New subscriber, but from your other videos. You are amazingly talented. It just seems to flow right out of you. Stick anything with strings in your hands and you just seem to stroke it until it makes sounds that stir the soul. What an apt song, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"... it is crying with joy at having your hands make it produce such amazing music! You have such a wide range, too and a unique sound/style. Stay true to yourself. You are one of a kind!

Anyone who's wondering what "dynamics" means with regards to guitar? This is a perfect example. It doesn't mean playing loud or louder; after 46 yrs of playing, I'm not sure this can be taught. You either feel what you're playing and these dynamics come out through practicing your style, or you don't. Glorious playing. Thank you!

Good music is where it's always been, hiding out in far flung corners of the world. The radio may be a slightly less good way of collecting some of it together in one place, but arguably while theres a lot more you have to sift through, it's a lot easier to find the REALLY good stuff with the internet, old or new. And remember, the past has the benefit of having already searched through to find some of the best, and was able to easily and cleanly forget about the bad. The present's got the new stuff, which imo balances out the bad. Bardcore for example. A lot of it's bad, low effort, or even just midi translations. But theres some real stuff in that trend, and it sounds GOOD, if that's your kind of taste. Personally, I love peasant music of all eras, cultures, and styles. Suffering creates good art, as sad as that is, and I'm as much a peasant as all my ancestors right down to the first ape that got on it's hind legs. Working class american, Vast latino diasporas, the chronic suffering yet unquenchable positivity of irish trad, the still conquered but still fighting scottish, the icy cold neverending gothic of eastern europe. The older than mountains spirit at the core of traditional chinese, the peasant victims of japan's warrior culture, and the modern day backbreaking stress of the salaryman too stressed to even make music but with the energy to choose music, and the suffering to choose well. Music from dead cultures that have been wiped out by the nobility and oppressors that crushed our ancestors into the dirt as well as them. Modern defiance music, Jazz, classic pop, punk rock, all the thousands of kinds of metal, And best of all, the many syntheses of all these categories from the emerging zeitgeist of the modern peasant, united across all borders by the internet, that within our lifetimes will stretch across the globe. Imagine the music we'll all make when that freshly opened up globe shrinks again when the water comes in to claim our shores. How sharp the minors, how angry the majors, how deep the soul, and how fast the swing. Every kind of noise humanity ever learned to make in a single harmony to the end of the world... or in defiance of that end, and an ending of the source of that pain. I wonder if once suffering is over, the best music on earth will be made from happiness?

Takes my breath away, your gift, shared through this transformed oil can. A mini vacation much needed by me in the slow pluck and prolonged twang you made this oil can cry out, reveal and announce your soul with. I thank you for what you shared with us through this sound, your music became the blood pumping through my veins that freed parts of me long kept hidden by all work and no fun in my life for too many years now. Don’t ever stop sharing this gift, we need you, your gift lit my soul on fire today. Much gratitude to you for sharing and opening some of us up with your unique sound. I want to hear you play live somewhere in my future. Powerful, your gift is. ☺️

The background reminds me of a house I owned in Fla., right on a pond with a big deck and swing we use to fish off of! Love the music too!

How do ever get to meet this guy? Send him a guitar made out of one of my old prosthetic feet that I’ve got laying around?

@@kaisadler Justin was scheduled to play and give a workshop in Navasota, Texas for the Mance Libscomb Festival. At the time, I was selling my CBGs at the store where the venue was held. We met and talked for a while. I left to go to my home in Katy, TX. Imagine my surprise when my wife Marilyn called me on the cell to tell me that Justin called her to see if I had some fret wire I could spare for him. Justin and Nikki came to our home later that day in their camper. We ordered Chinese for dinner and talked for hours getting to know each other. They then spent the night at our home and were even gracious enough to cook us breakfast the next morning! 💯❤😁
