Thanks to your video I was able to repair my friends’ Kenmore. It was cooling only intermittently and my friends were tapping on thermostat cover and fiddling with the control dial to get it to turn on.

Can you please tell me how to take off the wing piece? 😢 My spare part didn't come with it.

Can you explain how you got that last connector out. Your hand blocks the shot and I can't tell what you pressed down on. I've tried multiple things and nothing will release the connector. I've repaired many things so I'm familiar with connector but this one won't release.

@JJL-1962 1 second ago I found the correct part, WP2210491, and followed the install instructions as it's a pretty easy install. The new thermostat is working but keeps the temp between 32-34 degrees. It's almost in the off position so I don't have any more room to adjust. Any reason why this would happen? Should I reverse the connections on the part? Does anybody answer these questions?
