Can I just say, I love this channel. It's really helped me to understand what to really look for in product that I used to not really care about all that much. It's saved me money, thanks to paying the premium upfront and getting products that last, and it's helped me understand the importance of those premium features.
Ok my friend, what shark are you going to buy? I have a 5 year old Shark Navigator and thinking of adding a second vacuum for the majority of the house and let the boys use our navigator for their room and basement.
@@dantaylor2630 Shark APEX UpLight Corded Lift-Away Vacuum they did a review of it back in Sept 2019. Got the vacuum and makes cleaning the hardwood floors way easier (hardwood floors with a few big rugs). Review was spot on. The only minor downside is when i try and clean small entrance rugs, it has power and suction that it's sucking them up and I just can't use it on them. GOod luck.
this channel is fantastic! Usually when I try to find good vacuums online, there is a lot of sponsored content. Good to know there are some enthusiasts on youtube that will break down the pros and cons of each and plug recommendations based on real-world use.
I bought an NV800 at your recommendation in 2019 and love it so much. I've cleaned a lot of houses with it and more than made my money back. It's the best vacuum I've ever owned!
Really enjoyed this video! Nice to hear references to what you used to do (cleaning company) and where you draw your experience at. Great listening and thanks for the content
Do you remember FANTOM vacs? I believe they were popular back in the 90's and/or early 2000's, and they were the first mass produced bagless vac. I had 2 of them, and they blew my mind back then. Got me interested in vac technology in general, and at one point my wife thought I was crazy when I had 7 vacuum cleaners in the house! Love your channel!
@schumacherenator Believe it or not I work for Dyson and have done exactly this, with 32 wands. It's just as great as you think it is, and it still works! :)
@@EpicSawce You work for Dyson eh? When you leave the office at the end of the day, do you have to peel away the door from the frame to exit the building?
This is the channel I've been going to when stressed about the election. No joke have purchased multiple vacuums over the past several months based on these videos (loving my S5 Max and Shark Vertex lift away! 😍)
@@VacuumWars Do you think Xiaomi mi Robot Mop Pro is worth it? It is slightly cheaper than the S5 Max but in comparison the Mop Pro looks better in software and updated Hardware.
I received one of those red Shark lift away Duo Clean vacuums on a liquidation pallet I bought earlier this year. It was brand new in the box but I decided to give it a try and man I was impressed. It became my every day use vacuum.
Love your videos. I bought the Shark Apex Zero M with no hesistation after your review of it. It happened to be on sale almost 50% off the MSRP. Great buy! Always enjoy people like you who do these thorough tests. It makes purchasing these neccessary household items MUCH EASIER.
Absolutely love your videos! I ended up getting the shark nv352 and have loved it so much my sister and mother have both bought one, we're all hooked! It's so good at cleaning, everything is replaceable, and its so freaking cheap! It easily beats orecks at over double its price. Not trying to sound like I work at shark but it really is incredible! Thanks for all the objective and scientific tests
NV800s may be discontinued, but new ones (in disguise) can still be purchased. I was hoping the newly released Vertex would be the one to buy, but the Vertex is too wide to get In between chair legs etc.. The other new shark Rotator ADV has a smaller cleaning path, but doesn’t have powered lift away feature I want. All of the newer shark vacuums will only have powered lift away with a larger cleaning path head. My search continued and based on what I found in October 2020, any of the NV800 models hit the mark for the features I want(smaller cleaning path, duoclean, powered lift away, powerful, hepafilter, etc), EXCEPT for the anti hair wrap technology(long hair, don’t care). I decided it was a sacrifice I was going to have to make and I searched everywhere for a NV800 series shark vacuum with no luck(unless I wanted to buy a used one, yuck). Then I discovered that the NV800W, NV800, NV800C, NV801, NV801Q, NV803, UV810 are all the SAME EXACT VACUUM.The NV800s are hard to find, BUT the same UV810 is the same vacuum and is the one I ended up purchasing from QVC for $300+ $28.50 S&H. I purchased from QVC because Target, Home Depot and another retailers sell the NV810 with fewer attachments and cost more or the same. If I had just searched a little longer I could’ve found the seemingly perfect version of this vacuum on Nordstrom Rack’s website with Zero M anti hair wrap technology($350)! FYI, the Nordstrom’s rack website does not say which model number it is and I’m basing the perfectness of it on the photo of the vacuum(zoom in and it says Zero M). Search for “DuoClean Self-Cleaning Brushroll Powered Lift-Away Vacuum” On the Nordstrom’s Rack website and it will take you to it. If I hadn’t already received the the one from QVC, I would have purchased the one on Nordstrom’s rack! Hope this help someone else on their vacuum search journey.
