I can't rave enough on the Cyclone. It's super fast and feather light. I had the first Escalante many years ago; it was pretty good. I'm sure the current rev is a vast improvement. Thx, Jay.
@@Wings_nut, I just got my Specter 2. Unfortunately, have not gotten to run in them yet . I did get to see the Cyclone 3, I believe they are coming out in February, 2025. Fortunately, it did not appear to have many changes.
@TheOldUltraRunner Did you try on the Spector 2's yet? Are they true to size or are they like the Cyclone 2 where you have to go a half a size down for a better fit?
I have the same Escalante shoes and love them. Light, just enough response when running. Most of my 'road work' with these shoes is on treadmills FWIW. I have other Altra and other brands for trail running. I also have Topo shoes, do like them very much, but not the Cyclone 2 (yet?). Overall I tend to go to the Altras for any lengthy harder running
I've looked into both of these shoes for cross country, which shoe do you think would hold up best to light trails with roots gravel rock but also work for track and road surfaces
