Hey. I have a whirlaway 25 foot lance. It came with a smaller quick connect then the rest of my pressure washer. I think its a 1/4 size? Would this surface cleaner fit it? For washing roofs. Mossmatic is a bit expensive
Looks like a common problem with these units is they stop spinning. When I took mine apart the brass fitting at the bottom of the aluminum housing is pressed in there, I believe this is whats causing my issue. As the bearing spins fine, but once the shaft is set in and it seats down in the brass seat it becomes noticeably more tough to spin. Bit of a piss of I've only used the thing like 6 times.
Hmmmmm, interesting. I bought one of these a couple of years ago, and it has worked well. I greased it before using it and the grease came out the other side. From your helpful video here, I am guessing that the grease went around the bearings. Can you do an experiment to test this? Perhaps the grease, under pressure, pushes past the seals. If the bearings don't get greased, then what is the point of the grease nipple? Do we grease the seals? Does the grease help to prevent water ingress?
@@rutlandpumps thanks for the quick reply man, appreciate ya. Im trying to decide between a 16inch or a 20inch for my 4gpm. I see guys using the 20 with the 4gpm but have to make two passes. Thoughts? Thanks for your time!
Yes loctite, be careful with heat as there are rubber o rings that the heat will damage, heat it gently with a hair dryer or hot air gun rather than with actual flame
@@rutlandpumps Did the mod today. Made a heat shield around the hub, and filled the rotor and hub with water. The assembly was undamaged and had all bearing seals intact. Removed 3 of the bearing seals. After reassembly applied new grease.
