@@bhapapathvisutvatanasak9329 hunter would go for an easier target, character wise, killing dancer is much easier than perfumer unless ur sculptor or bonbon
Luca is my main. I like how he helps others, but it's not helpful when the rest of the players spend their time rescuing others, and end up getting sent back to the manor, leaving you most of the time to decode by yourself.
Yeah, as I play solo a lot, I’ve lost a lot of matches where almost my whole team is either kiting or rescuing and I’m the only one decoding. Luca I believe is better when playing with friends and you’re able to communicate with them. Basically, Luca heavily depends on good teammates (everyone relies on good teammates but I find Luca depends on teammates more than others). I honestly main Luca because he had a really cool design and he’s a decent kiter as he doesn’t have any kiting drawbacks and he even has a mini stun when needed. I guess his drawbacks it fits Luca’s personality as he’s known to be very friendly and overly trusting with others. :D
Oh wow, can't relate! All Lucas in my rank and quick matches get down first. No offense but somehow most Luca player either decode carelessly right next to the hunter and dont kite or dont decode and hide while someone else is kiting and still go down in 5 sec without decoding for the team
strangely enough, i had no idea how to actually kite- no matter how many videos i watched, how many games i’ve practiced, i didn’t catch on ... then i picked up barmaid, then miraculously, my kiting improved tremendously.
same experience but with the mechanic. Didn't know how to kite to save my own life so decided to be at least of use to the team by decoding fast, ended up being chased a billion times every match. I just kept thinking I spawned too near him, it took me a good while to understand I was the top target on their most wanted list lol. Because I got chased so much I just learned to kite well :') I'm glad I did since it's pretty fun. Plus, I keep using my baby bot to heal me up+rescue. Man, it's the best teammate anyone could ask for. Until you don't have it anymore-
@@lunabrights4073 why would u ever save yourself with your bot tho. Unless the hunter leaves the chair, it should be used on decoding while on chair due to the decoding buff
I really want to try her out but I'm not exactly catching on to her abilities like does she only heal her teammates or does she do anything else? could u please try explaining her character simply :')
But it's true tho. I love the fact that he can see through walls but it's basically the same thing with TME and it's not really useful in containing the hunter. I wish they give more features to his map because right now it is one of the least useful (not necessarily useless) items. Idv is not what it used to anymore survivability is getting more and more important these days.
i'm a gardener main, i've done a lot of 5 cipher kites as her when i time shields correctly but if you miss a shield early game that can hurt your kite a lot
pls teach me your ways sensei. I'm a mechanic but I need this since I'm being targeted 24/7 T_T I love kiting but I just wish I could do it longer to help my team.
Tip !!! As a Gardener/Emma main, I find it really easy rescuing people with Emma's shield when they're tied to a rocket chair. Just go near the rocket chair (make sure the hunter doesn't see you if they're camping). Summon a bubble, and charge in and release your teammate. You can body block, but it doesn't hurt you and instead pops the bubble--which is good because you're not injured & the hunter is on cooldown. Quickly get out of there !!! And boom, you have an extra hit before you get downed.

