Laura, I love your video… your instructions are spot on! Thankyou for sharing. Could you do a quick video on the pulling out of color from a straight line as you did in the branch? It’s not as easy as you clearly make it look.. lol
Hi Laura! Your whimsical bird in watercolor is so fabulous. Your birdie's heart shaped wing heart/hope turned out so well. I love when you add those touches of gold. So exciting to see when you will be creating in your new natural light nook. Is this painting for the challenge? Several artists are doing multiple entries, you can just add the hashtag in your title and this one can be included as well. Big hugs to you my friend.
Absolutely love your watercolor paintings. The bird is adorable. The technique on the branch was a wonderful application. I would not have thought to do it that way. Thank you!!
I started following you yesterday and I'm so grateful. I like your style ;-). I did send an email with questions where you get your brushes and that gold paint. Thank you
Hi Laura, this is an awesome tutorial. I’m new to watercolor and trying to find a style. Really enjoyed the whimsy of this painting as well as learning your blending techniques. Will be trying some of your other tutorials next. Thank you!
Sweet little bird!🐦❤️ I like how you did the branch, it came out great. Love the swirly tail too. I would love to see a video on the bird holding the flower that you showed at the end.
Okay I watched the video myself because I couldn't remember lol. For the brushes, I used the Silver Black Velvet no.10 or 8 I think and the the 2nd brush is an Artegria brush, no.8 most likely. The paper is the Arches 90lb rough cotton watercolor paper. That paper is very hard to find and I have very little of it left!
I loved your video and your bird. Would you mind telling me (again, I know) the colors you used for the background? The background is fabulous; it’s seamless! Thank you for sharing your work. And your chatter makes the video extra personal!
Hello Charlotte! I hope you see this comment... apologies about not getting back to you sooner. I went back to my video and saw that I used the Silver Black Velvet No.12, I believe, for the branch.
