My husband is taking tasigna since last four n half years his rtpcr was undetectable last time but again its 0.03 after six months i m very much worried please reply asap
Taking Nilotinib 300mg twice daily from past one year, first i got alteration in liver enzymes after 6months, then hyperlipidemia, and now liver issue is resolve and lipid profiles are in control. But here a new thing arise called thyroid, now my TSH levels showing high from last 3months. Is this all because of the side effects of the medicines??? As i do not had any of these issues earlier before diagnoses and treatment. My bcr-abl is 0.004 now but still having other issues as i mentioned above.
Thank you for your comment. It is possible for the TSH to increase with a TKI. Mine went up over the years and has gone up even more since I stopped taking the drug. I would ask your doctor to also run a T3 and T4 test. If those are normal, then you might not need to do anything else right now for the increasing TSH.
@@RajendraKumar-ef4en Not every lab uses the same criteria for calculating the bcr-abl. So this conversion takes your number and makes it comparable to a scale that is used at many other labs.
