Which Store Has The Best Shipping For Funko Pops? 

The problem with bigger boxes is that unless the shipper uses padding all around the figure it’s worse than a small box b/c when a heavy package goes on top of a mostly empty box that’s when it gets crushed and damaged. So a small box is usually better since it keeps it from getting crushed, especially when the figure is in a sorter box inside.

In my opinion, the Funko shop are the best at protecting the pops from damage. And also the size of the box they use, depending on the amount of pops you buy, gives a good amount of space to put protection on the pop.

Here’s some other stores -Toys R Us -Pop in a Box -Gemini Collectibles -Target -Random What Not auction -Fye -Popculta - Books a million/Barnes and Noble - I feel like a really good one would be StockX because even though they are mainly for sneakers they also sell Collectibles like Pops so you could see how they authenticate and package those.

No surprise Amazon came in last. Most of the Pops I order from them comes with a little damage. The only Pops they really send in good packaging are the Amazon exclusives

In Mexico, there is an online store called Distrito Max, they always send the funko with bubble plastic like 2 times rounded in the plastic, if the funko doesn’t fit on the box and its a lot of space they put support (this happened with the Dead Strange vs Scarlet Witch, and they always put a postcard related to the funko for example mid its a marvel funko you got for example a spider-man card and a little sticker

I think you were very generous with your score. If a private seller sent you a pop like they have your score would have been much lower.

Even with bubble wrap or paper, bigger boxes are risky. They crush easily. I find the best boxes are from PopInABox (Zavvi). They fit the Pop! perfectly and are very thick cardboard. And yes, that inner flap gives an extra layer of protection. I have never had a problem with them. Especially since my lovely postman likes to chuck them onto the porch from the driveway! I also prefer smaller boxes from an environmental perspective. I think they should have scored much higher!

Just ordered a scarlet witch funko and I’m almost done with every scarlet witch funko product!

The way I see it, is if the box is close to the same size as the Pop (or any other product), there's not enough space to put padding or bubble wrap inside to further protect the package inside, on the other hand, if the box is small enough, it may not end up under another heavier box that could crush it, a sorter box is a good idea, but if you wanted complete protection, bubble wrap, sorter box and a decent size box, I'm guessing it would cost more... unless the Pop you order is worth much more, so you might want maximum protection at that time. Hope it makes sense! 😉

I stopped ordering figures on Amazon because they always came in completly crushed. The packages arrived in a shape where you could tell that the figure was broke already without even opening the package. After 5 crushed figures I stopped orders on amazon except for exclusivs.

I really enjoyed this video but, I think another thing that should've been in the list is shipping cost. I feel that could impact rating on the retails stores you purchase the funkos from.

I've found Amazon and GameStop most often send me poorly packaged Pop's that are often damaged. I've had the best luck with Funko and Hot Topic.

I remember a family member ordered an exclusive Funko from Walmart and when it arrived, it was damaged! Someone at the store had a bright idea to ship it in a bubble mailer, twice. The second time around, it wasn't as damaged as before... though that's why I don't shop at Walmart too much.

That is very disappointing from Amazon considering I’ve only ordered 3 pops ever from them and all 3 have come in sorters and only 1 was damaged.

I think you should rate Amazon lower, I’ve ordered pops from Amazon and most of them arrived in bags, the box was destroyed, and you can’t return it because the pop itself wasn’t broken, just the box

I would love to see another one of the these as I highly enjoyed it.

Amazon is absolutely the worst. The past 4 out of 5 POPS I've ordered have come damaged. I should have stopped ordering sooner. One (Old Man Cap) came in an envelope, with sticky bubble wrap stuck to the box. So it was crushed, AND the sticky bubble wrap took ink off the box.

Amazon deserves a zero for everything, they always package things like a complete dumbass no matter what you order

Amazon and Pop In A Box have been the worst for me. The last 15 pops ive purchased from Pop in a Box were all damaged. Mostly because a lot of the Pop in the Box Pops having been coming from over seas.

I think it's funny you did this video today. I just received an order from PIAB and the box was barely big enough to fit the three pops inside it. That's pretty standard for them, the boxes are almost always just big enough for the pops in it, with no packaging or protection. That's why so many people complain, because it's so easy to get a damaged pop from them. Even with minimal damage to the outside box, all three of my pops that I received have damage. It's not horrible, but it's up there. The worst I ever got was from them, and the box was long and narrow. The pop barely fit, but it got crushed, so the entire pop was crushed. It was horrible. Target is usually pretty good. However, I once got a package where the pop boxes were damaged because of the protective bubble wrap. That's not something you'd expect.

The problem is.. people often OVERDO packaging. Had a guy from eBay go overboard with protection, and that’s actually what caused the damage. Had he not, there wouldn’t have been anything to smash into the pop itself..

At least your pop from GameStop had some protection the Switch lite I ordered had no protection at all and the Switch looked like it was just thrown into the box and shipped switch came with a cracked screen and wouldn't turn on even after charging it but thankfully GS thankfully swapped it out and gave me half of a return.

Great video..of course like you said it is different for every order. If I order for HotTopic just a single pop they always just put the pop in a sorter in to a poly bag..not even a bubble mailer but just a thin bag. One time the bag ripped and the pop fell out..I just got an empty bag! 😭 they sent a replacement in a bag again after I asked them to please put it in a box. So yeah I don’t order from hot topic after that.

I'm assuming Wal-Mart gets a very low score, even though I always order from there. Also, I love how with the Amazon one, you sound like a concerned parent lol.

I ordered the mighty Thor exclusive from pop in a box and it was terrible, the box was only just big enough and it was damaged, no inner protection and the pop box was heavily damaged, it also came with the wrong sticker, I complained and managed to get my money back, but it’s happened before and will probably happen again

I have a small collection but I’m trying to build my collection

Meanwhile, amazon sent me the pop in a plastic sleeve... yes, the box was crushed and torn and since it was the very last one I kept it as OOB.

The Amazon packaging indeed is really bad at packaging their items. I actually liked the movie Lightyear, was good. Great video, like seeing the different ways companies ship their pops 😀👍🏾
