I am playing the Newport 2 plus. I find it to be the best of both worlds and vs the standard Newport 2 I think its about 1.5 strokes better per round. I really appreciate Hannah’s putter reviews. Thanks for the great content as always….
I have just today had the Super Select Newport 2 delivered, I know practice is key but I hope it improves things, I more than often 2 putt but the short putts I can sometimes miss which I hope is down to balance of my current putter.
I have just been for a quick practice for the 1st time and can honestly say I am very surprised. I was using a much cheaper putter but the difference is massive in forgiveness and balance and off the face feels super soft. @@hannahholdenNCG
Such a personal thing is a putter, but thanks for a great demo on each of the SC line up. I love my Ping Anser 2, but it's always a nervous thing to consider changing it.
Really intrigued by the Scotty Cameron my golf bud Jimmy The Newport model Tiger Woods but I have a Odyssey #7 mallet 38" Super Stroke in red I do well with but love learning about new putters thanks Hannah !
Nice overview of the new lineup. It's a really helpful introduction to golfers who are considering which SC putter may best suit them. Obviously, the ideal situation is to demo them on a large grass putting green where different putts can be tried.
1. Flow necks rotate less. They do not rotate faces more. The toe is slowed down more which suits arcs which release more. 2. Blade have left aim bias which encourage a right aim and closing releases. Mallets have right aim bias. 3. Alignment lines on lead vs behind. 4. Sight dot vs Line do it differently too. I wish reviews would get into this level of detail....
Recently started using the square back and struggling compared to the hydroblast delmonte 1 taylormade,,suggestions? I have 90 days to decide through the pga superstore if I want to exchange to another or simply in store credit
Pretty putter but ide never buy one. I’m not good enough to be seen with a SC in my bag. Plus I love my odyssey protype #9 , occasionally switch to my Rife blade putter.
Well, um, given all the options, I would select "None of the Above".....too pricey for me, and agree with others that putting is about feel and confidence. Ya can't buy a golf game and that includes putters (probably more than any other club!).
Hi H, it may be more beneficial for your viewers to do a proper real life test of face balanced versus toe hang putters, and not just the theory thereof depending on straight back and through putting stroke versus arc putting stroke. Best regards
@@thetowndrunk988 Haha! yes , i can be awful ! Plus the greens i play on are ok but not pga tour standard . I should get the 'Scotty Cameron worm cast remover' i suppose at £500
@@julesdowner5585 LOL. Some of our greens are terrible and look like golf balls, and others are immaculate. Either way I score the same. For me personally, I love the looks of a Cameron, but I don’t like that soft feel. I’m more of a punch type of putter, and I like a lot of pop. I suppose if I was actually decent, I’d feel different, but otherwise I’m like you- gold jewelry
@@thetowndrunk988Ha! i meant to call it 'Golf Jewellery' ! Its the price i find staggering. They say its a special grade aviation metal , So what! it'll only fly when i throw it! . I played today with a guy who buys stuff to do a job he wants so he wil not buy an SC putter ,but then he paid £600 for a trolley" purely because it was half price! He wanted a remote control trolley but i can't see why?