I’ve used Dyson and shark but couldn’t live with them due to my allergies . I’ve learned for me that I have to use a sealed bag system to avoid the miseries of my allergies and sinus issues . I do use a robot vac in my garage and on my patio and they seem to do well and don’t seem to affect my allergies at all being that they aren’t connected to my home hvac system . 👍
@@stacy9694 I have a Sebo D4 it’s a large canister vac a Miele U1 upright . I like Sebo . If you can find a Sebo dealer they can help u with what u need as for something suitable for your floor types . I like a canister vac for my whole house and car .
Just picked up a V11 Torque Drive, on Black Friday sale for $550 on QVC (normally $700), and your channel has been incredibly informative about helping me make that decision. I have binge watched a bunch of your videos today. Really excited for it to arrive!
Thanks to you I decided to get the Dyson V11 Torque Drive and I could not be happier with my purchase! Especially since they now come with a removable battery. I really appreciate all the hard work you do to review all of these vacuums 😄
I prefer to sleep the floor and often nap wherever i feel like, so keeping the floors clean is very important to me. I'm very happy to have found this channel
Hey Vacuum Wars! Can you review all Cordless Wet and Dry Vacuum Mops ever? Hoover, Bissel and Shark plus others make one! I know you made a review of acouple but there are still others on the market like the Hoover Onepower Jet and more. Putting them all in one test to see the best one please. I am in the market for one but cannot seem to find too much info on them as far as difference in power, etc...Thanks a bunch . Hope you read this
OMG! I squirreled a split second before you squirreled and it made me go 😮😁🥰 That and I'm coordless vacuum shopping and your videos have been very helpful. Thank you.
I bought my shark navigator lift away on Facebook marketplace for $8 almost 5 years ago and it’s still my favorite vacuum. I have a dog and 6 cats and it’s just the best one 🤷🏻♀️
Hey nice to see a Riccar! Glad to know they found their way into an every day use for you considering how many options you have! Riccar is a great company!
Here’s my vacuum story! I have been researching for weeks now!! Hours! I really wanted a cordless because I live in an apartment and wanted to do my stairs and car..long story short..I got the moosoo-again after doing hours of research! The battery was said to last up to 43 min..it did not..it had about 5-7 min before dying. I emailed them for a replaceable battery. Never came in and I returned it last weekend..SO here I am now on the hunt again!!!...what do you recommend for I would say medium sized carpet in an apartment???? Thanks so much!!! I also have a short haired dog.
This is a question I’ve always wondered, which vacuum does this guy use?! You test out so many vacuums so I’m super curious as to which one you use on a daily basis
Very nice! The vacuums I use the most in my collection are the light ball, V11 absolute, Henry, and my Shark powered Liftaway the most out of my entire collection of about 100ish vacuums
We bought a Thermax 25 years ago. Still use it without any problems or the need to replace any parts. Sure it was expensive however, it’s paid for itself. Vacuums are so well engineered, efficient & low cost now that it would be interesting to see a comparison including Thermax, Rainbow or Kirby.
I want to know if a high-end battery powered stick vacuum can completely replace a traditional upright, plug-in vacuum (maybe mid-range?) for carpet/hard floors. It would be really interesting for you to do a video that explores that specifically.
Other than your Shark uprights, my frequently used vacuums (FUV's) aren't that far off from yours. I like my Dyson stick vac, the robots, and my corded Ricaar Supralite. Funny story - I was in a big work meeting the other day and vacuum wars started playing and I couldn't shut it off quickly. No idea how it got started, but everyone at the meeting got to hear a lot of a VW review. And now they know the dirty, little secret - I love vacuums!
Rainbow for deep cleaning the whole house, walls, drapes etc. Hoover wind tunnel upright for regular carpet cleaning. (New Hoovers don’t compare to old ones) Shark upright in the basement. Roomba J7+ upstairs, regular Roomba downstairs frequently. Thanks mom for showing me how it’s done!
I bought the speed duo clean based off your review and I love it, but I agree Shark PLEASE come out with a speed duo clean with anti hair wrap! I need it!
I run a vacuum shop. Love your channel. However we don't sell Shark at all because we can't get parts for them. Some filters and hoses but that's it. Can't sell machines that we can't repair. We try to stick with Miele and Riccar/Simplicity, I just wish they advertised them like Shark.
I just bought a Certified Refurbished Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Vacuum NV350REF from Walmart for $190 with an added 3 year warranty. I can’t wait to use it! Thanks for sharing your knowledge & experience with us!
Hi,we really like and appreciate your efforts in doing all the reviews! It really helped us to make the decision of buying our vacuum cleaner. Just wonder will you be doing a review on the Dyson Digital Slim cordless vacuum? Thanks.