@@sapphireglove5395 the only character that feeds presence is perfumer. Mech CAN feed and seer CAN feed, but merc won’t, forward won’t, Priestess won’t, etc too few do for not feeding presence to matter. Presence doesn’t matter to dw, bon bon, vio, mad eyes, feaster etc. the only two you shouldn’t feed are wu and sculptor, so cipher rush and maybe don’t even rescue, that strat is way way way more viable than playing first officer. On top of that sculptor does counter FO, the statues at full presence will track his actual body not his fake, and once one hits him his pocket watch ends. She can also at low presence just spam the statues around the chair and his ability is pointless, he can’t get hit by a statue and not take damage, he’ll be revealed and risk a TS. Forward, merc, grave, and even coord are more viable against sculptor than he is. Sorry if he’s your main but he’ll never be full meta. Situational meta? Maybe. Well have to see how the game goes in the future. I main doc for survivor, she’s A tier too, A+ situationally, it just be like that man, 🤷♂️ FO ain’t meta or A+

I initially chose Tracy cause when I saw her description I was like "omg a fast decoder that is weak af? Sounds like the perfect pick for me!" and then I realized that she requires multitasking which is my speciality. Here I am now, a few months after, I am a C badge Mechanic. (I didn't even know that she was considered op or anything)

I sometimes play as lawyer when I wanna have a chill match and you know, just decode, and there's been some people saying "ugh, lawyer" so next time I'll for sure tell them that you're coming for their ass
I started playing identity v cause Eli looked hot.. I got grizzly's seer giveaway recommended on my youtube and I got curious. that was more than a year ago. anyway I started playing embalmer last week and he's actually pretty damn good! all the meta hunters right now focus on stuffing saves but if you use a coffin on a teammate you won't have to deal with that anymore! it also makes tunneling you and your teammates way harder because you can basically teleport where you want when chaired/downed
Yeah but most of the hunters counter embalmer because they can get to the coffin quickly in some sort of way Sculptor can throw her pick to find u Bonbon can through really far bombs sometimes Bloody queen can mirror Dream witch can move quickly Percy and breaking wheel just..🏃♂️💨 Ann can get around fast too Wu chang can just teleport lol So unfortunately he is countered quite a bit I would hope for an adjustment where they let him choose when he gets to teleport so he can waste time
I really agree to play the character that u enjoy playing. I play painter and barmaid. It’s not a popular character and usually don’t see them in matches. But whatever, play whatever u wanna play. I recommend looking on RU-vid and see the character u wanna play before purchasing it if ur buying using clues coz clues takes some time to save up. Happy playing y’all!
It's funny how at first I play as a prospector, and now I play as a postman in mammoth rank. I don't get why I'm getting more win/tie as postman than prospector even though I played prospector way more than postman
One of my most insane matches was an almost 4 cipher hide with explorer in Arms Factory. I wasted that Smiley’s time so much but I was hiding in this really obvious spot, it was kinda funny. I eventually got found because of crows but it was a 4 man escape
My sis got into idv because of the persona 5 crossover, and after awhile she put on a match on the tv and I saw a female dancer and went "Omg shes so cute 😍" and so my main was chosen before I even started playing, or knew anything about her.
I agree with you on dancer but I think she should have her own category because unlike with the semi-kiters, she's most definately going to be found due her music range but she can also support quite decently too as her music range can support others to kite, decode ,and resue. Not only that, she herself can do all of those things at once. Her blue boxes can be used to bait hunter to hit the rocket chair during rescues, pink/red boxes allows her to decode very fast (perfect calibration of course), and during kiting, she can use her boxes to transition from one place to another by due to the lingering music effect where the hunter will still be slowed down or the survivors will still have their speed boost for 2s even if they leave the music range. She can then put another box down and continue the pattern. Overall, she's a pretty well-rounded character that's well-equiped for certain situations.
As a luca main who just lost her b badge AHEM,I always can’t decode my cipher machine peacefully without kiting and honestly,there’s no excuse if u “die” fast when kiting as a prisoner.It’s essential for u to learn how to kite(all hunters the best)when playing as this character since he only has that electric thingy that helps with kiting. No matter what character u r playing as,pls just GO WATCH SOME TUTORIAL VIDEOS ON HOW TO KITE,EVEN IF U ONLY WANT TO DECODE🗿
Right now I'm maining Female Dancer, she's a really cool survivor in my opinion and you have many ways to put the music boxes so you can stun the hunter :D also I'm between choosing Ento or Gravekeeper for my secondary main (if that's even a word) so this video is really helpful
I decided to play minds eyes and main her because I thought she just needs to be in the corner decoding while other survivors kite but I guess not. I'm a super bad kiter and hunters always go for me TT. I was with another survivor and the hunter found both of us. They followed after me.
This is such a good video! One thing that might be a good addition is a sidenote on Gardener’s ability. Besides using her bubble to prolong kites and sink hits (including detention hits), she’s a great rescuer. No risk of terror shock with bubble, or you can time bubble for a body block in case you don’t run Tide (or use bubble after taking a hit for your teammate post-rescue). Favorite thing is her harassing potential though. I’m not good enough for it yet but I’ve heard people say they’ll break all the chairs in an area to draw first kite, then max out struggle/sticker to waste more of the hunter’s time. You can also break a chair if you’re absolutely sure your ballooned teammate is being sent to that one and is far enough away. Once they’re ballooned again, break the same chair lol. Hunter may switch targets because you’re being annoying as hell, which wastes time and saves your teammate. Heavily reliant on good kiting skills as a result though (obviously).
