I met Saint Vincent in a coffee shop, short story she is really sweet, put me on the guest list for her gig later that day. She rocked at that gig, love her guitar, I hear a big Prince/Hendrix influence in the best way of course.

This video was over the top, Ryan I have to say it was worth the work for us viewers. This should top one of your all time favorite. Bubbles and Playout was Fantastic. This is what someday I'll be able to do with a lot of practice. I guess I better get started. LOL

Love the edits. As much as I love the St. Vincent, I wish so badly they had a different headstock. I love the neck specs on them, but the headstock just kills the aesthetic.

@@60CycleHumcast Fair, I used to hate the traditional fender violin profile headstock. Dremel'd big old half circles into some of my strats. Thankfully, I learned the error of my ways by the time I'd bought my first jag and mustang.

I have the blue 3 mini humbucker Sterling. Love it...! It has become my favorite studio guitar (I have well over 30) for its versatility, tone, and the fact that it could pass for single coils in a mix, but noise free. Nice and chimey. Can even quack. Used it on sessions for some major artists. Locking tuners as well. Plays great too. Wiggle stick does the job flawlessly. An absolute bargain in my opinion. Thanks Ryan, for another great video.

THANK YOU! I've been trying to to figure out if the Sterling neck compares to the EB/MM neck, but haven't been able to get my hands on a Sterling. Though I'm disappointed, I REALLY appreciate this info!

yeah the neck shape is one of the bigger differences. The sterling feels alot more generic, its not a bad neck at all but it doesn't have that unique ernie ball style neck.

I’ve got the full fat Music Man. It’s the one guitar I would keep if I had to let them all go. The Rosewood neck is great, the wax and gun oil finish is fantastic. That said, the prices now that people have caught on are crazy. But they were very much worth the prices you would find them for in 2016. All HH Sterlings seem to be the same guitar in different shapes. But if the shape is fundamentally what you like most about the guitar, it’s a good way to go.

You're a hoot Ryan, an entertaining video. I have liked the look of the body shape on the St Vincent (I'm talking about the guitar here, but y'all could say the same about the lady herself you know!) , but doing most of my playing sitting I find straight line geometric body shapes not very comfortable. Your comment about the feel got me to have a closer look, it does seem to have all the cuts and bevels in the right places, so yea there you go. I'm curious, at just before the 30 minute mark there's a guy sitting behind you who looks a lot like photos I've seen of Sterling Ball, that him?

Speaking as a bassist, Sterling basses are great, but most are heavy enough to deserve their own Zip code. US EB basses are more better. More importantly, they don’t leave me crippled after a long gig.

The Sterling is closer to my price point. But if I'm going to spend even what the Sterling prices out at MSRP, might as well go a few hundred more with an Airline 3P DLX for this level of a niche guitar body shape. I already have a couple of Monoprice Retro Classic Telecaster with the in-line 6 Partridge Family headstock and that was considerably more affordable than either, So I won't be buying neither the Sterling nor Music Man. As for a sterling, I'm more of a Cutlass model Strat shape.
