Thanks for this great comparison video. I don't think I'll ever try one of his restaurants after seeing this. I'll never forget walking by the Linq location in September of 2020 and it being completely shutdown.
The pricing did not seem that terrible to me. Yeah it was $25 for a burger but it was a huge burger and it came with fries. Sure if I go to a chain or something it will be less but the burger places near me it will be $10+ for a burger without fries and the burger will be smaller. Or heck just checked chilis $17 for their bacon rancher burger, which looks smaller though it comes with fries. So $8 more and probably not $8 more in food but a bit more. So yeah its more expensive but not by so much it seems out of line. It was $5ish cheaper a couple years ago though, inflation it sucking.
Out of all the RU-vid couples that are Vloggers you and your wife are my favorites. I wish you would've shown us you biting into your food more especially your cornbread 😂... Good video tho.❤
We have been to Guy's Kitchen and Bar a few times, but have yet to visit the Flavortown restaurant. I agree with your assessment of Guy's Kitchen and Bar, the food is good, just not outstanding. They do have large portions, which helps. I really don't think there's a need to order an appetizer there, unless you're just starving hungry. I know it's a little pricey, but so is everything in Vegas. I've said for a long time that people just need to accept that prices are going to be higher for most all restaurants in Vegas. I think many get sticker shock when they come because they're used to the prices at their local Applebee's.
His burgers on Carnival Cruises are suprisingly great. I've walked up to the Branson Landing menu and it's about the same price as Vegas. Over $20. Expensive for SW MO
I tried the GFVK last year and got the trash can nachos. Way too much and could only eat half. They really weren’t that good. They just opened a Flavortown in the Horseshoe in Tunica and I’ll give it a shot in near future.
Those prices are off the rails. He has a location in Laughlin at Harrah's that was terribly expensive as well. I don't think it's just strip pricing. There's a similar comment about Kansas City below. He's gouging everywhere!
thx jordan i not been to any guys places and wont neither from what iv seen on socials,a lot say service very slow and prices sky high for what you get.i saw a chicken sandwich in his place in ceasars for 20dollars it was a bun some lettuce and 3 chic fingers instead of a patty omg. will be there next week if you are about il say hi
The chicken you showed at first glance looked to me like a piece of battered fish . Anyhow you mentioned that he Mac and cheese was the most delicious you had ever eaten. Any idea why , what do you figure made this Mac and cheese recipe so yummy . Perhaps the choice of cheese . Could you figure the kind of cheese used . ? Hmm
Beef prices have been going up now for 8 straight years.A lot of sit down restaurants charge at least 18.99 for a burger out of Vegas and around 25 in Vegas. If the quality is good and the serving size fair..25 a burger is the reality right now. You can get a fast food burger for cheap but then so is the quality. OTOH I thought the drink prices especially during off hour day time is way too high 22+ a single drink. No. Cheers.
The drinks are outrageous. These are sports bars, not high-end lounges. $17-18 would be normal "Vegas price" for the cocktails at these restaurants. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review. I think it's "Guy Fieri pricing". The prices at his place here in KC make me angry. I did enjoy the Mac N' Cheese burger at the Linq, but $8-$10 overpriced probably. But everything on the menu is overpriced. I'm staying at Paris in 2 weeks and thought about trying his new place at the Horseshoe. It depends on where we decide to watch NCAAF most likely.
As an English guy I have no idea who this person is however I've seen the restaurants and been tempted to check them out but those prices seem extremely over priced for what it is.
He's been a star on the Food Network here in the states for a long while. He went to school at UNLV in Vegas and his show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives has been on the air since 2007 and is still going strong. He's parlayed that into other shows and quite a bit of fame on this side of the pond.
Everyone I’ve seen says that his restaurants are overpriced. I’m kinda blah on the celebrity restaurants HOWEVER I’ve heard good things about Bedford and international smoke. Everyone’s surprised at Bedford because no one can stand Martha Stewart lol.
My husband and I went to the linq one and we got the trash can nachos to share and when they come out there was a long black hair in it! No problem we will remake it ok cool the new ones came and I’ll be damned if there wasn’t another black hair. I have medium blonde hair and my husband is bald mind you. Asked for the manager after the second hair and she was had a nasty tone said she was sorry ok can we have the check she came back and gave us the military discount are you kidding me
Nope. I've been to his restaurants in the past and like him they are overrated. Expensive. Poor service. Food is good/ok but not great. Been to better local restaurants at reasonable prices. I see him different now after eating his food ... Overrated. Thank you for the video Jordan!
great video, but burgers with mac and cheese and fried onions, and sugared fries? Literally represents everything wrong with American food these days, no wonder why everyone is fat
