Thank you VERY much for this video, last night I came downstairs to a partially flooded basement due to the water from the washing machine pouring onto the floor, turned that off and then spent hours absorbing as much water out of the carpet as I could. Today I watched this video and found the issue and fixed it. Washing machine is now running correctly and I'm working on getting the carpets dry. This video helped me a lot. Thank you again.

Thanks to you, we were able to change parts and see how to open the dryer in the right order, we replaced the motor, the belt, the blower wheel, the element and all the seals and foam. We have a new dryer that will last for another 25 years.👍👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟👏👏👏👏 Take care and bless you.

How did you determine the lid switch was broken? Mine had been working fine and all of a sudden the washer just does not turn on..

Wet4027hw0 doesnt have those mefal clips behind the Access panels to detach the washer lid on the back. How tf do i get this lid off. Seemsnlike this is going to be a nightmare

I have just replaced the dryer belt on my 3.5 year old machine. What had happened was that the retaining clip that is supposed to be on the end of the spindle that carries the pulley on the idler arm had never been installed, and the pulley gradually worked itself out of line, causing the belt to run hard against one edge, which stretched it. During disassembly I discovered that the connection between the vent aperture in the door and the pipe in the machine was out of alignment by approximately half an inch, and thus the entire interior was covered in 3/4 of an inch of lint. It was not possible to re install the front cover without first propping up the drum with a 1 foot 2 X 4, removing the door, and supplementing the screws holding down the top cover to make it stay flat enough to allow the flange of the front cover to overlay it.Overall, only a minority of the screws aligned enough with their holes to allow re installation without the use of a clamp to pull the sheet metal into alignment. I was unable to resolve the misalignment in the venting pipe. For this reason I believe this unit presents a significant risk of fire, and I plan to replace it as soon as possible. My decision is made easier, though certainly not easy, by the fact that the machine has never satisfactorily cleaned clothes. On all but one cycle it is not possible even to get them completely wet. It is not possible to wash dry cloth. I will not be buying an American designed or manufactured replacement. It seems that this country sunk has so far into decadence that it can't even make a decent washing machine.

I have the same question. Exact same model as yours. Get the point of taking off those fabric covered panels. Then it's just flat on the back. No springs there. Did you ever figure it out? If so how? I didn't want to just start unbolting/unscrewing everything that is in the area of the lid on the back. But I think that will eventually be process of elimination to get it done lol

Thanks for the video. It was really helpful in taking the dryer apart. My problem is a loud sound when the dryer is on which goes away after a few minutes. I thought the wheels need replacing but they spin freely. But I did notice the white wheel on the retaining arm didn't move much at all. Would I be correct in my assumption that it's that wheel that needs replacing?

I am also looking for a video about this. I spent some time and removed the back panel. The only way to remove the top cover for the washing machine is to remove the dryer. Wow. This might be easy at the assembly plant, but not in a small laundry room. Now it is a 2-person job.

I have a new model of the WET4027HW0 stackable washer/dryer and the top panel/lid is one piece from front to back and I need to replace the washer lid switch. Do I have to remove the entire upper dryer to get at the lid switch? The video shows a shorter top panel/lid, which is straight forward to remove.

Yes, I have the same problem; i need to gain access to the 'HW0 insides to replace the suspension rods, and I don't see any easy way to do that, other then completely de-stacking the dryer.

Great video ! I have an old Whirlpool LTE6234AW1. (when pluged in) the washer setting control knobI pull it out to start the washer But nothing happens. however if i turn the dryer selector to any setting and depress the power button for the dryer ,water starts to fill up the tub. this is so odd. what part would you think i should replace or what steps to trouble shoot for replacement parts? mucho appreciated

I have the same washer/dryer combo. I have it all apart. The washer was only thing on and it smelled hot and wouldn’t turn anymore. Their doesn’t appear to be a belt for the washer motor so I’m assuming the washer motor has gone bad? Please respond! Would be greatly appreciated!

Great video. My dryer operates well until the very last part of the drying cycle. When the dryer is hot a loud rubbing sound starts coming out of the dryer. If I stop it and start it. the sound goes away but after a few minutes it comes back. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it?

I found the problem. When the dryer heated up the blower wheel expanded enough to contact one of the screws holding on the blower housing inlet cover plate.

@@LUCAMTire thank you!! And sorry to be confusing, I was warching the "Fridgidaire Affinity Washer Lid Latch Assembly #137353300" video also by Repairclinic.com. The latch is on our right side. He pushed it with a flathead to get it off amd pull it down. That's what I was meant to ask. 😂
