Join me as I visit Bardstown, Kentucky with friends, Scott Bartlett and Tracy Sharrits as well as another couple. Located in the heart of the Bluegrass State, Bardstown is a beautiful, quaint small town. In fact, during our short visit, it was easy to see why Rand McNally and USA Today declared Bardstown the Most Beautiful Small Town in America.
Settled in 1780, Bardstown is Kentucky’s second-oldest city. The stagecoach stop that was built in 1779 still stands today as a tavern, restaurant, and bed & breakfast. Bardstown is now known as the Bourbon Capital of the World! There are nine bourbon distilleries located within 16 miles of downtown Bardstown. We visit Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History and end our evening with a carriage ride through the quiet town.
