor like that. so, no, professional help is overated, unfortunatelly... i can understand that advice only as disclaimer. nothing more, nor less.
I think I have either have Sciatica or Pirifomis issues, but after watching this it might be that word you used that I can't pronounce or spell😖 I get terrible pain in my lower bum cheek on one leg, if I sit for too long. Great video👍
Great videos. I am just recovering from a big toe fusion (6 days ago) and was wandering if there is anything I should consider when I start running again. This will hopefully be in six weeks time. I have a multi day orienteering event in Sweden at the moment end of July that I want to participate in.
James Dunne it’s going ok now im back running been out for last 6 weeks injured 🤕 getting pain inside my left knee when running seems to be on the mend now 👍been doing a lot of glute work I think I was weak on the left side
Look up nerve gliding and flossing and take it very easy. I had this for years. Turns out the piriformis muscle in my glute was so tight that it was constricting the sciatic nerve from moving. Strengthen your piriformis, do some nerve gliding - you'll be right as rain.