I love Shark vacuums. I tried Dyson but found that they began to really stink every time I ran it and there was no way to clean the dirt from inside the cyclone without completely taking them apart and you are not suppose to do that. Shark is easily cleaned and the filters easy to remove making it my forever pick.
Since bought my Roomba 595 years ago really haven't needed another. Secert to robot vacumms is run them at lest 3 times a week so even bounce around will pretty much cover all flour space
@@VacuumWars it covers our whole first floor, kitchen, living room, entrance way, hallway, bathroom, 2 bedrooms. Only problem one front bump sensor is blind so knocks its charger base around so can't always connect wifh it. Changed old battery with their new one and went crazy just knocks stuff out of its way including end tables.😡 it just doesn't want to quit
So if you had to choose between the Shark Navigator Lift-Away NV352 vs Shark Vertex az2002, and you didn't mind the more premium price, would you go with the AZ2002 for general household use?
My neighbor placed 3 vacuums by the curb. I had been looking for one. I brought them in they were severely clogged. I cleaned them in half an hour. Now I have a Hoover Pet Wind Tunnel, A Dirt Devil Pet and a small Dirt Devil. The Hoover is so quiet. Like new.
Cleaner so sort of a vacuum freak. Lately, I got a shark pet, green for $5. I has replaced my cleans where I used Kirby, Dyson, upright shark. So, got the orange shark rocket. Now, got the 480 Duo. Not giving up my Oreck but these sharks are kicking butt on new home cleans. Kirby is my workhorse to remove the carpet fibers and the hose is better than a shop vac but everyone that uses my Sharks tries to take it.
I have used Bissell and Shark. I currently have a Shark Navigator Swivel Pro. I love it. But I recently bought a Kirby Ultimate G on eBay. My neighbor had a Kirby years ago and I loved it. 4 Times a week I would go over to her house and vacuum for her with her Kirby. I am waiting for it to arrive and I can't wait for it to get here!
Surprised you use bag-less models at the house. Cleaning out dust cups and filters on Dysons made me realize how much I just want to replace a single bag. Hoping bagged units stage a come-back.
what about the shark cordless vacuum cleaners with duo clean and anti hair wrap? In Germany shark is brand new on the market and they offer two cool vacuum cleaners, both with a "gimmick". One can be folded to clean under furniture and the other one has a removable Motor part, so you can hold it in your hands to clean stairs or high objects. It looks like great products because they offer 5 years of warranty and have solid buid quality and duo clean + anti hair and they also offer removable battery packs. I actually like them more than dysons from the build quality and differnet materials used. Dysons have a cheap look to me.
we love are navigator lift aways... it just works good and it's simple! i wish it was better for hairs tangles tho. but it's been are deep clean vaccum for years and it's still going strong like day 1. I am in the market for a dyson for daily quick vaccuming
I watched like 2 dozen of your videos and still can’t decide. I have 1 small carpet room and a flee problem. Which vacuum should I get. Price not an issue. Thank you!!
I have a i7 and a T8 AIVI i7 gets stuck every day. T8 stuck once a month. No contest. I even had to make deep rug a no go for the i7 and T8 has no trouble at all.
Is there a particular reason you are not testing Miele vacuums? I think most people would be shocked how they compare to your current vacuum lineup, just a suggestion, I love your content. Thanks.
Just found your channel (great stuff by the way) and I was wondering, in your experience, is the Shark Vertex too powerful for entry-way rugs? For example, I have carpet mostly throughout my home, but I have a small throw rug at the front door where we have tile and then at my sliding door I have a runner laid on the carpet (to help with the dogs muddy paws). I have read where the Vertex can be "too" powerful and was curious if you think it would be a problem for those small rug spots? Would it "suck them up" too much and if so, should I try the Apex? I understand you can only go by your own personal experiences and I know you can't be 100% in your answer (rug weight, material, etc can vary), but I figure with what you have seen I would ask you. Thanks for the time and keep it up the greatness! EDIT - Actually ... just thought of something else (if I may ask), as most of my home is carpeted, would a duo-clean be worth it? I remember seeing one video where you stated something about the soft roller needs to be removed and cleaned to avoid jamming (not your words exactly, sorry) so maybe in my case a vacuum with just the no-tangle roller and no soft roller (like the Shark Rotator) would be better? Once again, thanks for any and all thoughts :) Off to check out your website now! EDIT 2 - And now I feel stupid. Just watched your Vertex review and about a minute in you talk about the suction adjustment on the handle. Thanks for taking the time to read this (idiot's) post. :D
You really ought to give the Vorwerk Kobold vacuums a review, the latest upright model is the VK200, the latest cordless upright is the VB100, and the latest cylinder model is the VT300... I have the previous model upright, the VK150, and it is honestly the best vacuum I have EVER owned. I’ve had Kirby, Dyson, Filter Queen, you name it, but nothing comes close to my Kobold. Now they don’t sell them in the United States so you have to buy from eBay and you can actually find some brand new in the box and they are a little pricey and you probably will have to pick up a step up/down transformer to convert the voltage but like I said, Best Vacuum Ever!
