John thanks for being here. I really enjoy the content you continually provide. Ive been playing for a long time and like others have peaked out. Your perspectives are clear and fresh. I have had some ah ha moments and that is saying a lot. Thanks again.
Had to jump in while watching and say how much I love that semi hollow tele. Looks beautiful and sounds even better. What pickup is that in neck position? Is it a mini humbucker of some kind?
Love the Beatles tunes and particularly with Eric Claptons guitar parts with the lead playing etc…thanks so much for all your great song choices and lessons 🎸….would love to see you do some delta blues slide lessons with accoustic 👍
Eric Clapton does a superb job here, but George Harrison's guitar playing (and obviously song-writing) is so far above Clapton, in terms of melodic sophistication, chord-tone choices, and complementing the song, and George invited Clapton to participate in order to get the other Beatles to pay attention to the quality of the song.
George even sometimes used dissonant chord progressions (i.e. Gmaj. to C#7 which is not Relative the Gmaj., but is in somewhat common use today And as you say, Decades before Eric Clapton did it . 😮
