Dan Patrick and the Danettes discuss which sports franchises have an argument as the one currently in the worst shape, including the Carolina Panthers, Oakland A's, and Chicago White Sox
Sad but true …. as a hockey fan ( I know I am in the minority) the NHL is completely ignored . It’s not even on the radar for Dan in terms of a topic to discuss
The Colorado Rockies will *NEVER* win the NL West. Winning teams cost money, losing teams cost money. Dick Monfort has put on a masterclass of staying out of conversations like this while making a profit off of attendance.
@@skitown11 lol I was gonna say. Bro is acting like they didn't go to the World Series. They were there more recently than the A's, Angels, (I can't remember off the top of my head what year the White Sox won it so I won't say them). Rockies are a middle of the pack attendance team. You are acting like the Rockies draw like the Dodgers or Yankees do. Calm down.
We know all about the White Sox, Rockies and Marlins but good GOD do the Angels suck. The White Sox will win a World Series again before the crap-ass Angels have a season above 81-81. 😠
Just stay a fan of baseball. I'm not from Oakland, but I agree with you. I could not ever be a legitimate fan of another team in that situation either. Dan and his show are PURE east coast, USA. Oakland is ignored and they probably have zero idea of the perspective of A's fans.
Biggest issue with A's is there owner is beyond cheap, he got the city of Ssn Jose to build him a soccer stadium and the Earthquake's are still amongst the lowest payroll' in the MLS, Vegas beware
It's Interesting that the CLIPPERS actually said they were "Upset" that Leonard was Removed from the Olympic Team considering they knew His Knee was still recovering from the Surgeries.
How about the Chicago Bears who extended Eberflus who set a franchise record for consecutive losses and who bought Arlington Park, demolishing it to make room for a new stadium and then deciding to go another route. Da Bears are trying to out do the Cowboys for irrelevancy but by destroying another Chicago icon may have one upped Dallas.
I would think my Chicago White Sox. The record (with their next loss) number of losses in the modern day era. That kind of clinches it don't you think?
I wouldn't say the White Sox only because they have a decent farm system and with a few trades this offseason and the 2025 draft, it'll go from a great to a stacked system. I'd honestly say the Browns just because you've been so bad for so many years and you trade for and sign this QB with issues to a monster deal and so far, he hasn't performed at all. It's still early but damn, do they look like they're in for another few years of misery.
I was just going to say, there’s one team they didn’t bother mentioning. And maybe I’m being hyperbolic but sans the Jordan years, it’s more of a Blackhawks town than a Bulls town.
The Browns definitely because of how much guaranteed money they have tied up with Deshaun. All of these other bad teams will clear house in a couple years. There’s practically no realistic way for Cleveland to get out from underneath their long term issues unless more lawsuits come in
I just laugh at the Oakland fans aghast that the A’s are moving, when in fact they stole them from KC, who had stolen them from Philly. The history of franchises, of all sports, moving is long and sordid.
You're saying that 60 years isn't long enough to think the team belongs to you? You must laugh at Texans aghast at Mexicans entering their state when they stole that land from the Mexicans, who stole it from the Spanish, who stole it from the natives. The history of everything is long and sordid. But hey, as long as you get a chuckle.
There is no doubt the A’s are the worst sports franchise. They don’t even have a place to play next year and the stadium deal is still not final. They have destroyed their fan base. They have doubled the price of tickets for the final home game. Yet they will not have to pay 300 million relocation fee. When they are good the players are sold for new prospects. MLB players refuse to play for them. So they are a glorified AAA team. Fitting they will probably play in a triple A stadium next year with no official city to represent. What a joke of a pro sports team. One of Many American welfare pro-sports franchises owned by billionaire’s.
1) Winning record since the ASB 2) Exciting young outfielder on the verge of crossing the 40-HR threshold 3) One of the most dominant closers in the game, period
If you are in Chicago, you know there are plenty of Chicago White Sox fans. I know the national perception is only the Cubs matter, but no, the White Sox matter.
The A's crowd situation has mostly been about the imminent move. It's been looming for years and years. Yeah, a lot of people thought the Colosseum sucked, but tickets were fairly cheap and it was easy to get to on BART.
As an A’s fan people who don’t know baseball can say anything about the players Look at the stats they’ve put up Rooker close to 40 homers Butler close to 20/20 after being sent down to the minors Shea as a catcher close to 30 home runs Gelof early season struggles yet putting a decent offensive season from the second base position Miller The bullpen with a top 5 era Jakob Wilson A farm system that’s better then it has been since the last 5 years The organizational structure is something only the owner controls For 30 years Oakland did nothing to make sure they got a new stadium not thrilled they’re leaving but Las Vegas will have a new stadium for the core they have assembled
The Clippers have dominated the Lakers since the beginning of the 2012-2013 season. I believe they have a record of 38-9 in the last 47 games against the Lakers.
True, but it's also true that no one cares. Look no further than local sports radio. A Laker farts and they will talk about it for 3 hours on every show. Clippers do something positive and no one gives a damn. The new Clipper arena is already referred to as the Lakers' second arena.
It's too easy and lazy to say this. They have actually tried to sign players and when they do they colossally flop. The biggest example of this is Anthony Rendon. Rendon was an All-Star in Washington. One of the biggest free agents. It came down to the Dodgers and the Angels. Angels got him and he's been the biggest disappointment since Fredo Corleone. There are other players the Angels singed that became free agents after big years that nose dived. This has occured over the span of several GM's so instead of blaming management, toss blame on the players that got a fat contract and decided to stink up the joint.