Can you tell me how you trace the path of the robot vacs with the white line in your videos? Please!?! And thank you! I'm going with a Roboroxk S5 Max!
It’s sort of a secret actually. I came up with it after looking for a solution for a long time. I prefer not to give it out since I want competitors to figure it out on their own. But still - thank you for watching and I'm glad you like it.
@@arreff2012 From what I can see, he just sticks something white to the vacuum, and uses video editing magic to lay the frames over each other. Since the camera is in a fixed position and only the robot moves, this works. I'm not sure if I'm right, but I'm pretty sure that this method would work, even if I'm wrong.
Interesting Video. I'm asked the same. Since I own many brands of Vacuums, What brand do I use on a regular usage at home. Since I have pets and stairs, I prefer using my Sebo X4 at home. My kids (since dad provides at no charge) have different cleaning needs own differant vacuums cleaners as well. I see that you like the Riccar battery upright. Keep in mind that this is a full size vacuum. We sell them at our store and the Simplicity Battery operated upright. The Simplicity comes with a wooden roller brush, while the Riccar comes with a Metal as seen in this video. The warranty's are the same and yes, the battery comes with a full 2 yr warranty.
Interesting that you use the cordless Riccar for resetting the deep clean test - I thought it was the Zero G considering how well it did on that test (although if it had to be sent back as it was a review unit that's understandable). I also predicted there being Sharks and at least one robot vacuum in the lineup and was right there so there's that.
Not the point, but....I love your downstairs rug. The one the I-7 is on. Would you mind sharing where it came from? Thanks for all the great vacuum info!
always fun to watch your vids. thank you for what you do. wonder if most of your fans are OCD? ;-) the pic of you surrounded by your vacs makes me think they are like your children... and some you like better than others ;-DD
Confused why you wouldn’t use a cordless stick or canister for home? Heard it’s more convenient and maneuverable than a corded upright and good for both carpet/hardwood. New to this and trying to decide between canister and upright (the latter I’ve used my whole life) and didn’t see a whole lot of discussion about this on your channel. Thanks!
Nice presentation :-) Thank you :-) For me, none of the above. I tried few cordless vacuums and didn't like them; I found them top heavy, don't hold charge to finish vacuuming, and don't vacuum pet hair very well . I like Kenmore , canister (from Sears). I have 2, 20 years old and working great.
I think it would be very interesting If you test dysons new cinetic big ball absolute 2. Since it claims to be the only vacuum with HEPA like behaviour, but without any filters.
Used pliers to pull all of the hard bristles out of the brush roller on my shark Apex zero M leaving the fins that do not touch the floor and it works Amazing on my laminate floors with the front soft roller feeding the vacuum area.tried on my low pile carpet middle setting and it still seems to pick up everything I see it run over.Have yet to try in hard floor mode more suction without the bristles on the low pile carpet
i know im multiple years late here and im sure you're well aware of his by now but there is a shark duo clean with a Zero M roller head with the model number ZU881. While it doesnt have the word “speed” in its name, it looks almost completely identical to the N803. After comparing pics of them for waay to long (lol) It does appears to have it’s power button in a different spot, but other than that I cant tell any difference between the two from their pictures. I think maaybe it may have a slight larger bin? but if so the difference seems extremely miniscule. Ill attach a couple links to the one im talking about. For years it was only an in store target exclusive, which is why I think it’s sort of like a flew under the radar. Just recently though I noticed it became a target online exclusive, before it’s product page changed to just “sold out.” Now if you google the model number its being sold at tons of other websites like Amazon, Best Buy, QVC, Etc. Do you think its possible the brush head for the ZU881 would be compatible on the N803 given how identical they look?? Ive actually tried asking shark customer service about this numerous times, and have gotten inconsistent answers. As an N803 owner, a zero M brush head that would be a godsend, haha. (I actually bought an Apex a couple years ago, but before I could open it I somehow discovered your channel, and actually decided to exchange it for the N803 based on your praise for it at the time. And for years that was definitely a better move for me (so thanks haha, I definitely owe that to you!) now that ive moved to a place with mostly carpets, and gotten a second German Shepard…im definitely starting to long for a zero m brush head pretty much every time I vacuum these days 😂😩
Don't know if it's just a british thing but henry Hoovers. Lasts years, durable, reliable, no cyclone technology crap. Just sucks almost anything straight into a bag.