Acro is not just a kiter but he's good in rescuing too. The fire bomb place it on hunter that is camp (bonbon, sculptor feaster) and it automatically ruin the hunter camping rocket chair
My pick would definitely be the Enchantress. She's so flexible in many situations and her ability to stun the hunter can help you kite/ rescue ballooned teammates to buy more time for your team. For a beginner her skill gives you the freedom to experiment kiting styles, and the best part is you don't even need experience to use her😂 (Literally it's just one tap)
Just a personal opinion I'd like to give on the list. I believe that lucky guy and embalmer should have been in the kiter category. This is because they get nothing right at the start of the game to kite. If the hunter finds them they will chase them because of their lack of kiting abilities. Another thing being dancer should not at all be in the kiting tier. Her boxes are such a pain for hunter than anyone with some common sense will never chase a dancer if they are found, at the very least dancer will be chased much less in comparison to the other characters in the kiter category. Great list tho just my personal opinion :D
plz the fact that im a decoder main but im basically a rescuer cuz the amount of times ive played with rescuers who refuse to do theyre job saddens me 😁😁
I main Edgar and usually end up decoding/saving people because I can never find the hunter but when I do I end up kiting for the whole round so- but other than that he's a very useful character (in my opinion)
my favorite thing to do with first officer is, when im the last person, the dungeon is open, and the hunter is camping thw dungeon, i like using my pocket watch to delay what the hunter sees so i can escape
Oh no u are right, I may have missed it when I talked about it. It was more of a general idea of each character. Also it’s much harder to kill merc than first officer that was the main point.
Painter is a pretty good rescuer tho- he can place a painting and bam- you got a distraction and the guy is out. Honestly though, I think painter is pretty underrated, I wish he had more paintings 💀
In my opinion magician could be a pretty good rescuer too if the hunter is near you you could hide near them and as soon as the hunter puts any survivor on the chair you can use your wands and rescues them. If the hunter doesn’t rlly pay attention then you have like already won the game
I'm a mechanic main. People think that mechanics have it easy, decode and go. You'd expect mechs to just decode and open exit gates, but that's FAR from the truth. Chances are you're gonna be the first one out kiting the hunter because they always target you first T_T At the beginning I thought I was bad at kiting so that's why I chose to be a mechanic. But over time, I kept having to kite and ended up improving so much. Now I know that to be a mech you need to be able to kite for looong amounts of time, just so that your team can make up for your lack of decoding by decoding in peace. So yh. That's the story of how I went from not wanting to kite to kiting 99% of the time. Turns out I really enjoy doing so. It's always a bit thrilling. So for anyone that decides to be a mech, please keep this in mind. Also, just to be a good teammate, please learn how to kite for long periods even if you're not maining mechanic. Nobody is safe from kiting in this game, you'll always be getting chased no matter what. So please, give it a try. It's not so hard after you do it a few times I promise :)
Explorers only kiting buff is that if he vaults a a window or a pallet he won’t alert the hunter(I don’t know if this has changed but ya... I think that it is only window so...)
And I have a reason Why I try not to play lawyer Coz he is a evil chipmunk he needs karma 1. He tricked Leo and lied to him and took his wife and everything 2. He is a pure evil chuckmuk 3.he hurt my main Emily by leading her to the hunter 4.he ....... is just horrible But I won’t judge anyone but I don’t like him no offense to lawyer mains
When you can't even kite well and normally dies between 5-10s of kiting : 🙂 That's why everytime i play i would pray that i wouldn't spawn near the hunter TT i could decode well but *sigh* not kiting. But i wanna try 😭 i just don't know how 😭 i feel bad for my teammates tho..
when i told my friends i wanted to main mike because he was cute (i didnt know a single thing about him i just got the game) my friends told me hes one of the hardest survivors to play... im an A badge acrobat now-
Me who plays mech and knows hunter routes and knows how to stealth (almost Alicorn) so I decode for the whole match: 253% decoding progress goes BRRRRRR (Btw I still kite cuz hunters still can leave and comeback to place where I spawned or when survivors lead hunter to me TwT)
